    Just bought the Dyson DC44 Animal Handstick Boost, the Paypal transaction page says $364. But when you look at the details, it says $276.75 PayPal balance. So which is it? Problem is I forgot what Paypal balance I had before, so I can't do the maths.

    Any ideas?

      Think the invoice is for full amount, but paypal or target cover the rest, so it lists full amount but you only pay the discounted amount.

      If you check the details of the transaction it should say something like this

      $70.50 PayPal balance
$23.50 25% Off Target. Max discount $1,000. #CTARGET25

      I think people are moving away from ebay due to the crazy hike in fees over the last decade and the non-existent customer service. (Anyone know where to? What are the best ways to sell on Facebook? I googled and just got out-of-date articles that don't apply anymore due to changes at facebook).

      But instead of fixing these, they are just throwing a few dollars from their mountains of cash into sales like these to attract buyers and sellers.

      Nope, they are doing very well. Latest quarter results from last week… "EBay has reported third-quarter earnings of $US539 million ($A747.21 million). The e-commerce company posted revenue of $US2.1 billion in the period. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations." Stock is at 52 week high. The real reason they are doing these deals is imo, the threat of Amazon coming to OZ. Amazon has literally blown ebay off the radar. Their sales growth has been phenomenal lately.

      everyone always going on about cashrewards, I have tried to use this, half the time it doesn't pick up the transaction the other half, spent over $2000 of money in 2 transactions, that actually worked, looked yesterday when I was doing the cashback deal, my account balance is $0?! beginning to assume there is some kind of hidden term on how long the money is valid for? I just left it there to accumulate? either way thought I would throw this warning out there for people like me who let it accumulate till they have a descent sum of money to cash out with.

        Don't think you can cash out less than $5. I've had ~$4.80 in my account since May and it hasn't disappeared.
        The transactions generally take a while to be approved I have noticed though.

        Andrew here from Cashrewards. Once confirmed your Cashrewards do not expire unless you do not log-in to your account for a period of one year plus.

        Prior to being confirmed/locked, if goods are returned or the seller cancels the sale for a particular reason then the rewards will be reversed.

          I sent a PM and yesterday I used your site contact to follow up the issue. I definitely meet all those requirements, my purchases were back in march, is it possible my account could of been hacked and funds withdrawn without my knowledge?

          My experience with them has been a bit hit and miss.
          I think they have a problem with tracking where multiple transactions of the same value are undertaken on the same day.
          Undertook 3 txns with same purchase value on same day .. only 1 has tracked correctly. Raised a query and was told it normally takes 7 days to track… and if it hasn't tracked after that , because its Ebay, they cant investigate further.. and since they were rather larger transaction values I feel a bit cheated.. How can 1 transaction be tracked and 2 others not track … all purchased in same browser session… seems strange to me

          @cheapfab: yeah mine have been all misses! Used it for the last couple ebay sales & few other things but it has never worked
          So don't bother anymore! It's very dodgy as you have no idea if it has worked or not at end of your transaction

          I was in the same position during the ebay 15% off sale. Paid for 3 items in one transaction. 2 were tracked and the item with the higher amount didnt. All my items as fair as i could see met the requirements and were added to my cart in the same way
          Checked with Cashrewards and they told me the same thing. Pretty annoying.

        My experience with them has been good. I have a clean profile in Firefox to make sure no problems from ad blockers, other addons etc and haven't had any issues with transactions being tracked.

        Also, the T&C's state:

        5.8. Rewards do not expire
        Your rewards do not have an expiry date. Any points or amounts you have accumulated in compliance with these Terms Of Use will remain in credit against your membership account until you redeem them, as long as your membership account remains active and you continue to comply with these Terms Of Use.

        If you think something is up, contact them and ask about it. They've been very helpful when I have contacted them in the past.
