  • I've never gone p&o before, what are gratuities and on board pricing like? Are the free meals any good or are there other options?

  • Sounds like a good deal, however husband does not have any holidays…

    • +1

… there'll be plenty of other sea men aboard

      • I see what you did there 👍

  • +1

Very cheap. I went on this years ago and paid about $100/night.

If I could go spur of the moment I'd do this again.

  • They also have a two night syd mel cruise for $129pp. Dec 8.

Yeh I guess just tipping the cost over $700 plus the Amex deal makes this one extra appealing.

  • +3

I did a similar cruise last November.
Isle of Pines was my favorite. Such an awesome place to chill out on the beach or snorkel in the clearest bluest water ever. Would recommend.

  • Sold out already?

  • yep, sold out, please expire the post

  • Not totally sure it's expired. Keep an eye out. These were up on Friday for an hour then disappeared, then came back today. Nonetheless marked it.

  • Solid bargain, that is really cheap per night

  • +2

just followed your link OP, and then I found 10 night freemantle to Syd depart 15 Nov for $299 twin share, I booked 2 cabins and then it increased to $399, still a bargain though, seen sooooo many cheap cruises lately. thanks for posting

    • That's awesome glad you got it.
Says interior Stateroom! Is that like a fancy room!?

Ozcruising seems cheap enough as it is, add the Amex deal and it's outstanding.

Not sure of their pricing structure, this morning a twin for my cruise was $1250, just dropped suddenly. Guess some bookings may have been cancelled. Anyway. Yay!

      • Interior room means you've got no windows because you're in the middle of the ship. Not great for claustrophobic people.

      • +2

The normal rooms are called staterooms.
        Interior means no windows.
I kinda prefer them to windowed rooms personally. Great for naps any time of the day as they get no sunlight but nice air con.

        • +1

Ah ok. I thought Stateroom sounded fancy but it's just a name.

    • No cheap deal freo to Sydney…..shows 1299 as cheapest.

  • Bargain shame i missed this although i wouldnt be able to get time off work

  • +2

As I suspected it would be, deal is back on.

  • Thanks Hoju, just booked for my parent and their friends, got 2 booking request emails. Now I'm waiting for the confirmation emails to make payments, hope they honor the deal.

A dumb question, is this price included meals or just accomodation?

Looks like it's sold out again.

    • Alright, just got 2 emails back saying they're unable to confirm the reservation because it's sold out. I thought it would be a good present for the parent but turned out to be an embarrassment for me to inform them and their friends to cancel their holiday. If none of Ozbargainer except Hoju got the confirmation, I would be very pissed at this bait advertisement.

      • Man that's really unlucky. They have had the $399 price up all day today, you must have just missed out.
Hold tight though, the prices were sold out over the weekend and came back on Monday, Sold out yesterday and came back today so try again tomorrow?

        • It is back again

      • Did you try calling or booking online? I called up yesterday to enquire at about 11am and that ozcruising lady said they still had 9 cabins left at this price. Maybe they were sold out by the time you booked?
It might still be worth trying to get the outside cabin, I think they were about $600pp which is actually a fantastic price for a 9-night cruise AND it has a window.
I'd call though, I always have better success speaking to people.

        • I booked online, got the booking request emails then called them up after 5 minutes to confirm the booking and pay but the guy on the phone said he couldn't confirm on the phone and that i have to wait for the confirmation emails.

The price $600 wasn't there when I booked and it was sold out by the time that i received the cancellation emails.

Anyhow, I dug around the website last night try to find something else for them and got this https://www.ozcruising.com.au/detail/cruiseJ544. It's sold out now but i got 2 interior rooms for $599 pp. Thanks guys.

        • @lang_tu_syd:

Yeh damn as above its back again. Doh

        • @Hoju:

          I've been taken for a ride :(

        • @lang_tu_syd:

Yeh like I said hold tight as they would probably come back. Might be worth calling them and saying you were mislead and had to book another cruise at considerably more cost. Try and get some onboard credit as compensation or something?
