Time to stock these up. The Mixed Nut mix is $1.92 and is highly recommended if you want something that is nut heavy (it has cashews as well). The spicy peas are also half price @ $1.60.

Many thanks OP. This is a great snack but disastrously addictive :) I did not know that Woolworths stocks them.

I thought it was a Coles exclusive too, but apparently they've been at Woolworths for at least 3 months:

Both Coles & Woolies carrying these in the Nut aisle for a few years…

    • My daughter and I love the "Noodle Mix with Cashews" which, according to the packaging is "only at Coles".

      • Ah. That's the last one I ate. That would be why I thought it was a Coles exclusive.

Is it okay to eat these snacks often? Had a packet before and found it to be very salty but forgot to check the sodium content in the nutritional info.

    • +2

      They're very salty.

It's not okay to eat them "too often". That's why they're a snack. ;-)

      • Damn! There go my plans for dinner for the week

        /sarcasm

They're delicious as an occasional treat however if you're on a diet… they're pretty bad. A serving size of 30g (and trust me, you'll eat 150g not 30g) gives you 8g of fat, 16g of carbs, 5g of protein. It's nothing really bad for you, it will just give you a lot of calories that you'll either burn off or add to your belly. Nuts have a lot of good oils but it will still make you fatter if you eat more than you burn off.

I bought some the other day and the sizes for the regular and the cracker mix were 200g and the package written on it "New Larger Size!" same price as the other packets.

Thanks for the heads up. Spotted the new Bhuja Snacks range at my local Coles. Beer Mix, Trail Mix and Ancient Grain Twists.

    Talk about addictive!

  • yeppy…no need to travel all the way to Costco to get cheaper bhuja.

  • I couldn't help but read that as Majin Buu

What a coincidence, I was working through the night last week making these!

I tell you what though, you get tired of the smell of savory spice after scrubbing clean the machines. And the smell of BBQ ribs powder. And the smell of Herb and Garlic.

      But you'd get freebies yah?

      • Hahaha, officially no. I'll leave it at that because anything else could get me into trouble.

        • +1

I'd happily put up with the smell if it meant freebies! Or put Vicks Vapour Rub under your nose during shifts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM4mmIevdNc

        • @rawm: Well I just watched most of that, wow. I'm not sure if that's all true or what, but I'm feeling like Vicks is what they use in fantasy games to heal all ailments or something.

How is the factory like? I just went to their website and realise now that they make quite a few other products too.

That smell would just make me hungry all the time.

      • +2

The smell is hunger inducing in the first few days, but you get to smell it pretty concentrated and its less appealing when it is. Good thing though is that we don't make the same thing every day, we change it around a little.

I got the rice cracker mix this time, it's nice and has a good mix. My usual favourite is the nut mix.

    • +1

      the nut mix is awesome.

    • I did the same as those were the only ones left. I really liked them too. Quite balanced.

I'm also obsessed with these, just bought about 12 packs. If there's any left after the weekend I'll be surprised.
