    Heard great things about these umbrellas and purchased 3 last time around.

    After 2 or 3 uses, one of mine had the plastic cap on top of the shaft fall off and the entire fabric material fly off just as I opened the umbrella during rain.

      • My understanding of the words 'free shipping sitewide' would mean that everything on the site is free shipping. However I try to buy a razor scooter and its trying to charge me $10 shipping. Have I misinterpreted this deal as not being free shipping on everything on the site?

      I have had my three umbrellas for the past 4 years with no rips, tears or damage! They are actually really good for a 'cheap' price. So I would say they are definitely worth it!

      • Bear in mind that these are golf umbrellas. They are bigger than normal umbrellas. Mine is still going well after 2 years.

      • gave one away, lost one, ruined the other. Time for some more :)

    • i've had mine for a while, bought 2x 3 packs and i just have them in all the cars and house entrances/exits. None of them have broken yet.

  • Just word of warning. Purchased previous deal on the 01/11/2015 and still waiting. Apparently have system issues; consequently, have already been offered a refund.

    I said I would wait another week because I really want those umbrellas.

    Shipping is showing up as $8.95 for me and I am not in a rural location, I'm in suburban Canberra which is considered a metro area as far as shipping etc goes at other sites

    • Probably fine but my last experience wasn't so good. I bought some quilt covers. One was $20 and it came in the wrong colour. Despite this clearly being their mistake and their website clearly saying they pay for return postage when a mistake is made, they said I had to pay for postage. I said no, they pay for return postage, this was not our mistake. They then said to get return postage I would have to provide photo's of the receipt of purchase (despite it being in my account already), a photo of my address, and a photo of the item clearly showing it being the wrong colour. Are you kidding me!!??? For a $20 item? Anyway, I did it. Then they just asked in the end if I wanted to keep it and have $10 returned to me. To avoid the fuss of dealing with them anymore I accepted it. All this fuss for a $20 item on which THEY made the mistake.

      I doubt I will purchase from them ever again. YMMV.

    • I find it strange that tightarse is actually posting these. From my understanding the guys over at apdgroup (who do advertising for dealsdirect and co) have said "It is important to note these cannot be published prior to Click Frenzy going live at 7pm".

      So rules don't apply to TA?

        You’re right, the rules are to not post the deals online before ClickFrenzy starts at 7pm.

        In this case, TA approached us about posting this deal exclusively on OzB before the start time. We were a little hesitant but took this idea to DealsDirect who, on this occasion, was happy to give permission for TA to post a preview.

        As per the post title, nothing goes live until 7pm, so this is a preview only and the free shipping offer is not yet activated.

    I am still waiting to get umbrella from last deal (good few weeks passed).. I contacted them and got reply that they cant help as their supplier is having issues with ordering system. I asked for ETA and response was "We dont know as issue is with supplier"… DealsDirect never notified me about the issue and responded when I reached them after long time.. Shame..
    Clearly shows how poor their customer service is..

    I never received my umbrellas purchased 1/11/15. I haven't been offered a refund, either. I actually forgot about the purchase until I saw this deal.

    The umbrellas are not that great. They're good for the price I suppose but don't expect Blunt level quality, or even one-third of that. I have bought these and they lasted 2-3 winters but all had to be repaired at one stage or another. I expect if they had been used daily that they would not have lasted that long. YMMV

    • Well, it is still pretty good for the price :P And you can afford to lose them considering they are sold at this price every few months :)

      I don't know about the customer service issues above but these umbrellas are terrible quality. It is a classic case of you get what you pay for. I've had two lots of three previously and they just kept falling apart quickly. I thought for the price if I get six months out of each then that is worth it, but I was getting weeks out of them. Never again.

    Cashrewards hasn't been working for me lately. A purchase from Deal Extreme, Gearbest, eBay and Banggood hasn't been tracked and these purchases have been made over the last few weeks.

  • Not much of a deal when several items have been removed from the site. I was looking forward to ordering a bed but the one I was looking at and several others have strangely disappeared. Somehow I don't think it's a coincidence.

    Come on! It is Australia local order NOT a imported order from China and I did not get any notification regarding the delay.
    I have just called and found out that it was due to some technical issue…..Grrrr… why it has been three weeks and I have to find it out until I made the phone call???
    A very disappointing purchasing experience even though it is my first time to buy from this website and my first time to post this comment!

      Jumped on live chat, "Soul" tells me that they ran out of stock and should have refunded me.

      So… if I had not contacted them, or forgotten about the order, they would have just kept my money?

      10/10 reputable business.
