      Meh.
      Projector for those sizes.

      • projector sucks

        • Clearly, no idea.

        • I like to watch TV during daylight hours as well as at night.
I like to plonk TV on cabinet - wham, bam, installed.

        • +1

@Utopian: and whats the replacement cost of the bulb? specially if its for daily TV viewing and not just for movies, which means higher hours? what the cost of installing a projector properly vs mounting on a wall ? … nothing against a projector setup, in a cinema room situation it makes sense.. for an every day use scenario it doesn't ….

        • @scud70: At least you brought up debate, instead of writing off in one breath, or coward-negging.

I have no problem with any of those supposed concerns, and I'm tight. Maybe I value atmosphere & quality over everything else, I dunno.

          Lonnnng discussion.

  • What's the conditions on the ebay10 code?

        • ebay10 works storewide only on there website store not the ebay store
          see this post

          @RogueWolf:
Ah great, thanks. Tried to find a main post for sale but was unsuccessful (probably because I thought it was an eBay sale due to code).

  • The code works for other items too! :)

    • yep works store wide see this post ebay10 code expires 31dec

      • +1

Good for Boxing Day sales then. Better off waiting at this stage

  • With the code, if you're looking for a larger and much better samsung panel, try this model for ~$3600

    https://www.binglee.com.au/samsung-ua65js8000w-65-uhd-led-tv

Alternatively, just call up Bing Lee and offer them $3200. See if they'll budge =)

    • $1200 for an extra 5" is it really worth it??

      • nvm

      • 5" diagonally. So a fairly noticeable increase.

But yeah, for $1200, I'd rather put that towards a home theater system.

      • 5" diagonal, in this case representing 17% more surface area… plus the other benefits.

When posting specs on 4k tvs can people say whether they are HDMI 2.0 as well?

    • +1

2015 model are hdmi 2.0+, unless they rebadged 2014 models … so read the specs also!

  • -3

If you intend on playing games on this model, keep in mind that the refresh rate is only 100Hz, which apparently is sub-optimal for gaming.

My local JBHiFi have said that they can do the JU7000 for $2500, which has the following features the JS7200 doesn't:

    -200Hz
    -Twin tuners
    -Precision Black
-Ultra Clear Pro panel vs Ultra Clear (Whatever that means)
    -3D (Because that's still a thing, right?)

Anyway, both TV's look great in person and it's certainly a hard pick.

    • For console gaming it won't make any difference, console games generally run 30 or 60 fps.

    • *clarification: PC gaming. Your console is fine with 60Hz

    • Found that on Bing lee as well.
Can't buy online but I think they should give 10% if you ring them. It'll be $2339 after 10%.
You can try to see if JB will beat it.

    • JU7000 isn't a HDR ready set and seems the JS7200 is. It's almost impossible to find reviews on the JS7200 since it's not available in the US. But from reading around it seems like an awesome purchase.

keep in mind that the refresh rate is only 100Hz, which apparently is sub-optimal for gaming.

      Utter garbage.

100/120Hz and 200/240Hz TVs still only accept standard 50/60Hz input signals. They delay the output of the video signal so that a processing engine can analyse and essentially "invent" in-between frames. It's only useful for things like sports broadcasts. For games it is TERRIBLE as it adds significant input lag. Which is why when you put a TV in Game mode it runs at a stock standard 60Hz without any post processing or motion smoothing. (It also makes even less sense on consoles where most games actually target 30fps).

There are, however, true high frame rate PC monitors which accept higher input refresh rates (144Hz is common), or even lack traditional refresh rates at all using technologies like G-Sync. But very few TVs — generally from dodgy OEMs that can be pushed into accepting higher frame rates than they were designed to.

In Game Mode, the 7-series 4K Samsungs are actually one of the better performing 4K TVs — about 25-30ms of lag.

    • makes NO difference for gaming. So long as it's 60 Hz
What DOES make a difference is INPUT LAG.
Depends on the TV. So read reviews and specs.

  • Damn it i'm torn..!!

    JU7000 or the JS7200 !?

    • whatever is cheaper - true OZB spirit

      • Or the LG 60UF850T!

So much choice but I'm leaning towards the LG…

EDIT: Sold. Just bought it from The good guys at a price of $2345 (cheaper than bing lee!)

        • Out of curiosity, why did you go with the LG? Um, and the Big Lee price was $2160 for that TV… no?

        • @kudoz83:

Went the LG as the specs were amazing for the price compared to similar Samsungs. Good guys wouldn't price match bing lee where I was :( I thought $2399 was after discount… my bad

        • @bemybubble

Might be worth it to return it and order online?

        • @kudoz83:

Turns out I did alright anyway bing lee delivery would have killed the deal…

  • Staticice is stating binglee is selling it for $2495.00, which is the cheapest out of all the retailers.

Having this for $1979 is a good deal…. I wish I had the money! :(

    [EDIT]
Didn't see post already had the links, good deals for the Panasonics though..!

Did anyone spot the Panasonic 55" TH55cx700a?
    https://www.binglee.com.au/panasonic-th-55cx700a-55-uhd-3d-l…

Seems to be a good deal at a price point of sub-$1500 before the eBay10 promo code?

    • Yes I have the 60cx700a. It's a great TV for use with a HTPC that has HDMI 2.0 output

It can handle 4k60hz Full RGB. Upscaling and motion is only average.

      • What would you says is superior with motion and upscaling?

Buying 4K now is risky. 8K TV screens are just around the corner..

    • +6

Don't worry, Australia won't have the internet speed for 8k until at least 2050 ;)

      • +1

        Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos…

      • Australia barely has the speed for 4k to most households to be honest…

    • Saw that and was seriously considering until I read that the Optical Audio Out apparently won't work with Netflix…

      • That's a bit of a worry. Is that confirmed on their 2015 models?

  • Can you get the 65 inch JS8000 on there with the discount? I can't find it anywhere.
    https://www.binglee.com.au/samsung-ua65js8000w-65-uhd-led-tv

    • Yes comes to $3595 once ebay10 applied
Just to make sure your using the ebay10 code on the Bing lee website right? As ebay10 doesn't work on there ebay store..

      • +1

Thanks mate! You saved me $170 off the best price I had found.

        • $3200 today from TGG ebay store.

  • Oh no! Purchased 65uf850t on Monday for $3029 (after hard haggling from $3495) from the good guys. Now good guys is $2995 and Bing lee is $2699 (with ebay10). Think I can utilise the 30day price promise? Will they accept the coupon discount?

    • Can only try, say it's a ongoing discount code store wide with no usage limit, or just wait for a better deal in the next 30days towards Xmas something may come up

      • +1

Just got email from tgg for my claim. They have honoured it. So it works out cheaper even with the current eBay offer :)

  • What are every ones thoughts on the Sony 75"?

Buy SONY - KD65X8500C - 65" ULTRA HD LED SMART 3D WITH ANDROID TV instead of SONY - KD55X9000C - 55" BRAVIA UHD 3D LED TV.

Thanks, OP and @odd1out, got the Panasonic 55in 4K price-matched at JB-Hifi Home in Melbourne for $1350, then used gift voucher from my wife's employer benefit for an extra 7% off so paid around $1250 for the TV, awesome deal!

  • Called about the Sony KD65X8500C today - $600 shipping to Perth… wtf

  • Is anyone else having trouble with delivery (I ordered UA60JS7200W)? This morning my order was showing as being in Chullora NSW (I'm in SA) with an expected delivery date of 30th Nov. I lodged a query with Allied Express for a new delivery date but they closed my query because apparently the consignment number wasn't enough information, they also need the make, model and size to follow it up. They then changed the tracking so that it still shows as being in Chullora NSW with expected delivery of 30th Nov but when I try and raise a new query it claims that delivery has already been attempted and refuses to raise a new query. Bing Lee website has also now since been updated to show the order as completed (Bing Lee have advised they will respond to my query to them in 24-48hrs).

Did anyone else purchase and actually get delivery?

I'm starting to screenshot everything as I think mine is about to disappear.

    • Mine was delivered this morning. No status update between in NSW and on board for delivery.

Unfortunately things just get worse. The screen is smashed. Now need to go through the replacement process.

  • come back

Samsung UA60JS7200W for $1979, please come back

I was super occupied the weekend this deal was on. I normally check ozbargain several times daily.

Need this deal in combination with the Bing Lee sale again

  • I purchased a SONY KD65X8500C this morning only to receive an email in the late afternoon informing me that Bing Lee is out of stock of this item and has cancelled my order.. not happy :(

    • Try Harvey Norman they had it at the same price

      • I actually did visit HN but they had it at $2449 and refused to price match the $2249 that Bing Lee has after the ebay discount voucher.. fair enough I suppose

        • HN had a further 10% off all reduced tvs today see here would bring it to same as Bing lee, not sure if it's still on tomorrow, but worth checking

Sucks what bl done, blast them
