BYOjet means we need to bring your own JetPlan? cause you can't trust theirs ?

    • Wouldn't that be cool though? But, no, means 'Book Your Own', and unfortunately we don't own the planes!

    Tiger Airways flight $64.35
    Tiger Airways ticketing fee $8.50
    Tiger Airways flight $64.35
    Tiger Airways ticketing fee $8.50
    Admin fees $12.95

Is that a BYOjet admin fee? If so, this is a misleading OP. Really only a $7 discount… Ignore my comment if those admin fees are charged by tigerair.

      • you are right.
only booking and service fee of $8.50 is charged by tigerair

        • Unfortunately there's no way around ticketing fees, if you shop around it usually still ends up being cheaper than direct with the airline or other travel agents.

It really depends on the flight you want, it's still worth taking a look!

        • @BYOjet Travel:

Unfortunately there's no way around ticketing fees,

Then that is classified as component pricing if I cannot pay the advertised price.

@BYOjet Travel: Yes, it may still be worthwhile (if you don't have a debit mastercard, in which case you save more money by booking through Tiger directly) but the $12.95 admin fee is charged by BYOjet so really the discount is only $7. I think your OP should clarify this.

    • What if you book one-way directly with Tiger and one-way with BYOjet?

Edit: Just realised that the admin fee is the same for a one-way booking. Plus the $8.50 service charge = $21.50. So this deal is still costing $1.50 more than booking directly with Tiger…

FWIW you're best of using this offer to book any return trip in 2 x one way trips rather than a single return booking.

    Reason being that you'll get the $20 discount twice, rather than once. e.g return flight booked has 2 x $8.50 tiger fees + $12.95 BYO fee, less a single $20 credit - so $9.95 in fee costs. A one way has $8.50 + $12.95 less $20 credit = $1.45 actual fee costs, x 2 = $2.90.

So saves you around $7 for an extra 3 mins booking it. :-)

I mentioned it in the tiger deal yesterday, but suggested that it was not worthwhile.
Jetstar price match and tigerair with debit mastercard eat this deal.

    Travel at anytime?
For a family with 4 members, shall I book 8 times so each ticket gets $20 off?

    • Fly anytime on any Tigerair domestic flight!

Booking a one-way flight, the fees will be $8.50 Tiger booking fee, $12.95 BYOjet admin fee minus $20 saving = $1.45 in fees.

If you book directly through Tiger and pay with debit Mastercard, Tiger does not charge the 8.50 booking fee and you wont pay $12.95 admin fee, so fees are $0.

So if you have a debit Mastercard, book directly through Tiger and it will be cheaper. And as battler said, price beat with Jetstar and it will be even better.
