      It's a good spec for the price but from reading around the display is pretty poor even though it's 1080p. The trackpad isn't amazing either. There's an M.2 slot for SSD but I don't know if it is SATA or PCIE, I think it's probably SATA. You could always just replace the 1TB with an SSD. But overall probably a good machine for the money.

      i just rang canon au, she couldn't confirm if the cashback would be honoured.
      When you submit the claim they check the serial number.
      I can only assume it would link to ted's camera and be a legitimate purchase?

      Does anyone have any idea?

    I'm very curious if the 20% discount on offer is fully provided by eBay, or whether the retailer must provide some component.
    For example, maybe the 20 is comprised of 10 ebay, 10 retailer.
    I'm also curious whether eBay and PayPal offers the big retailers reduced commission fees or rebates?

    These eBay sales always end up in frustration!
    Prices rises, items suddenly out of stock or cheaper on the sellers own website making it hard to find a True 20% discount.
    But we keeping on digging through the garbage to find that one hidden gem :-)

    Was looking at buying a Bush Aurora digital radio from Bing Lee. Go a reply from them. "Unfortunately due to stock issue, this model is currently disabled via our eBay channel" Still listed but unavailable for purchase.

    Not happy. Now have to go looking elsewhere for a decent DAB+ radio. If anybody can recommend a decent one. If there is one somewhere in this sale or elsewhere.

      DS 1515+ is 938 on Mwaves website yet 1106 on ebay. Should be 20 percent on the 938 not 1106.

      You lose my sale even though it comes to 888 after the sale. ITS NOT 20 PERCENT OFF. Rather go elsewhere then pay for scammers. Should be $751!

    I'm trying to buy a Sodastream play from the Good Guys (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sodastream-1013211610-Play-White-…) but when I try to apply the coupon I get "This coupon isn't eligible to use on at least one item in your order". The product page states "SAVE A FURTHER 20% OFF (MAX $1000) USING CODE CXMASTECH" and the item comes up when using the sale search so I can't understand why it wouldn't be eligible. Any ideas?

      MSY has a Gainward GTX 960 for $259 and a turbo ASUS version for $275
      Amazon has the Zotac 960 for $254 shipped.

      Personally at that sort of money i'd be leaning towards the Radeon R9 380, it's a little faster and has a 256-bit memory bus.

        Is that including shipping? I'm don't have a local MSY and the cheapest 960 I can find on their website is $275, and it's $295 for the same ASUS one linked above.

        The ASUS one seemed to match up quite favourably against other 960s at Tom's Hardware

        Sorry about the Radeon but I'm firmly a member of team green, mostly because of the better Linux driver support.

      Depending on what you're editing, the R9 M265X is fine for 1080p but if you can, just hook it up to an external monitor and you'll be all goods. Might lack on performance but for that price point, it'd be alright for 1080p

          Both are pretty average units, but will do the job.
          If you're using GoPro Studio you'll be fine, just be a tad patient but with After Effects do yourself a favour and upgrade the Ram to at least 16gb :) and possibly an SSD in the future if you've got that budget.

          There's the possibility to make this laptop into a solid portable workhorse for video editing

      I agree, they've countered the 20% off bargain, although once making the purchase, I realised that eBay actually applies the discount as my Big W receipt shows the full price without the discount added. It's not until I check the paypal receipt that I see the discount.
