Hi Mate, we just recently bought the Fujitsu one for our place, my trusted aircon guy came around (he's installed aircon at our investment properties, very trusted) and told us to take it back and swap it for the Panasonic one. So basically we did exactly that!

Can't confirm why or whatever - but i trust his judgement… so we swapped them over.

      • +1

Yeah, ended up going for the Panasonic Total price $1479 and hopefully cash rewards works for an added bonus.

  • I'm looking for a dashcam. Be nice with reversing one as well, but looking for a good quality dashcam.
    Anyone have any recommendations?

    • +1

G1W-C or -CB. Best value for a decent dash cam but not on 20% off

  • anyone else getting
This redemption code has expired ?

    Trying Dick SMith Kindle Grrrr

  • +3

    All I want is a sub $300 S5!
Considering it is two generations old, it's not unreasonable, particularly considering the S3 I currently have was purchased only a generation old for well under the $300 mark only a few months after the S4 was released.

Come on retailers, you want us to spend our money with you and not overseas, drop the artificial deflation and entice us to buy Buy BUY BUUUUUUUUYYYYYYY.'
Come one Gerry, set an example mate, fair dinkum give us consumers a fair go mate! I challenge you to put up or shut up.

    • s5 is 360 from telstra.

ps- gerry doesn't care what you think

      • I'm sure Gerry would, if he's astute enough to value public relations.
Is that an outright unlocked price ?

      • Where on earth are telstra selling the S5 for $360??

  • +3

Teds prices are up $200 or $300 more than elsewhere in AU without discount. Really do your homework before you buy!

  • +1

Ted's had the RX100M4 for $1300 before the sale commenced, its now off the site and the RX100M3 has been jacked $200
    Slimy bastards!

    • They have the Canon 7d mkII for 2199, where most other local stores have it for the same price or more. So with 20% off, getting a good deal on that. (plus $200 cash back, and im going overseas so a further 10%!)

      • +1

Yes very good deal indeed. Even Ted is selling very close to RRP, it is a very good deal after all these discount.

        $2199 x 0.8 = 1759.2 (from eBay)

        $2199 x 3% = $65.97 (cashrewards credit)

        $200 (canon rebate)

$197.91 (GST return on full sale)

You end up paying $1295.32 ONLY. 10 mins left for this deal :)

        • Yeah i bought it on the weekend, couldnt pass it up! I also tacked on an 18-135mm lens for $599

          $599 x 0.8 = 479.20 (from ebay)

          $599 x 0.03 = 17.97 (from cash rewards)

          $200 (double christmas cashback)

$54.45 (gst return on full sale)

End up paying only $206 for the lens + 1295 for the camera = $1500 total for 7d with 18-55mm lens (usually $2500 for that kit, $1000 saving)

Pretty stoked really, hopefully it arrives before i head overseas this weekend!

    • Sony has refurb M3 back in stock, much cheaper but don't know how much of a risk the refurbs are

  • +1

Just like any sale you have to know your prices. Ive been watching fitbit charge hr from dicksmiths for a month. There price has been anywhere from $173-229. Luckily they went down to $145 for this sale plus the 20%off so I paid $116. There were bargains, just had to get in fast!

    • Yeah - Dickies definitely won the price battle there. Unfortunately all sold out from ebay so no $116 fitbits for me. Will still buy from good guys for a not quite as good bargain - down to $132.

  • +2

The top rated deal on Ozbargain, 570 positives but so many negative comments and no worthwhile deals?

  • Amazing :) 2015 kindles 300ppi are now $143 from Dick Smith! Saving of $35 (off the $179 price).

  • +1

The Philips at750 shaver doesn't work … From good guys and binglee

  • +1

    Sigh… I forgot cashrewards. Again.

    • I feel your pain. I did the same thing yesterday and realised right afterwards. Then I did it again today… damn

  • +6

To get the maximum discount, spend $25,000 in five separate $5000 transactions.

  • Teds has removed many items since sale started. A few nikon lenses I was looking at yesterday have been removed shortly after the sale started. Should have pulled the trigger faster :(

    • +1

Teds do this every sale. Its bull****. To actually get anything from them, you have to buy within the first hour.

    • +1

Keep checking, sometimes they put back 'out-of-stock' listing but with a very limited quantity.

    • +1

I was lucky. I grabbed a Pana 100-300mm telephoto for $560. Retail is still around $700 for most places (apart from grey import).

  • +1

Want to get an S6 for the wife for Christmas. Are there actually any good deals on them? It seems like most retailers don't have them listed.

    • +1

I'll bet the retailers will put them back on their listing after the promo ends…

  • Looking for a Large French Door fridge with this offer!

  • Pretty decent laptop. Good value I think.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Inspiron-17-5000-Laptop-1TB-…

  • Wish there is a button on this bargain site where I can block retailers with BS sales!

  • I had bought nikon d610 ex display from recent jb hifi deal. This one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/220264#comment-3234335 .
It would cost me $1000 after cashback. The product has not arrived yet.

But i would now like to order a brand new one from teds using the xmas ebay code which would come to ~1220 after cashback and discounts.

My question is .. Can jb hifi simply accept return of the d610 i ordered from them and refund the entire amount if i just open and check the ex display camera for shutter count ????

  • My item from bing lee was in the wrong category, emailed bing lee and they changed it! Yay I bought it with 20% discount + 3.5% discount shopandmint!!

    • What was the item?

      • Dyson Humidifier :D

Some of the retailers have been genuine with this sale. TheGoodGuys have some amazing offers on items I've been looking at purchasing. The Sony KD75X8500C TV is under $4k, yet selling for $5.7k at JB. The Samsung SRF719DLS fridge is $2.8k and I haven't seen it for under $3.5k before. At the cheaper end lets not forget the Inissia Nespresso or Nutri Ninja deals upvoted heavily here or the game consoles Target sold thousands of at $150+ off rrp. Yes there are some dodgy retailers but also some very good ones. Big + vote for me.

    • You make some good points.

The Sony KD75X8500C was a good deal with the triple dip (good guys special/ebay discount/cashrewards) and has now sold out.

Will be interesting to see when it is next at this price point

  • Does any one know if the 28 Degrees Card Shoppers Protection apply to purchases where only partial payment is on the credit card such as this sale?

    • The way credit card insurance and extended warranty works normally is as long as the full payment was made using the the credit card.

If ever needed, Just show them proof of the invoice with the breakdown in charges (Paypal invoice) you used a 20% sale coupon after coupon price the full price was charged to the cc. The charged after coupon should match the one on the cc statement.

    • Yes it does. In fact I just got my claim approved. I bought a Samsung tv from The Good Guys eBay store for $1145 x 20% = $916. The price recently dropped to $988. They approved a price reduction of ($1145 - 988) × 20% = $125.60.

  • -6

Nothing worth buying. All prices gone up. Waste of time.

  • Another TV - GoodGuys eBay - Group Deal, 500 units

  • Hi all,

Could anyone recommend me a TV from the above dealers? Looking at something between 1 - 2K for mum for chirstmas as her 15 year old LG just died. TIA

  • Thanks for posting this.. got the Dyson V6 motorhead… yee har

  • I just bought a TV from The Good Guys using the CXMASTECH code, and I payed with my PayPal account. The emailed PayPal receipt shows that the discount was applied, but my PayPal account shows that the full amount was charged. Is this normal?

    • +1

Yes. Even my paper receipt from the Good Guys shows the pre-discount amount with no mention of the discount.

I guess eBay are covering the difference…or some other creative accounting.

      • That's good to know. Hopefully I'll be able to see the deducted amount from my bank account before the TV is ready for pickup.

    • good to see i am not the only one, this just freaked me out big time, $200 difference, hope its all okay. I share an ebay account with partner though, it was being sent in my name but Im not sure what email address is on the account. I sent a request to cancel if they want it put through in a different paypal name.

      • It's normal. Click on the transaction and you will see the details of how much discount was applied and how much you applied by card.

  • Gear S2 from The Good Guys seems like a good deal.. $493 RRP - $394.40 after discount.

This is the cheapest I have seen this watch for from any retailer..

  • Disappointing that there are no surface tablets. It was going to be a great xmas gift.

  • +3

Avoid Mwave like the plague. They've jacked their Ebay store prices up by a mile in comparison to their website.

    • They even jacked up prices past the RRP!
E.g. Microsoft Surface Dock for Surface Pro 3/4/Surface Book for $353.94 from MWave (+$12 shipping)
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Surface-Dock-for-Surfac…

Same from Microsoft directly with free shipping for $299
      http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msaus/en_AU/pdp/Microsof…

      • They were on here the other day listing some 'bargains' on their website!!

    • +1

They should be avoided like the plague regardless of whether they jacked them up or not. Dodgy company.

      • I agree, Never buy from Mwave, Bad service, not worth my troubles again!

    • I ordered a pair of headphones that were $30 (before the 20%) below their websites prices and pccg/staticice prices.
Not sure if it was a price error or not (will wait and see)

  • +1

Wow I am super confused, I share an Ebay account with my partner, ordered a TV from TGG's and had some issues getting paypal to work, when it decided to load everything looked fine and showed discount, the full amount is showing on PAYPAL when i log in though and in EBAY.

My paypal receipt thats emailed shows I paid reduced amount. I then spotted in the terms that emails have to match on ebay and paypal? I will have to check if these do but they probably do not at a guess I wonder if this caused it, and what I am actually being charged?

    • +1

      same here
my paypal shows full amount charge although my ebay and my emails that come from paypal show discounted amount.

      • +5

Been mentioned many times before but again. How to view the transaction breakdown details in PayPal.

From the completed deals list in PayPal select anf open the item you want to see more details about.

Under the total select "See details on our Classic site"

On the Transaction Details page that opens up check the following entries.

Funding type: EG Redemption Code and Credit Card
Funding source: EG $xxx.xx AUD - 20% off selected tech at eBay #CXMASTECH

        • +6

          ^This.

There should be an FAQ as this question pops up EVERY deal.

        • Yes it is.
But it's not showing on my balance so I cannot use the money for shopping at this moment.
          That's the big problem.

  • Nikon D5500 camera kit with 18-55mm vrII lens not a bad deal at $709.15 delivered from Teds (after ebay code and nikon cashback). 3% cashrewards will bring it under $700.

  • Refurb rx100 m3 is back in stock at Sony. Around $616 I think, almost $200 less than Teds

  • Any good deals on hair clippers?

  • Wanted to post but couldn't because it's a Grays-Online deal….?!?!
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Slim-320GB-Con…

Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim 320GB Console $154.95 ($123.96 after CXMASTECH coupon), compared to Aldi deal it's cheaper and bigger capacity but refurb…

    • just take note that it's a refurb :)

  • eBay says that Ted's offers Click and Collect, but I'm getting delivery only and no click and collect option?

  • Any good RAM deals?

  • Bought a Samsung front loader washing machine.

    BUT THEN

    Impulsively bought a Sony RX100 Mark IV @ 8:58PM Perth time……
Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing considering I ordered the Panasonic GX8 on the weekend from Video Pro.

  • Watch the prices plummet!

  • One of these years, a 20% off from ebay might just coincide with a deal from Dell at the same time, on a the XPS 13. Dell want $2.5k for an i7 XPS 13. Ebay 20% off will only reduce it to $2000.

    Get stuffed.
