any chance for SD card deal?

    • +2

I second this. TA, SD card deal would be greatly appreciated, boss.

    • +3

After the dick smith camera sale, I need a SD card too~

    • +2

4th this. I prefer full sized sd cards for my cameras. Already have a dozen micro sd cards.

    • +1

But why not use an SD adapter? Cheap as hell and it works just fine.

      • +1

Prefer not to fiddle around with another thing to carry and potentially lose/damage when i can just use a normal size SD card. Ive had a few sandisk sd card adaptors that lose connection and you have to push the micro sd card in really tight to get it to work.

Tightarse micro sd deal= Instant upvote

    • +1

      Instant meh…..

  • +12

    Need 64gb version please !!!

  • Need 128gb version!
    Nevertheless fantastic deal. Thanks.

  • They come in full retail packaging and do not include an SD adapter

So then they're not in 'full retail packaging' then considering the Samsung website says that all their MicroSD cards come with the adaptor? http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/memory-storage/memory-car…

    • +1

You could be right the 5 I got last year from Msy @ $11 each all had sd adapters in retail pack.

      • Yep, exactly the same here. So they're not in full retail packaging.

        • +8

Not sure what you're suggesting Porthos, but if you've ever bought anything from PC Byte, you'll know their products are genuine and always exactly as described. They've been around a long time, and sold thousands of products through OzBargain without issue. They have no reason whatsoever to place their reputation in jeopardy. Here's the packaging from their eBay store without adapter…

        • +1

@tightarse: Nice edit there from your original reply.

Then why is it that Samsung only advertise it as including the SD adapt or, as well as the 2 I've purchased previously from MSY include it as well?

          Neg me all you want.

        • @Porthos: I'm not going to neg anyone. But you really should check your facts before making incorrect statements…

          See here & here.

        • -4

          @tightarse: Facts?

You mean the fact that it's clearly advertised on Samsung's website as

EVO 32 GB microSDHC Card with SD Adapter
          MB-MP32D

Same model number here, also lists:

          Accessories
          SD adpater

But sure, let's all just go off one of the pictures instead of the actual words advertising it on Samsung's own website, and then sell the version with the SD adaptor for more.

        • -1

@Porthos: There's no convincing you. Have a good night.

        • @tightarse: Sorry, let's just ignore everything that's written, and all the other photos on their website, for that one that doesn't have the SD adaptor and say that's proof, and everything else on their own website is just misinformation.

          Happy now?

        • +5

          @Porthos:

You need to check your facts

EVO 32 GB microSDHC Card without SD Adapter
          MB-MP32D

EVO 32 GB microSDHC Card with SD Adapter
          MB-MP32DA

PC Byte's website and eBay listing clearly shows the part number MB-MP32D in the specs.

        • @nocure:

You need to check your facts

Seems Samsung do as well then hey? http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/61450/35566/image.jpeg

        • @Porthos:
Yep..I saw that ..pretty poor proof reading from their IT dept.

        • @Tiggrrrrr:

The SAMSUNG site seems to make a clear distinction between which model has an adapter?

The Samsung US site does, the Samsung AU site doesn't. Considering we live in Australia and plenty of things have different model numbers than they do overseas, I'm going off what the Australian site says considering we're in Australia!

      • +4

All the stock I've purchased from shopping square didn't have adapters. Here's a photo http://imgur.com/pHi5Bia

        • Do you need to check your "FAT" too ?

        • @dlovep:
          Nope 32 all good.

        • +1

          @nocure: For $13.13, it's a deal for me.

    • +8

If you are going to post a link you should at least look at it. The 32 EVO includes a picture of a retail pack WITHOUT an adaptor.

    • Wow, someone has an axe to grind. I just like great deals and this seems like one of those :)

    • The last ones were authentic. I checked that myself. No need for any concerns.

  • Hope they have a lot of stock..

    • -1

Should've said, Hope they have a hole lot of stock or is the hole not big enough.

Waiting for this coupon code from TA…

    MERRY CHRISTMARSE

  • bought one. thanks TA!

  • Thanks !

  • +1

Still waiting for my 64gb card from the last order on the 2nd December. Argh..

  • +10

Why did I just buy this?

    • (Whilst it's not a bargain if you bought something you don't need,) you did what's anticipated and appreciated by the retailer, good job.
Your best way forward is to give it to someone who needs it. Merry Xmas.

  • Will this suffice to record in 4k on the GoPro Hero 4 Silver??

    • +1

You will want a UHS-I U3 card like Sandisk Extreme Pro.

    • Hey man
I went to office works and got the SANDISK Extreme (not the pro) for mine. Works fine for the Sony FDR x1000V so I'm guessing that it should be good for the go pro 4 silver as well.
If you check static ice you get the price match for about $55 which i did. Couldn't find any other deals elsewhere for that type of memory card.

    • Firstly if you are serious about recording 4K video, you should be doing it in Hero 4 Black. Not the stuttering 15fps 4K in Hero 4 Silver.

Secondly, I would choose at least a Sandisk Extreme (doesn't have to go all the way to Extreme Pro) or a Samsung Pro for reliable 4K 30fps video recording. Samsung EVO's lower sequential write speed may result in error file that some users have experienced.

  • +1

    Coupon code "arsevent"?!?

    asphinctersayswhat……..

    • what :)

  • Looking fo deal on sd card please

  • is the 32gig sandisk at 80mb/s for $3 more a better deal.

    • can you please provide a link to that ?

      • Probs the New Sandisk Ultra, it's still nowhere near as good as an Extreme/Pro class MicroSD. The Sandisk Ultra probs has higher read speeds than this though. Approximate write speeds is around 15MB/s for the Sandisk Ultra in an A7II.
With an Sandisk ExtremePro it's 30MB/s+

  • Is there any issue with using a higher performance microsd + adapter in a dslr?

    • I've been using microSD with an adapter in my EOS M3 for a few months now, I have had no issues.

    • Nope, only difference is usually the MicroSD card is a lot more expensive than a larger fullsized SD card (if you want the same speed that is)

  • Great, just grabbed one, hopefully will be here in melbourne before i travel overseas next tuesday morning as i really need this for my gopro! Please Francesca, make it happen :)

    • +1

Second this, overseas next Wednesday. Would love delivery by then :-)

  • +5

    Ooh exactly half the price of the 64GB eh…. so…… $52.52 ($26.26 * 2) for the 128GB model then?

  • Thanks TA! Needed a new microSD card.

  • That'll do as a minute stocking filler.

    • Baby stocking?

  • Need 512gb version! Nevertheless good price but I am not sure I have a use for a micro-sd card.

    • SSD mate.

  • +1

arsevents are a little bit farty

  • Cheers mate.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one.

  • Cheaper here on eBay for $12.99 if you are willing to wait.

    • Yeah always cheaper if from HK or China.

  • Just bought and received this sandisk ultra 64Gb 80MBs from their eBay store $32.95 with adapter seems is a good deal at that speed. If you have this a few days ago I may buy this instead.

    23c difference. Support Australian business.

  • +1

TA now we need deal for camera bag …. lol..

  • How on earth do you apply the code? I can't see a field for it anywhere?

    • +2

On the right hand side before you pay, also you need an account.

      • No account needed, I checked out as guest using the coupon.

    • Instead of checkout click the shopping cart and then you paste the coupon on the box at the right.
If you go checkout first you miss it

  • Silly question alert: this will go alright in my Samsung Note 4 yeah?

    • +1

If it can take micro sd check spec.

    • +3

Yep. Samsung EVO is great for smartphones and tablets. It has decent sequential write speed as well as good 4kb random write speed.

  • Is this any good for a gopro hero4 session? Specs look like they match up but the comment above saying it needs a U3 card has thrown me off, or should I be looking at a 64GB instead

    • +1

I'm not sure about session but I have the same EVO 32GB SD card in my GoPro Hero 4 Silver. It should be good to use

      • Thanks I'll grab one

  • +1

This is a great price, I grabbed another (unsure how many I have now)

But please, a deal on dashcams! I need 4 - still kicking myself I never got the $49.99 eBay deal earlier this year.

    • +1

Just get one from gearbest. Very happy with mine

      • What would you suggest mate? And can you post a video of how it looks post install? I don't like the cables all over the place. Cheers!

      • maybe he wants one before easter?

        • Easter 2018?

        • Lol, yeah little wary about buying from Gearbest for that reason. (and returns aren't fun either I hear)

Just don't see what an aussie vendor can't do a dashcam deal. Almost every deal on OzB was originally imported from somewhere, why not dashcams too? If the profit margin is bad, can't be worse than the million MicroSD's we all buy.

Who knows, just hoping for a deal. Probably quicker at this rate to just buy from Gearbest… lol.

        • @Porthos: Easter 2081.

    • I bought three of the blueskysea dashcam from the $49.99 eBay sale. 1 had a dot scratch on the lens and the seller agreed to refund me $20aud instead of getting a replacement. Never got the refund and after much messaging, I cannot get a response from the seller ever since the "Return this item" feature disappeared. 1 x went caput and I have tried contacting the seller so many times to get warranty without any luck.

So annoyed that when the "Return" this item feature disappeared, the seller stopped responding to any messages!
