  • Thanks wondrous pickle, very good price indeed.

    $256.66 after CR

  • cool thanks purchased

  • Love this chair need a second one thanks

    • +3

It's really high quality, but I hate this chair.

      • Could you please provide reasons why you hate this chair? It would help me a great deal.

        • I just can't get the posture right to sit straight for long periods of time. I think because lower back sticks out too much. The build quality is the best chair I have ever bought though!

      • I'm sitting in one now and tend to agree. It's taken me a long time (a few months) of tweaking it to get comfortable in it, but I still prefer a firmer seat.

        Definitely office quality though.

  • El buro.

  • Sitting on one right now. It's fantastic for the price. Go for it!

  • Best bang for buck ergonomic chair!

  • Using one at the moment; great chair.

  • Me, too! Lover my Buro Metro :)

  • I have one. My ass has never felt so comfortable.

      Why not upvote the deal?

      • +2

        I got it for $250.

  • -4

im not going to pay 300 for a chair

    • +2

For that price, id expect an engine, transmission, steering, 4 heels, brakes, chassis and two doors

    • -6

don't neg me, i know you guys cant afford one too

    • I bought a stealcase leap chair which is quite a bit more expensive, worth it if you sit in it a lot.

    • Thanks for letting us know.

    • Rehash from my post

When I first saw this chair, I thought to myself who would spend 300+ on a chair!
The 4 chairs I bought previously from OW (around $100 each) only lasted a couple of years then it starts to break and become uncomfortable.
There is also a whirlpool discussion page with really good reviews for the price you pay.

      My own review:
Money well spent. It's very comfortable and my ass/ back and wallet is praising me right now :)

So do yourself a favour and check out the chair at OW, otherwise you might grow up to be a sad man :P

      • +1

Yeah, cheap office chairs are a definite false economy. The $100 OW chairs a total pieces of shit.

  • +1

    Built quality: very good
    Comfortable: not quite pleasure.

I find that the racing chair in officeworks is quite good for me, but don't know about the quality

    • The quality of the racing chair is awful. The fabric on it rips easily, it is comfortable for gaming but not for working, as the back is not adjustable and so in a permanent "lounge" mode.

      • It's absolute rubbish. This chair is amazing.

  • I'm sitting on this now, its so comfortable.

  • I have one too because of you guys. really good quality sometimes you just forget how long you are sitting on this chair..

  • +3

I have a 30% off single use coupon for OfficeMax which expires next month. That would bring the chair down to $203. First person to message me can have it.

CODE GIVEN TO FIRST MESSAGER SORRY!

    • May I have the code? Thanks

  • How big is the box that the chair comes in? Will I be able to fit it in the boot of a sedan?

    • Yes - well, provided you have an average aussie size sedan eg Falcon, Commodore etc. Or use back seats.

      • Thanks!

        • It is a humongous box so I'd be worried about it fitting in the boot, but if you can put down the back seats you may be able ot.

  • +1

I bought this from Officemax in the last deal. The mesh backing seemed a little loose when I got it but I thought maybe that was the design. After 2-3 weeks of use my back started hitting the hard plastic. Going through the return process now.

    • made from the stuff trampolines are made from
i just got back from officeworks drove 1 hour to get home to find there were no screws in the box ..

  • I got one, very comfortable. A bit squeaky though.

  • +1

how does it compare to Aeron?

  • +3

Only 150kg Usage Capacity..? Damn…when are they gonna build a chair strong enough for a real man !!

    • +1

I have paid big money for a chair that is supposed to be safe for over 200kgs and so has my brother. Neither of them lasted much past warranty. I think it's just a design fact that big fat bastards (self description) are not meant to sit in these types of chairs. There are so many points of weakness in the design.

      • +2

A chair for each cheek does the trick.

    • +2

Just get two chairs and take the arms off.

      One for each cheek.

      • Ha fat jokes… never heard one before…

  • Bought the Herman Miller SAYL from a previous OzB deal. This Buro was always in the mix. If we couldn't afford the SAYL, this would've been the fallback, so to speak.

  • +1

Anybody tried the Buro Persona model that's on for $299 at Staples currently?

    • +2

Thanks for this post just bought one, and found a coupon for $10 off
      coupon was TEN65OFF im sure

yeh it was but i found out if u put in a coupon and try others they dont go in
      u can save $20 using 20OFF80

      • Oh no worries. Thanks for the codes I was still thinking about it too.

        • as far as it looks its pretty much the same chair as in it uses the same mechanism but without hte trampoline material back

  • Sitting in one right now. Damn comfortable. Well worth it. ;)

    • Upvote denied?

  • Out of stock for me.

  • I bought one of these last night using Click & Collect while it was showing in stock at several of my local OW stores, and eBay said it will not be available until next Thursday.

Does anyone know if that is just the standard C&C processing time for something in stock with OW?

  • Out of stock :(

  • +3

For those still wanting one OfficeMax have them for $292. You can get 10% off with SUBSCRIBE10 bringing it down to $262.80. Free delivery too!

    • Wow thanks.
Do you know if these guys also offer a 10 year warranty on the product as I couldn't find it on the page?
I actually went into an OW store to try sitting on one and while it's comfortable I'm worried the cushion might deteriorate over time. The OW guys said that if the cushion turns into a brick over time then they'll replace it under warranty so just wondering if OfficeMax would do the same.

OfficeMax don't pick up the phone over weekends so couldn't find out :(

      • Confirmed. They will honor the 10 year warranty as well :)

  • I would guess yes seeing as though its guaranteed by Buro. Doesn't say anywhere on the OfficeMax site though so can't be 100% sure.

    • That's okay thank you.
I will call on Monday and check with them before purchase.

      Cheers!

  • OW still have them in stores. I went in and told them about the ebay deal and they matched the price anyway.

    • I went in and asked for the same thing and they didn't match it for me. Said that the 10% off eBay thing doesn't count.
      - Alexandria NSW branch :(

    • No luck, tried at the Campbellfield store and they said the same thing. Rang their support line to clear it up and apparently they won't honor it due to the offer coming from eBay and not themselves…. even if they sold the units at that price previously….can't make any sense out of that. Seems like you're one of the lucky ones

      • In case you're still interested you can go to OfficeMax courtesy of strid85 above.
I called them and clarified the warranty - they will honor the 10 year warranty as well.

  • Thanks for checking coldazure. I'll post the deal for visibility.
