Free shipping is not showing up for me at checkout..ETA - it comes up on the Payment screen, not the Delivery screen. So it works.

  • Anyone receive their confirmation email? I ordered ~3-4 hours ago, and still no.

    • I received after 3 hours. You will.

    • My two orders took 2 to 4 hours to come through.

Here's a great tip for you, order from the NZ store(items are priced the same typically as the AUD price).

Then select a AU shipping address and pay with the cheaper NZD(saving a few percent depending on your credit card fees).

  • Good deal, but won't touch them… I don't want to help fund the Ashley empire.

I'm sure people can judge by the pictures alone but just in case - their designer underwear, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Diesel, are all fake. They look fake too so don't think you will fool the ladies just because they don't wear that style of underwear.

    • not sure how a huge retail outlet could get away with that, are you sure or talking out your ass? They might be licensed to produce cheaper SKU's to sell

      • +3

        Well I'm not a professional or even budding amateur fake detective, and I've also slept poorly for the past month or so, so take my advice with a grain of salt but;

I can tell you that in particular with Calvin Klein - they are a little like Apple in that their products mostly do not go below a certain price point so as not to devalue the 'status' associated with the brand. That's not to say retailers like Myer won't have clearance sales where you can get great prices on their brand, or that Costco doesn't sell their underwear at a great price (because of whatever arrangements they have with suppliers) but you are simply not going to get legit CK underwear at $9 per pair, they don't market at that price point and they don't make the styles that sportsdirect are selling here. Unfortunately this has started to vary in recent years as in response to the market for the cheaper stuff, CK have released or authorized wholesale SKU's which makes it harder to spot the real from the fake but it's one rule of thumb you can use. Besides I have bought fake CK underwear on ebay before and it looks exactly like what Sportsdirect have - the name on the waistband just looks poor, I can't easily describe it but the size and spacing of the font is a joke (1. below) and exactly what you would expect from someone just taking the name and slapping it on there and not attempting to closely mimic the look of the offical product. Ok none of this really gives you a clear cut non-subjective answer as to why these are fake but that's the best I can do to try describe it. A LOT of the results on a google image search for CK underwear are the fake stuff due to the prevalence of fakes across the internet and at pop up table stalls at shopping malls. I do not have an answer as to how a store as big as sportsdirect gets away with it, or the pop up table stalls at shopping malls, or the ebay fakes.

If you want CK or Diesel branded underwear at the best non-sale price in Australia, get a friend to take you to Costco and you can get it there most of the year from when I last checked. However your are limited to only a couple of styles to choose from, you will not find the latest 2015 range there.

For further, less rushed and ranty, information

http://www.ebay.com.au/gds/How-to-spot-fake-Calvin-Klein-Und… Particuarly the packaging section is relevant to the example pair I posted below which shows the box these come in.
$2.89 Fake Calvin Klein Boxer Shorts From Aliexpress https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPKiF-8EutA <— same style as seen on sports direct
        http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=468857

        1. Example of how the name is on the waistband on fakes. Mouseover for fine detail view http://au.sportsdirect.com/calvin-klein-365-2-pack-boxers-me… Start with the Black/Black colour option. They just looks low quality. Notice that the dot on the i appears to be a circle on the black pair and a square on the white pair. CK naming style does not vary across colours like that. I could pick out just about any individual letter as an example but try the n and the v on the black pair - the font will not be that jagged on a real pair. Now switch to the White/White colours and look at the straight edge on the left side of the C, they don't do that - they use a round C like you'd expect. This isn't even one of the cheap fake ones, $35 for 2 pairs.

        2. Example of product lines that don't exist such as 'concpt' http://au.sportsdirect.com/calvin-klein-concpt-mens-hip-brie… <— another trick the fakes use is they'll slap another word after Calvin Klein. in this case it is 'concpt' whatever the hell that is supposed to be. Google "calvin klein concpt" and you'll only find sports direct and a bunch of dodgy looking sites from Czechoslovakia and Hungary that list that product - because it's not legit.

  • Thanks OP, my son wears US size 15 shoes, and I can never find a decent pair under $150 for him, I just got him 3 pairs for $100, and didnt have to pay $50 to get them shipped from the US. Very happy!

  • And this is like everyday in America! Just imagine how happier we have been if we were in the states! :-)

no problems here. Mine have been shipped :)

  • Spotted this about an hour before expiry. Diesel trainers for 25.99 GBP free shipping, I don't believe the $230 RRP though. Today they have a flash sale with the same shoes for 20 GBP however with 17 shipping so still a good deal. They are waiting for courier pick up

  • My items have been collected by DHL Express Shipments

Looks like it will cost them more to ship them to Australia than the items themselves

  • Conflicted. Kinda worried and at the same time maybe silently happy they will cancel my order (as I will save money on stuff I don't really need), after reading some posts. But just got an email that they have just processed my order.

  • I ended up doing 3 seperate orders throughout the day, my last order has been processed but my earlier orders are still processing…anyone else have orders still processing? Not to mention orders that I did last week where I paid for shipping have been awaiting courier pick up for 5 days now

    • Same here, last 2 orders have been processed but not the earlier orders. Awaiting courier pick up seems to be the final update from Sportsdirect, you then have to click on track you order to get further updates from the shipping company.

      • Same here I ordered 3 X separate orders throughout the day & only my last final order is showing "processing" the other 2 are stagnant :'(

        • One more of mine has just been processed, so hopefully just a major backlog, not sure how they will meet the express delivery timeframe if orders havent even been packed yet..

        • @sinrap:
Ok well they just cancelled part of one of my orders due to "no longer in stock" grrrr they were a pair of kids skate shoes & the only part of the order I really wanted!!
The other 2 orders which just have clothes in them are ready to dispatch now though… Will be interested if we get them before Xmas…

      • Ok thanks for that

    • Sometimes their system is not that automated. If you are concerned about orders placed a while and still awaiting courier pickup, just send them an email, and they will provide you the tracking details. That is what I recalled I had to do the last time (months ago), thanks to the tip of another Ozbargainer.

  • Mine says: Ready To Ship

    is this normal ?

  • Anyone received their shipment ?

    • received 2 sms notification from DHL at 7am that they will be delivered on Monday

      • So DHL are actually going to deliver directly?……They usually like to fob stuff off to auspost…..

      • The status of my order is still showing "Ready To Ship"

        Is yours the same ?

        • Mine is already in transit

        • You can track you order from the orders history page once the order status changes from "Ready To Ship" to "Awaiting Courier Pick Up".

        • @adr8:

That's the problem, mine been "Ready To Ship" for a good 3-4 days now.

        • @CoolMJ:
You could try "Contact us" then select "Where is my order" when I tried this with past orders it sends you an automated email with tracking details.

      • Same, received an SMS for 2 of my orders which are scheduled to be delivered on Monday. Also received an email for 1 order which has just cleared customs

  • My item is now at Customs, but tracking info has this:

    Further Detail:
A clearance other than standard Customs entry is required for this shipment.

    Next Step:
Further processing will occur as instructed by the regulatory authority. A >DHL representative shall attempt to contact the importer or shipper if >further information is required**

Non-standard customs? Is this a bit strange for one piece of clothing? I have had bags of them from sportsdirect before - during the $1 sale some time back. But it was not express shipping by DHL, so tracking info was different.

Anyone encountered this before, or thoughts on why that is?

    • Mine says the same thing, I didn't read the whole email thought it had already cleared customs as the top of the email states "clearance event"

      • Within the day, it has gone to:

        Further Detail:
Shipment has been given a release by Customs.

        Next Step:
Unless there is an adhoc exam or a stop by another regulatory
authority the shipment will proceed to delivery

So obviously procedural. Was concerned it might be held up for a while :-)

Got SMS message from DHL that it will be delivered wed. Which would make it about 9 days from the day i ordered. Previous time only took 7 days and it wasnt express delivery lol.

    • DHL ended up delivering 2 days earlier than expected. Nice of them. So it took 7 days for me.

  • +2

Delivered today on a Sunday, that was really good.

    • +1

Same here just received my order too.

      • +1

I received one today too, another is due on tuesday and my final order has been processed but not even picked up by courier yet…

    • My order is not picked up yet. I have the tracking but DHL's website is showing information received.

    • Nice

  • Hmm well DHL Express is a joke.
One delivery still awaiting pick up UK.
Another is "on hold" at Melbourne Depot
Third delivery due today, the DHL driver drove past my driveway didn't stop didn't get out of van nothing did a u-turn in my court then Drove off, within 5 mins I got a "unable to deliver" text message…. Oh it was comical actually …

Glad to hear some of you have your parcels…

    • Same here, mine is still awaiting pickup. Information received 15/12 and nothing after that.

    • Feels like how mine went, exception being the parcel forwarded to couriers please….. rang DHL to say I was outside receiving auspost deliveries at the same time and no card was left….. at least being carded is the lesser of evils compared with them not bothering at all…..

    • Mine still haven't even had attempted delivery - one is scheduled for today (the 22nd) and one is scheduled for the 24th. The one scheduled for delivery today has an item in it that I need for Xmas day as a present, so I will be super annoyed if they don't attempt delivery. It is a business address so they had better not think they can get away with that (our reception is staffed all day…)

  • Received 1 more of my free express parcels today with another one still outstanding, but I ordered a kids tracksuit and the pants are a Different size to jacket obviously been swapped. I sent an email asking for regund or correct size pants..anyone had any experiences with probkems with them do they easily refund or even attempt to fix problem?

    • +1

I just got a refund because they sent me the wrong sized cap.

      • Yep, they refunded me the cost of the tracksuit which was $10.

  • +1

Express shipping is a joke, waited 2 weeks and still nothing. They said it might be another week or so until it will be delivered as "I wasn't home" for the initial delivery. The day the card was left I wasn't working nor did I go out…

So without consulting me they placed it at a drop off point 2 suburbs away from me when there's one 2 minutes (walk) away from my house - where is the common sense with these people.
