What the difference between Panasonic and Sanyo quick chargers?

    • That's what i want to ask. Which one should i get?

      • same, is the panasonic just the sanyo rebranded?

looks like the sanyo version isn't widely available for click & collect

        • Sanyo will be old stock from before Panasonic took over Eneloop, so stock limited and won't be replaced.

Main difference I know of between the Sanyo and the BQ-CC16 is that the BQ-CC16 handles charging of 1 or 2 batteries better - you can place them in any position in the charger. With the Sanyo, they have to be placed in the left and right outer positions first (from memory).

          @spockter:
Anywhere but if you want 1 amp charge rate, outer two slots only.

Main difference will be the batteries supplied. Sanyo is better than the Aus delivered Panas. Japanese made v Chinese. Tests have shown the Japanese made loops to out perform the Chinese, last longer, more charges, capable of more amps. Japanese Panas are as good, or slightly better than the Sanyos, but not the Chinese Panas that we get now in Aus.

  • was looking for some eneloops today at DS… no stock available. :(

  • legend been looking for a charger for a long time, now I can get the smart one for the price i was expecting for the overnight non smart one

  • How good is Panasonic BQ-CC16 charger??

    • From http://lygte-info.dk/review/Review%20Charger%20Panasonic%20B…

The charger is very good at filling the eneloop batteries. The two hour top off charge helps filling batteries if the charge terminates slightly early. No trickle charge is an advantage for LSD cells.
I would have preferred a lower charge current for more time, instead of the high current pulses, the pulses may give problems with some old cells.

I believe this is a good NiMH charger.

      • Looks like it.
I currently have 2 orders for sale items hanging with DSE after paying for them. Both were click and collect but when I contacted the store they said they didn't receive the order and have none of the sale items in stock. Sales manager told me they have been having problems with the online system across the country since the w/end - orders being taken despite no stock being available.

    • Sale was advertised only for yesterday 22/12 but prices were still reduced well after midnight. DS removed those pages this morning but no doubt they will be reinstated albeit with original prices.

  • Damm, how did I miss this special?

I didn't see it on the main Ozbargain thread on the mobile last night or this morning. What gives?

    • I noticed the reduced prices around 9pm last night so it was posted late.

      • I think I checked Ozbargain after that, but I can't be sure now.

  • hi: i saw aldi is selling rechargeable batteries, they are 4pcs for 6 dollars from memory, how are they compare to eneloops ?
