  • Ebay deals usually go live around 10am, so here we go… hopefully any time now.

    • In an hour? That's too long to wait! Arrrghhh I'm going crazy.

  • +1

Almost 400 updoots and it's not even confirmed yet :P

  • party time! hope it doesn't end in tears

  • Need a new gas stove.
    Any discount helps……
15% is good, 20% even better.

  • It seems no happening!

    • Usually 10am. Only 9:17. Sit tight.

  • Damn it, just spent near a grand a few days ago.

  • Perfect timing Op. I'm glad I didn't purchase the dishwasher yesterday from TGG. Their eBay store prices are much cheaper with 19% off.

  • +1

Well target just removed (9:20) the Xbox one Lego bundle from the eBay store, there goes my plan.

    • holy….

    • +6

PS4 is gone too, which is a bummer. But on the positive, I guess that guarantees that there is a sale!!1

    • sigh! /:

    • added target 500gb ps4 for $368 in the cart this morning to see what is going to happen. I am not surprised at all to see the cart is empty now … At least they did this before the deal so it wont hurt you too much …

    • +1

Because you can usually "buy it now", and not actually finish the checkout process til later, where you enter the code…

This won't work if the seller has ticked the "buyer must complete checkout with Paypal / Pay immediately" thing.

  • -1

    Is this for real?

  • Wonder if I will be able to find a Sony A7 or A7ii body :)

  • This is what it must feel like to not be able to get it up. You get extremely excited but no dice

  • +6

I used the code "TO BE CONFIRMED" and it wasn't recognised by eBay. Am I doing it wrong?

    • +1

Not sure if you're being serious or sarcastic.

      • +1

        u took the bait ;)

    • Yes you are. There are 3 codes "TO" | "BE" | "CONFIRMED". Choose one, not use all 3 together :)

  • +3

NO Apple TV on Target, Officeworks, TGG or DSE. Pretty much confirms it's happening.

    • Are Apple TVs usually available on those retailers eBay stores?

      • +1

Pretty sure they were a few weeks ago.

    • +1

Why would they remove them? They won't be funding this deal at all since it's sitewide. Guaranteed that this one's being funded entirely by eBay themselves.

They'll just lose out sales to the other sellers with AppleTVs for sale.

  • Any good xiaomi yi deals?

  • -8

No deal, all hearsay has this site sunk to a new low… Until confirmed it should be in the forum section.

      • -2

Ah yes it's supposed to be Tasbargain not ozbargain.

They expect to have all the benefits of those who pay the taxes that keep them alive

        • Are you from Queensland or Western Australia ?

      • Sketchy black van? Weird stalking of my history? What are you going to do next, offer me some candy?

    • And the owner of Gumtree has joined the discussion.

      • You mean ebay?

  • 15 mins to go!

  • +3

Put two Nikon lenses on my watch list from GoodGuys around 3am this morning, and they have now increased the price on both.

The 18-140 has gone from $429 to $469 and the Nikon 55-300 has gone from $295 to $350.

    • as many of them do always!! BUT that indicates the deal is REAL?

    • ~ 9% rise

    • -1

Do you have screen captures of this?

      • +1

Yes, I can do provide this as I have my watch list open in a separate browser so I could check if prices increased (which I thought they would).

    • Seems The Good Guys as becoming The Bad Guys. Shame on them stealing our savings.

    • The Nikon 18-140mm is back down to $429 and the Nikon 55-300mm down to $299

      • That's good to see. I wasn't buying from them, just had them on my watchlist. I did however buy the 18-140 from NO-FRILLS (RYDA) for $394 before discount and cash rewards.

  • 10 mins to the truth!

  • -1

Why are people so confident that Cash Rewards will work with this promo? The T&C's state that "using any type of voucher or eBay credit may result in your purchase being ineligible to earn rewards", as well as "If you use a coupon code that is not listed on this site, rewards may not be payable"

    • +1

Typically rewards have been paid out during these deals. We can ask TA for confirmation.

    • +5

Whenever these promos have run in the past, we've added the offer to our site with the coupon clearly shown. If this promo goes ahead, the same will be done again, and rewards will be paid when shopping at eBay via CR.

      • -1

        Thanks TA!

      • So do we have to wait for your site or can we just shop straight away?

        • The offer will be live on our site at 11am. All good to go then :)

        • @tightarse:

          Thanks!

  • Guys take a deep breath

  • To be or not to be?…that is the question!

  • +1

It's 10am, now what do we do?

    • Keep spamming f5

    • keeping F5…

    • we wait

    • Actually it's 9.59am

    • +1

      Wait for midday?

    • +1

get yourself a cup of coffee.

  • +3

    10:01 est

    • +2

      no deal ??

    • You are Correct, my darn time is out by 1 Minute :) Fix it now

  • 10:02 est

  • -3

Someone from eBay told me, if we don't reach the up votes to 800 by midday, they will cancel the deal ;P

  • +1

    Aaaaand GO!……….. Aaaaand GO!……….. Aaaaand GO!………..

    Damn it!

  • +1

……..but please sit tight till midday

  • RECOMMMEND ME A GOOD PHONE THAT WAS ALREADY CHEAP?

    • What is your budget? Mobileciti has got Aus stock P8 and P8lite, lg g4 is going to be popular again ~$480

      • I should have specified that I want Korean, Japanese or American branded phones? Even HTC.

I've looked at Huawei, Xiaomi and other Chinese brands, but I jus tdon't like them… :/

        • Sorry, won't be of much help then. I've been tunneling on the LG G4 since I missed those $450 deals a month or so ago. LG is korean though…

        • @1Cawk:

Oh yes regarding LG, thanks :)

Oh well, I will look into the G4 as well. What colour are you looking at?

        • @inose:

Looking at the "metallic gold" one found here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131523803807

Mainly because I don't think I'll like the leather back ones, and some cases say "not suitable for leather back"

        • @1Cawk: I've been looking at the G4 as well, but QD are grey imports right?

I'm going to put cyanogenmod on it anyway I think, I've read that that the LG UI is pretty clunky.

Worth waiting until another deal to get it around 430-450? That's lowest G4 ever right?

        • @G Wok:

Yep QD are grey imports. Yeah I'm going to root it too since I find the UI of most phones quite annoying.

I don't think they will go down to that price again, or maybe I'm just a bit jumpy since I've been waiting for a while now (and need a new phone).

You could also look at the P8 if you don't mind nano sim with a screen a bit smaller from mobileciti with 2 year Aus warranty

        • @1Cawk:

Yep I missed the P8 dick Smith deal from before, but felt less bad when I couldn't find much custom ROM support for it.

Ideally I would prefer something a bit smaller, I've been looking for an upgrade to my galaxy S4 for a while. What I really want doesn't exist right now, a nexus 6P that's 5" with a microSD. Times like this it's easier to be an apple user with limited options lol

Xperia Z5 looks good but is expensive and has heating issues. Nexus 5X is only 32gb non expandable.

        • @1Cawk:

Did you snap one up? Enjoy!

I'm going to hold off and do some more research.

Also slightly uncomfortable about getting non AU phone, it's probably safer to keep a phone make sure it's not a lemon then root it.

  • +1

There was no need for a countdown guys…. ebay deals usually start in the morning, but there has been cases of it going active in the midnight, afternoon, etc, so there's not really a need for a countdown, especially for an unconfirmed deal.

  • What should I buy..?

    • +2

      Nothing yet

    • +1

buy us all a round of drinks to start with!

    • eneloops. Stock up while you can

  • +14

Please sit tight till noon. See my post.

(admitingly wiping the sweat off my forehead now)

Just have your cart ready and hang in there…

    • thanks op, anyway.

    • +16

Just want to let you know that even if this does not happen (though I'm sure it will judging from the amount of stores taking away stock), we all appreciate the amount of effort you put in to research and post ebay deals ASAP (a lot of the times even before it appears on ebay's website), allowing us to be the first to reap the rewards and saving us heaps.

      • Hear! Hear!

  • +5

    STAY ON TARGET!

    STAY ON TARGET!

  • +2
  • my foot is ready for an upvote if this deal doesnt go ahead lol

  • The eBay homepage has changed at exactly 10am and the deal is not there. Hopefully by midday, as the OP said…

    • Best to check in every 30 minutes and be ready. I loaded my cart with some items at limited qty…

  • Trying to find a well priced Canon 24-105 f4 L but even with 15% doesn't bring it down as good as previous deals from dwi and camera paradise

  • It was a eBay bait to catch the OP
