  • thats a crazy deal!

    • Cash rewards 4%

    (424 - 15%) -4% = 346
    Then $100 cashback = $246 + $8 shipping

    • +1

      Total = $254 (LEss than many great Panasonic DMC compact cam's;
      of course, No GPS…)

Then, face a life (of your ownership of the camera)
of buying accessories (lenses, better flash systems, etc.)

      just sayin' … ;-)

PS Can't LOGIN to my (new) MyNikonLife account to secure
the $100 CashBack if we buy one of these…?!?

    • I can't get this camera model to come up on Good Guys eBay page when going through Cash Rewards. Did anybody manage to?

  • No option to click and collect which was there earlier before it went out of stock. But still crazy price.

  • out of stock :(

  • +1

    Hi Guys,

To apply for Nikon cashback what to put in store location as this is online purchase?

    • +2

You should recieve a 'processing order' email from the good guys.
It has the store location there.

      • Anyone got the processing email yet?

  • back in stock

  • Christ thats a good price. Still glad I bought mine on the 24th, was able to use it yesterday to get some really good shots of a derelict paper mill. Even at dusk with no flash it produces some nice photos. Certainly beats a cell phone camera

  • someone from the good guys is playing around. Taking the items of ebay then put it back

  • Out of stock again!!

    • +1

      back again! the removed C&C

    • Called up and asked, there's an "other" option when they ask which retailer you got it for and you choose "other" again when they ask for store location

  • Grabbed one earlier for a family member who has recently been expressing interest in landscape and car photography. Even $370 is a great price, never mind $270.

  • thanks .got one also added jbl flip 3 from dicksmith for around 81 after cash back {99$)

  • +7

Better than deals posted during last week.

Awesome deal. But if you had an Amex, the deal I posted the other day came down to $249.

    • Thanks again for that deal!

  • +2

This is an excellent deal considering Dicksmith were clearing the D3200 at $249 after cashback. For roughly an extra $10 you can get the better model. I ended up purchasing a NEX-5R… not sure if I should sell the NEX5R and purchase this. Anyone recommend this over the NEX5r?

    • +1

But with the dick smith one you got the extra lens.

  • man it's in stock then checkout changes and its out of stock.
then it's click and collect and then fails. will keep trying

  • Just worked for me with Click and Collect.
Now hopefully the Cashback will work too…
Either way, thanks OP, awesome find!

  • Out of stock now

  • Dammit! Hoping there is more stock later. Got busy at work and only just got back to my PC :(

    • Back in stock agian… Hurry up

  • Stock in & out issues…?

Unlike Dick Smith, The Good Guys seem to
REPLENISH stock as it sells out…

Dick Smith just CAN'T COMPETE with THAT, IMO.

    • I bought a D5500 in one of the sales, the click and collect had the stock wrong was display, so they did a free postage from another store …. took a while but they came good, so they do try,

  • Given than I am going overseas in about a month I am looking at buying a DSLR and claiming back the GST.

What would people recommend. The Nikon D3300 or the D5500 or any other good DSLR for that matter.

With all the discounts and GST refunds the D3300 comes to $259.55 and the D5500 comes to $510.51 both at Teds Cameras

    • Depends on your skill set and what genre of photography you're into. If into sports and video, definitely d5500. On the other hand if you're like me who's shooting is landscape or single point focus compose, then d3300 is better value for money. Your saving in camera body can be put towards more decent lens.

      • I would like to say I want to try sports photography but I think in the end it will be more landscape type. I think I should look at the D3300 as a starter and move on if I get good use out of it.

        • The 700d is a better camera. Dicksmith had a big sale so there should be abundance on gumtree or eBay at a decent price. $400 max for single lens kit. I shoot both canon and Nikon and I find skin tones and colour better with canon (my opinion only as I do want to start a brand war).

    • Check to see which - if any - of these SLRs has Plastic Body.

It may be Lighter to Carry.

      • D3300 has a plastic body

    • The D5500 has a touch screen, folds out for selfies or awkward angles, and is glass, the D3300 doesn't have these features but still takes same quality pictures.

I sold my D3300 and got the D5500.

  • its back

    • and gone again….

      • seems there to me

        • +1

Can't add to cart orbuy now. Gives an error

        • Yeah I am getting an error too

        • true that.

      • +1

It's the Good Guys Hokey Pokey.

  • DSLR for the price of a compact.

  • +2

Lots of " new or near new" D3300 being listed on ebay today. I daresay they have claimed the cashback so watch out people…

    • +1

Cashback is only for select retailers, not generic ebay auctions… Sale needs to be from a 'Authorised Australian Nikon Reseller'

      • Those sellers probably bought from an authorised retailer, claimed the cashback online, and now selling the camera as "unwanted gift" (and pocketing the $100)

Just giving heads up before someone buys one of these "near new" cameras, go to claim cashback later and discover its already been claimed by the sneaky ebay seller.

Isn't it cheaper if from harvey

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/nikon-d3300-dslr-camera-with-…

    $342 after $100 cash back

then the $50 with amex https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/226889

    Then the $25 news letter

    Down to $267 ?

    Did i miss something?

Not everyone can/will/want to get an Amex card

      • Well from what i see the Good Guys are sold out once again.

        • Nope there in stock. But once you add it to your cart you get

"Item(s) in your cart aren't available in the quantity you originally requested. We've updated your shopping cart to reflect the amount that is currently available. Please review these changes before proceeding to checkout."

      • Agreeing very hard with this. Have no interest in signing up to a newsletter, even for one where I'm being bought off for $25, and I have even less interest in owning an Amex card in 2015 (soon to be 2016).

Especially for a saving of about $2 or whatever it is. But good luck to everyone who is on the other end of the spectrum to me!

        • Fair enough. But signing up is all pretty painless. Plus the fact that my amex card is free for the first year, gives me a free return flight each year and adds an extra year warranty on purchases, such as this camera, it's a great deal.

        • @OldBugger: Aye, can't argue with that. It pleases me to hear you're making it work for you.

    • +1

I forgot I signed up to this AMEX deal. Thank you for the heads up.

  • Back in stock

    Edit: Nope, out of stock.

  • Anyone got the processing email yet?

  • I got the email.

    • Did you order more then an hour ago?

  • +1

The actual price with cash rewards is $243.44 + Shipping after cash back.

    $424 - 19% (15% eBay + 4% cash rewards) = $343.44
    $343.44 - $100 cash back

Cash rewards is off the $424 not $360.40 (after 15%).

  • Yes i ordered at 1pm after it went to c & c.

    • Ordered at 1 too, called them just now and they advised that they haven't received the order :(

    • after it went to be delivered only and no click and collect.
  • Got from HN for $249.

    • With Amex?

      • yes and $25 voucher.

    • how did you get this? i have an amex card but I am getting higher prices.

      • It was the $424 sale price - $25 newsletter sign up voucher ($399) - $50 Amex rebate ($349) -$100 Cashback ($249)

  • +1

    Out Of Stock :|

    • yeah, I've been trying for the last 2 hrs

  • Any camera bag deals for this camera?? Am not sure which one shall I get? Any suggestion? I got my d3300 in HN yesterday, no complain :)

    • For OzBargain bonus points, why not just use the boxes they came in? 📦

      • I know good point! I'm using the box now, but more handy if have a bag to carry out. :) Anyone bought a camera bag for this camera?

        • What about a reusing a disposable plastic bag?

  • Is this a good camera for beginners? ATM I just use a point and shoot camera. Also the lens that comes with it, is that enough for general use, or should one get a 15-200 mm lens too?

    • +1

It's great for beginners, the kit lens is fine but I recommend a 35mm 1.8 for better image quality and blurry out of focus background

    • Got the 18-140mm for my D5500, had the D3300 …. good camera for the money.

Got the lens from an Ebay 15% off / Kogan.

Seems to be out of stock now:

Unfortunately, these items aren't available. They may have been purchased already or the item listing has expired.

    • Yeh classic - unwanted Christmas gift, receipt shows 26/12.

  • Crap, fantastic price.
Congrats to anyone who got it.

  • I was lucky enough to score one Boxing Day morning and now I too need a case… Let me know if anyone finds one please ;)

    • what did u pay for it on Boxing Day Janey? And did u buy it from Good Guys? We have a local Dick Smith but (sadly) their price was nowhere near Good Guys price

      • I bought before 8am Boxing Day (at 7am) so it was $424 less $100 cash back which is on its way and the $50 good guys credit.
        Total therefore was $274!! Bargain

  • Did anyone got cash rewards tracking receipt. I am still waiting for that.

    • -1

Yes I got the receipt the next day and they asked for the serial number within 14 days (which of course I sent) to validate

  • I just bought one in store but not at that price. I tried hard to get them under $400 store price but couldn't crack it - still a good deal with the cashback and have been wanting to buy a new camera.

  • Now for the bag shopping…

  • I ordered this Camera as well but few days later I find out that they dint have it I stock. Now I have to wait for 2 or 3 weeks can any one please tell if I can get cash back or not? When is the last day

    • I ordered on that date with C&C and got told back then on the next day that they were out of stock and have been waiting since too. Pretty pissed off since it said the ebay website said ready to collect on the next day.

The cashback should be based on the purchase date though right?

      • They make the receipt on the day they post.

  • +2

Camera arrived early last week. I'm flabbergasted at just how good it is generally, but when the overall price is considered ($270) I'm floored. Wonderful piece of kit. I'm not about to swap my K30 and nice glass for one (I need more dials, not less!), but for my bro who is getting into photography for the first time this body will be ideal and will likely last him for a good long time.
