    $99?

    Interesting bargain…

    • Seems like a good price for a Bosch no?

      • -3

        If you say so…

        • its very cheap.

        • But you seem to imply it's not. As an OZBer it's illegal to buy when bargainness is in doubt.

          @nfr:
"As an OZBer it's illegal to buy when bargainness is in doubt."

Just use your own judgement, weigh up the arguments for and against. A comment like "If you say so.." is not a valid argument against, in fact it is a nothing sort of comment.

      • Good. Better. Bosch?

        • Hahaha I remember that!

  • Anyone know what the difference is between the PLR and GLM models? Green vs blue?

    • +1

If it's like other Bosch tools green is for DIY and blue is for tradies.

    • PLR is more basic - pretty much just on/off and hold, with the last/most recent held measurement also showing on display. I bought one a few months back for about $50 (normal retail), works great for my needs.

  • Pics are of model GLM 40?

    • Hi Ozvalue,
Thank you for pointing this out. The image of the GLM40 was uploaded in error. The Bosch GLM50 is $99.

      Kind Regards,
      SuperGrip Tools

  • How many rep accounts does 1 store need? :/

      Megalo! Megalo!

      • You forgot the 3rd Megalo.

        Where, in Brunswick and Footscray.

    • +1

How is this relevant? It is a good price for a good tool. Having a quick look it is the cheapest price i can find in OZ.

      • Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise my comment was gonna come under such scrutiny

        • +1

I think your forgetting where your posting

  • Good deal. Appears to be cheapest price in Aus. Gonna buy but don't know why.

  • +1

Seems like a pretty good price to me. Better than some of the other stuff that passes as a bargain just because it's cheap regardless of how good the actual product is.

I had been looking at the PLR15 for $50 just last night actually since I'm in the market for a new house and quick measurements here and there can be quite handy sometimes.

  • I am interested, but can it show if you are square? Want to use it marking small sided soccer fields, but making sure it is square is the most difficult. Anyone can help if this tool can do this?

    • +1

Measure the diagonal distances are equal.

    • Mark one line, measure 3 lengths from a corner then walk up your intended line and make sure you find a point of reference that is 4 lengths form the corner and 5 lengths from your mark. Then you have a right angle at the first corner. You can use 1m as your length, but more distance is more accurate so you may wish to double or treble all of the distances (eg. 9m,12m,15m)

  • Just tried to order but postage was $15.

    • Same. What gives? It says $9.95 on the product page but when you go to the checkout.

      $15 to 4012
      $11 to 2000
      $15 to 3000

      • I guess they'll miss my sale then if they can't get the postage right.

        • Same, was going to purchase.

        • @ychen8: I did buy, but feel a little violated….

  • Said out of stock…. now says back in stock???

  • I have one of these, they are really really good. Extremely accurate too. Tried an el cheapo from ebay originally….not a huge success. It was literally out by 10% which made it useless

  • I purchased but it screwed up the postage too and my address. It didn't take it from the paypal payment.

    • The paypal express checkout is broken. It loses your delivery details and you can't update it after you hit submit. Not sure if its changeable during checkout but be aware of this.

      My new address is
      {{var street

      hehe

Postage to 2560 was $10, people not buying something because postage is upto $5 more then advertised are just being silly. Maybe the 1 listed on eBay for $160 with free postage is the one for you.
However with that said if postage is marked at $10 it should be $10

However with that said if postage is marked at $10 it should be $10

      That's the point.

  • I placed an order and it also overcharged on shipping and didn't display my shipping address. Sent an email off and this morning they confirmed that the excess would be refunded and that they did have my shipping address.

    • I sent an email too last night but no reply so far. Didn't mention the postage overcharge. What happened to the rep?

  • just bought one, yup delivery address is borked - but cant they get that from the paypal info? Where is the email address on the page?

    • Maybe they can, but the receipt sent has all the data missing, so we can't know that for sure. I just used the sales@ email address in the receipt email. Actually I just replied to that email as it has the order number in the subject.

    • They confirmed to me that they have the shipping info so I imagine it would be the same for all orders.

  • Anybody got theirs yet or have a tracking number? I haven't heard a thing.

    • I have a tracking number, and it has almost arrived.

    • I've heard nothing including no response to my email ensuring they have the correct address after their ordering system munted the address.

      • Just received a Auspost tracking number - says picked up 45 minutes ago.

        • Received in Brisbane 4012 just now (effectively overnight but they only sent it yesterday after I ordered it on Sunday evening). Their communication could have been a bit better.

I also paid the extra for postage but was still a good deal - just not correctly advertised on here or the website itself which still says $9.95 standard shipping.

  • Had a message that it will be delivered today

    • Received today, as I am in Perth it was amazingly quick. Looks good, works well.
Not sure about working outdoors though

  • Hey i just wanted to post that the service from these guys was excellent (apart from a small thing).

Website screwed up my address and I emailed them got an email the next day with a all fixed.

Delivery was tuesday 10.30am by AustPost which is insanely fast considering i bought it in another state over the weekend.

Only issue was the postage which came up wrong and they said they were going to refund me the difference but it never came through. It was only a few bucks though so overall im very happy with these guys.

  • Has anyone been refunded their $5.05 for the excess shipping charge yet?

    • No, but I didn't particularly complain either. It's not like it was added after I committed to buying.

It seems they just want to use OzBargain to advertise (admittedly half decent deal)

    • Actually looking at the revision history, it wasn't them that claimed $9.95 postage. That was added by the user Steptoe after they posted the deal.

  • This deal is awesome and actually still live. SydneyTools has an 11% price beat guarantee, so it brings it down to $88.11 plus delivery charges (or pickup in store). They needed to get special approval for this, so I assume they are not making money. Be warned: I tend to have very good in-store experiences with some branches of Sydney Tools (Brookvale, Caringbah), but have had absolute shockers with some other branches and online.
