  • These days in Sydney it's so hard to spend under $25 on an unber.

    • I've done it thrice this week.

  • This deal is better (I used it on Friday)

  • is it just off your first ride? or is it credit? (i.e if your first ride was $10 would you have $5 for your next ride?)

The leftover value is forfeited. Cannot be carried over.

      • cheers :)

  • I had one of these. Then when I signed up, they automatically applied $10 for signing up and wouldn't let me use the higher value code because I had already 'applied a code'. :(

  • I'm a taxi driver, come into my car and say HIPCHAT15 and i'll knock off $15. I'll even let you choose the Radio station!

    They see me trollin
    They hatin

  • My partner applied the MasterCard promotion for two $25 trips. After the first trip (the only one she took) the app showed the cost as $0, however her credit card was charged the full cost of the trip. She sent a number of emails to Uber (there is no phone support) but all they did is dodge the issue and did not refund the money. She's now trying to get the bank to issue a chargeback. It's great to have promotions, but if you don't apply the discount and then have poor customer service which doesn't fix the issue then you're just driving new customers away..

    • That doesn't sound right? I've been using uber since they launched in Brisbane. Had two instance were I had an issue (one a charge on an uber that didn't pick up, another for a really rude guy). Both times I got a refund without a question.

    • This is really strange and perhaps out of the ordinary. All the stories I've head about people dealing with uber's customer service has generally been met with high praise.

It would be great if they start offering promos to keep existing customers.

Does she think she's a brain surgeon or something…
