  • You should probably specify which model of the One it is.

I was really hoping you just said:

Im a HTC fan and i upgraded from my M7 to the M9 … as much as i love htc sense and dont want to move on to another gui (or manufacturer) id stay away from the M9 … apart form my random reboots .. i've had many a weird things happen.. overall a good phone but def not worth this price.

    • +1

MKBHD did not like the phone so I stay away from it as well.

I have a M8 and I love it's UI and camera. Fast enough for me for my OZBargaining ;)

      • +1

Still have an M7 and it's been going well so far (apart from that one GUI update that messed up the camera). I'm hoping the M10 this year will be worthwhile upgrading to.

        • +1

I had M7 and I loved it. It was my first HTC and I was sold.

The only thing is that it is a wee bit slow reacting. I like to read news and browse web and I cannot stand the lagging that I sometimes got.

So I sold it on eBay and was about to get the M9 but after I heard about the camera, which for me is important, I just ordered M8 from Taiwan.

        • +1

@datafellows: The M9 feels like a rushed phone … pieced together with decent gear which wasn't thought about at the time, you get better photo's with the front ultra pixel camera than the back one.. you can tell the snapdragon cpu causes a lot of issue's from heating to random reboots … this is personal experience .. i do hope they hit back with the M10 and do what they did with the M7 .. that phone is still the best phone I've ever owned. (Yes i've had iphones before)

  • Should be a new model in a couple of months, FYI. Prices might possibly drop further in the lead up to the M10.

I'm ITCHING to use these deals, but I seriously don't see the point - I have a OnePlusX now, and $290 is the new benchmark for me. Unbelieve phone at this price. It's really distorted my view of the market.

So-what, use the old phones to get a handful of these… then eBay??

    I dunno man.

    • Where did you buy the OnePlusX from?

    • +2

Maybe sell the old phones on gumtree as they are. List them one at a time so that you don't get someone that wants to crunch you for a bulk deal. You list one, sell that, list the next, so on and so forth. That way, you won't need to upfront the cost for one of these either. I am sure that your phones will be recycled/used by other individuals. Good luck.

Lots of people giving away their codes. Compared to the madness in the Samsung Jb-Hi-Fi deals where everyone was asking for a spare coupon.

    • +1

Everyone probably signed up for instant deals because of the Samsung deal, now they are all subscribers they don't need to ask anymore

DWI is grey import. If I was in the market for this phone I'd rather spend the small amount extra for 2 years warranty and local support.

I'm a big HTC fanboy, but they really screwed up with the M9. I hope the M10 or whatever it's called is a great phone and a success. The M8 was almost the perfect phone, and still holds up well today. The only downside is the camera.

      • I have a M8 upgraded to Marshmallow. Works terrific.

  • I stay away from HTC after getting xiaomi for the price. Here's mine if anyone wants

  • Good phone to use but don't expect anything worth repairing. Repairability close to none! One of my mate cracked digitizer of his M9, more than 3 phone repair store quoted over $300 for replacement. They claim they have to bear 300% more chance to damage the flexible cables compare to any other brand!
