  • +4

I just asked … Lots in Perth CBD store

    • Let us know if any left. Just called Target lady said out of stock nationwide.

  • +3

They've been that price for about a year. Got one when they were first discounted to $29 and i'm pretty happy with it, much better than the tv speakers and great if you have a tiny budget

    • from previous post… Seem to have good reviews… I got one on hold.. Too heavy to lug back to work !!

    • Cool. What tv connection you use to plug into the speaker pls? I thought coaxial was only for TV antenna in? So you would have to use optical?

      Cheers ~

      • +1

Look at OP's photo - it has every type of connection, except HDMI.

        • +1

i saw the options, i was asking which one he used. I doubt it comes with cables?

        • +1

@chriskq: It came with a cable that goes into the headphone jack of my tv (i think, it's been awhile) But i ended up getting an optical cable and use that one instead. Wasn't included, luckily dick smith was selling them at the time for $3

      • +1

75 ohm coaxial is a digital audio interconnect type.

I Couldn't find a short link to describe only this quote from a Google search:

A digital coaxial audio cable has an RCA interconnect on the end of the cable that gets plugged into the orange digital coaxial outputs on the receiver and the source device, like a CD or DVD player.

      • Were you talking to me? It was posted here, that's how i found out about it.

Going to grab one from the Perth CBD today. Looking forward to an awkward exchange of glances with another OzB member…

    • +12

And… I think it happened. Hi guy in red shirt!!

    • Any chance there'd be one left there if I can only head in on Saturday?

      Or zero chance?

Just to add to the post
    they also have
SONY Sound Bar HTCT80 for sale at $174
    http://www.target.com.au/p/sony-sound-bar-htct8/58136911

    Confirmed statewide with Headoffice

    • So why does the link say $250? What state?

      • It says $250 on the website but it's been marked to $174 at all stores.

They said they have more sales coming through.

        • +1

      Broden?

    • +1

      2 available for $98.50

  • None at Cessnock, Glendale, Kotara or Charlestown.

  • +1

The sale girl said they were pretty in stock when I was there for this post … I told her to be prepared .. . But she just smirked and didn't believe me …

Ask the salesperson if you don't see them on the shelf … It is quiet heavy and they won't restock the shelf unless asked

    • +1

Bugger. No sales staff close by and I didn't take the time to find one and ask. Rookie mistake.

  • I went down to the Perth CBD store to have a look, and got something very similar (also $29) - 2 channel Bluetooth Soundbase, model # PW-1414A - has RCA and line in sockets (as well as Bluetooth), has a remote and comes with RCA and Aux cable

    http://www.target.com.au/p/target-bluetooth-2-1-channel-soun…

    • Awww snap. Sorry all. The spot on the shelf that I was looking at was the 1414A (what I thought this deal was for) - looks like I was completely off the mark.

    • +3

      Care Instructions

      Machine washable

      Nice.

    • I saw two at Whitford WA 2 hrs ago.

  • There was also another sound plate there with 2x20w but no sub. Use to be $99 now $29 also !!

    • Is it marked down to $29? There was one on the shelf above this one, marked down from $99 to $79. That one?

      • No. . RX8 beat me to the link …from above post .. But no Sub for thatonei think

        • Hrmm… Where were the HSB3801s in relation to the 1414As in the Perth store? Same section, or on an end somewhere else?

        • @DirtyBoots: better queries the sale person … How fast are these things going !!? Better pick up my one soon !

        • @Sevenofnine: Good call. Might be worth a second attempt on my way home from work. cheers

        • @DirtyBoots: all gone … Just picked mine one up …

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/213995

its not really that good, get a refund for it

      • +1

A quick look at the link you have posted shows it is a different model.

This model has a built in Subwoofer, which makes it definitely worth 29 dollars.

I have one from the previous deal and while not blown away by the performance, I would've been happy to get another for this price.

        • +1

          I was replying to Sevenofnine.

[VIC] Just contacted the stores listed below and all out of stock, or none that they can see (apparently on their system, the stock levels are about 2 days old)
-Dandenong, Glen Waverley, Chastone, Southland, Frankston, Waverley Gardens

    • That's all the stores near me in East Bentleigh. Cheers.

    • me too, thanks

  • +1

Just rang Target east vic park, WA and also confirmed no stock :(

  • +1

Damn! I have been to my local SA Target this evening. If only I saw this deal then. :(

  • +4

Spoke to Target Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast QLD) earlier, gave them the exact Item Code (55959247) so that they could be 100% about their stock… Apparently they haven't had stock of this for almost a year!

If anyone else is ringing around to check stock, rather than getting them to check the shelves, get them to look on their system for Item Code 55959247, they'll be able to see EXACTLY what you are referring to, and check their ACTUAL stock levels (rather than just looking around physically and guessing).

    • Do you still have this on hold? Ive got a new account so I couldn't pm you.

      • Sorry mate I doubt it would still be on hold but they would've released it back into population so ring ASAP!
