Xiaomi Hybrid IEM Earphones ~ $24.97 AUD ($17.64 USD) @ FastTech

KUNGHEI

I personally own a pair of these earbuds which I purchased for about $31 two weeks ago from Banggood, and have been highly impressed by them. To myself at least, these are a great improvement from the Piston 3's, with a much more emphasised bass.

To my mind $25 is a great price to pay for such high quality earbuds. Sure they don't quite match my pair of over ear Bose but still a nice sound none the less.

  • FFS. I literally payed $38 on eBay 4 hours ago. FML.

    • Ouch, they're still well worth the price ;)

      • Yeah, and much faster shipping :)

My Piston 3s went through the wash, so needed a new pair ASAP anyway

  • Do these have a microphone?

EDIT: My bad, just saw it has 'in-line control / w/ microphone' :)

Unless I've missed something, isn't GearBest selling it for $24.90?

    http://www.gearbest.com/earphones/pp_261864.html

Haven't really dealt with them however.

      Yes, but Gearbest suck.

I can't comment on FastTech though. Sounds like it could be a gearbest knockoff…

GearBest was banned from OZB for a reason.

    • Good luck ordering from gearbest and receiving the product before you retire…lol still haven't received some random $10 purchase from over a year ago despite the numerous emails I've sent like many others. It all fell on deaf ears I guess.

  • Banggood has them for AUD34 incl. Priority Mail if someone doesn't want to wait. Ordered there yesterday and it is already in transit.

    • How long is priority?

      • 6-9 business days

  • Im planning to buy this one using my debit card (anz). Is the aud 24.97 all in already? Or will there be additonal charges like International transaction fee? Since the currency is in usd?

  • never heard of this site before. Are they reliable?

    • That's what I'm wondering.

      • They sell alot of electronic vaping gear.. everyone on aussievapers uses fasttech and have done so for years. Always delivered, but can often take 4 weeks for delivery (it's commonly referred to as "slowtech" on forums).

Edit: Noticed they now have Australian Expedited Air (9 working days) for an additional $2US. And it's capped shipping, so you can add a whole bunch of things to your card and still be charged the same amount for Air.

    • I hope they live up to their name, but something tells me it might take 30 days to receive it.

I'm doing a quick search through the usual chinese sites and Allbuy has a 30% off code HAPPY2016 bringing the price of these from 21.99 down to 15.40 USD

edit: gearbest gets further 6% off via shopandmint cashback bringing its price to 16.31USD which is still less than Allbuy's

  • Note that it's Chinese New Year at the moment and they will won't ship until 14th Feb. Add to that, it may take another 4 weeks for delivery. If you're in a rush you're better off ordering elsewhere.

Edit: Noticed they now have Australian Expedited Air (9 working days) for an additional $2US. And it's capped shipping, so you can add a whole bunch of things to your card and still be charged the same amount for Air.

  • I have these headphones and also the piston 2's. The fabric on the hybrids very quickly stretched and let the cable through some holes and got kinks I had to cut the fabric in a few places, on the other hand the pistons 2 fabric is great and I've had them for way longer.

    • Hehe. Beauty of braided/sleeved cords and the way they kink, especially in the packaging. My g9x was subject to it similar to this reddit post (both my old g5 and g9x crapped out at the point where the cable enters into the mouse body, I've had to disassemble and get extra cords too but have stopped using them).

  • What is iem? Hybrid iem? Never have one..

    • IEM = in-ear monitors. Not sure why the terminology took off but it's just a fancy way of saying earphones.

Hybrid = it uses a diaphragm driver for the bass and an armature driver for the mids/highs

Does anyone here who has an iPhone 6 and uses Xiaomi Piston 3 experience a problem where whilst listening to music their siri suddenly turns on, or the music is fastfowards/skipped?

    • That's most likely because you either hit the buttons on the controls or the buttons are sticky.

The ones on the Piston 3 don't work with iPhones. Does anyone know if these ones work with iPhones though?

    • Yes I do, it's very peculiar to pressure on the ends. I've switched back to my Piston 2.1s which does not have this problem.

  • Confirmation of oder email…
