    • there are more than one…..so link will take you to the option!!!

Your mentioned 10GB bonus comes for $50 per month. So put that in title

  • +1

You have mentioned 10GB in title , you should mention the price for that plan (50$)

  • +1

was more excited to spread the word that’s all!!!and forgot the basics……LOL

  • Doh! just signed up to the virgin deal $40 + 10GB…how does this one stack up? apart from the obvious $10 difference?

    • missing out on unlimited international call for 10 countries.
If you don’t need any INTL calls then that’s fine.
With Virgin are you getting unlimited national calls???

      • yes unlimited national calls, but not unlimited international

        • $300 intl credit gives you about 5 hrs a month calls to into countries, depending on charge. (UK for instance there) sms also at 35c each intl.
Optus offers unlimited intl sms, but only to select countries and 300 minutes of intl to select countries also.

      • For Virgin Mobile, you're getting calls to a wider range of countries.
Virgin Mobile barrs Cuba, Iraq, Myanmar/Burma, Syria, Thuraya Satellites, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guantanamo Bay, North Korea, Diego Garcia
Every other country is included in your international call credit

        • I have been to north korea, doesn't matter if your sim works there or not as they take your phone off you the moment you enter the country

  • Voda deals are better only competitor is Optus in offering deals rest all are stuck to their ego

Virgin is currently $40 p/m for 10gb Optus 4G (unlimited c&t in Aus) and intl credit + data rollover (for one month).
This deal is hardly worth comparing while both deals are available, unless you have strange coverage issues with the Optus network that Voda can cover.

well that virgin deal only has 7 hrs and 40mins left…

      • +1

Still time. I just signed up this morning.

      • If people are in need of other options, Optus has 7Gb Data for $40 and with 10% off for students
I believe Telstra also still has $40 for 5gb as well - a promising deal if in need of better coverage or if you use Apple Music (12 months free)
Telstra and Optus plans also come with Thanks Telstra and Optus Perks (cheap movie tickets - $12.50 and $11 I think at Event cinemas and Hoyts respectively)
Not saying that OP's post isn't a good deal - but at the moment, there are other offers out there that ozbargainers should know about :)

This is expensive. I signed up to the same deal last month (expiry was 31/01/2016) and it was $40 for 10GB.

Suppose the only difference is mines a 12 month contract. BUT I also got 2 months free unlimited data workout AND half price for first month access fee.

    • Got the same deal less the 1st month half price due to waiving of termination fee (Contract ends sometime in April).

I think it comes down to how you negotiate with them. I am on a 24 month plan $35/month with 13gigs of data with all the perks of the above plan.

I have been a vodafone customer for sometime though.

      • Wow nicely done. I'm still on an old Vodafone 4GB of Data, same inclusions as above with the old 300 minutes of Overseas calls to any country (not restricted) for $29.95 per month.

Ill take the $5 Roam Like Its Home option for overseas travel over the Data Rollover with Virgin where I find it hard to use my data now and I only have 4GB let alone 12GB.

  • I play world of tanks blitz a lot through mobile networks. I was using Vodafone 4G but jumped to virgin last week. To be honest, Vodafone has a much better connection speed.

    • are you in metro area?

      • yes Melbourne central

        • oh…tat's worrying….I've just signed up to Virgin… DOH!!!

    • In congested areas like Metro areas Vodafone tends to have a better connection. In the suburbs you'll usually get a better connection with Optus based providers. Telstra is generally better overall but you pay for it.

  • I had voda or at least some company representing voda call me today and offered 45 for unlimited txt and calls plus 12GB data… only catch was 24 month signup. This may have being a business plan as well.

  • I signed up the same plan with just $40 / month. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/226271

    • this is unlimited international calls to select 10 countries. yours is 90 mins I guess.

      • You are right, but I just use Facetime nowadays. This deal is good for those who have relatives or friends living in the 10 selected countries.
