Pricehipster has been publishing a lot of items @ OW with very limited stock in the last few days.

I am very curious if anyone will actually read this, go to OW and come home with a 25c Toilet Brush.

    • +1

Yes officeworks often have clearance items on their website that they don't have stock of, I doubt they even had any stock when they reduced the price to this low, just fishing

    • +4

Yes, I've been keeping an eye on this (I'm the creator of Price Hipster). I suppose it's a good deal for those who have stock in stores near them.

  • I used to have these in my house at uni! Could get them at woolies and bunnings. Never this cheap though

  • +2

Cheap, but I find this type of brush too often has the top handle coming off the brush body if used vigorously - often it's just a press fit on a nut.

    • Seconded, I have the white version of this product and at the risk of sounding sad - I live alone and don't often have visitors so it is rarely used. The brush has loosened and I've been able to adjust it once and it has also come off the handle entirely once. It's kind of annoying cause I would hate to think if that happened to a guest buuuuut I'm risking it for now

    • +1

Yep, I've gone to only buying brushes that are single pieces. There's not any good looking options, but at least the handle isn't coming off all the time and they're generally cheap anyway. Though not $0.25 cheap….

Take a leaf out of this person's book and confirm locations of stock before posting.

    • That's serious dedication to the bargain cause.

      • It is. Maybe not that extreme. What is now in the OP is perfectly acceptable.

  • I prefer to just get the $2 ones from ikea and put them in the recycling when they get icky.

    • would you rather

      a 25c toilet brush?

          or

a flimsy $2 ikea toilet brush?

      PICK ONE

      • +12

I'd pick the one with available stock.

      • a flimsy $2 ikea toilet brush?

        Proof of this apparent flimsiness?

        • it is, no need to explain

      • +1

The Ikea ones for $1.75 are a single piece, so much less flimsy that this one that will likely separate mid-brush if used vigorously.

Why exactly are you putting your shitty toilet brush in the recycling?

      • because they are recyclable…

        • Weird I don't see people shit into the recycle bin… Oh you were talking about the brush.

        • -1

@tomleonhart: Actually, i am talking about the shit. Where do you think fertiliser come from?

        • @highdealer: oh…..

        • @highdealer: Not sure if serious…
All sorts of organic waste is used to make fertiliser and NONE of it goes in the recycling bin.

        • -1
        • @highdealer: but green lid garden bins are different from recycling bin… (i think there lies the confusion…) http://www.1coast.com.au/Yellow-Lid-Recycling-Bin

        • @highdealer: So you can see that's a garden bin - not a recycling bin. Furthermore you still cannot put animal waste in a green bin anyway. So my point stands.

        • -1

@johnno07: What you you think they do with the stuff you but in the garden bin mr genius?

All sorts of organic waste is used to make fertiliser and NONE of it goes in the recycling bin.

The green bin is a recycling bin.

        • @highdealer: Holy crap, man. When I said "recycling bin" I was obviously referring to the yellow-lidded bins that are literally, explicitly called RECYCLING BINS. And, like I said, either way, animal waste is not recycled. Got it?

I tried one of these toilet brushes but was not satisfied. The stiff bristles are simply too harsh for the sensitive skin around my backside. I've gone back to using toilet paper, it's much more comfortable.

  • Do they have return policies on used ones?

  • Don't bother…they go rusty

    • Don't complain it's just 25c

    • +1

Agree. I see one in one of the office toilet, the problem is the dirty water from the brush would drip down and get collected inside the metal stand, causing the base of the stand to become rusty and yucky >:-P

  • Lots of items on special/clearance in the corner - mesh bin for 50 cents was a good deal!

  • +3

Cheers OP. Bought one for every room of the house.

  • +1

Good for brushing my Croc teeth.

  • +4

Will pick up a few later - good, practical stocking fillers - especially around christmas time with all that turkey, ham and pudding to expel

Don't think this is the quality dunny scrubber I`m looking for.

  • They rust pretty quickly.

    • +1

Maybe if you weren't such a bad shot, your bathroom wouldn't be so damp.
      :p

  • +1

go to an ow that says it has stock, when it doesn't, take toilet scrubber from their public toilets, tip them 25c as you walk out the door.

  • Bought it yesterday. Tried it out this morning. Don't like it. It hurts my gums.

  • still wondering how a 'Toilet Brush and Holder' gets 'Total Office Solutions' !!
