    Junk. Trust me.

What do you expect for a buck?

      • +16

Fair point. I prefer to save it.

        P.S - I have these.

    • +2

I found handy in caravan, just enough light to get in and out without disturbing everyone.

If you have blackouts pop a couple in cupboard where you keep batteries/candles.

Stick inside lid top of toolbox / first aid kit.

      • +2

Hahaha.. So "Ultra-Bright" might be an embellishment, then?

        • +2

Yep, It's quite bright for a couple of feet. All is subjective. Very handy if you need a light for a very small space where it's not practical to install something. Theses are a button light that sticks on. Inside your fusebox maybe.

      • Or just turn on the torch you're reaching for, and save a buck?

Does anyone actually use candles anymore? Long blackouts have been very rare where I live. AA batteries are cheap and less likely to burn down your house.

        • Sorry dude didn't mean to offend you was just making suggestions. I know when it's pitch black in a blackout I may not remember the exact position I left my torches in. Yes many many people buy and use candles, they are quite effective at lighting a room and last for a long time.

        • @tonka:

Not offended. Just saying the money could be saved. I usually have one of my torches somewhere I can find by feel. Just put it in the same place you'd put the light from this bargain.

        • @syousef: 'Just put it in the same place', you know that the blackouts deliberately wait until that torch gets moved though? And by the same rules theses button leds can actually help stop blackouts by being over prepared.

        • @tonka:

Our house is pretty messy and I still manage to keep LED torches without them getting moved. I guess this is a case of whatever works for you. For me these cheap stick on button LED lights are a waste of money.

        • @syousef: Ah ok missed my humor I think.

        • @tonka:

Nup, got the humour. Pretty hard to miss. Replied seriously anyway:)

PayPal express not working.. I dunno about this one.

    • +1

Yeah I am having trouble on mobile chrome also, and if I request the desktop site still doesn't work

    • Yeah 'tis.
Just ordered with paypal. Go through normal secure checkout. Paypal next screen.
      Worked ok for moi!
      Good Ruck!!!
      :)

      • Means putting in my details for something I don't overly wanna buy anyway though. I've had a few of these years back and they were quite average, they're more just a nightlight sorta thing for kids.

  • I find these useful. Great price, thanks OP.

  • How often do we have to change the batteriies and how much would that cost? If anyone has experienec with these please reply

    • They are 3 AAA batteries, so cost you should be able to work out, they should last year's if you don't have the light on all the time

      • AAA 's are cheap, thanks mate

    • I've been using one for the past 2 years. There's still juice in the batteries!

    • We use a sensor type with 4 aaa batteries in the bathroom so you dont have to turn the light on in the middle of the night.

1 charge lasts 2 to 4 weeks depending on which charger i use. Using energizers, eneloops dont last as long. We dont turn it off so it works during the day too. It has more leds and sensor but might give you a rough idea

  • Strange that PayPal not working.

    • See above reply… I think you have to go through to next screen on "secure checkout".
      Give it a whirl.

Website is broken and Paypal not working.

    • I just used it successfully. Go to other payments

      • Where is other payment method?

        • If you are using mobile site you need to click on full site on the bottom of the page or change to desktop view.

Edit It says Secure checkout in red and you can still pay with PayPal. Hope this will help you.

I use these in my house. They work wonders and aren't too bright. Good to place near your bed if you don't have a lamp.

  • The price is certainly right.

These will keep the monsters out from under my bed. Thank.

  • Website doesn't work very well.

My shipping address was cut short and it completely removed the line breaks, mangling the entire address!

Thanks. I've got a couple of these before from eBay. Took a few weeks to deliver.
Works well on the inside of the horse float. Enough light to cleanup when getting home late.

$1 here - Would be the same thing as far as I can tell.

Good quality or bad at 5 for $3 this is a serious no brainer.

  • these look decent enough to light up a shelving unit from IKEA

  • +1

I wish these took AA batteries instead of AAA ones so I could use my eneloops that i got from dicksmith or the 40 pack of chevron AA batteries I got from bigw months ago

  • Price aside, these are pure junk.

Ordered 2 last time and one was DOA. The other didnt even have adequate room for the battery to fit.

  • i bought some better ones (with dual light - halogen array and torch) at australia post the other day on clearance. sorry, meant to post but been busy. Reduced from $9 to $2 each. couldn't believe how bright the halogens are.

    • I'd be interested to know how long batteries will go for in a halogen. For many people the lack of light is actually and advantage

      • i won't know for a while since i won't use them that often. i'm using one for a dark cupboard, another for hanging from the front door when i need to open the door at night and can't see the keyhole and the third for a spare (although, i think i'll keep it in the car in case i have a break down and need to check under the bonnet - they have a handy articulated hook which would help in this situation, although the separate magnet appears to be useless).
