  • I'm intrigued, so is it ore assuring to buy from everbuying or ebay?

  • +1

Mine has been dispatched. I ordered in the first 50 with the other discount code.

    • Seems to be very slow shipping. Mind to share if you have received it?

      • +1

Not yet, I also ordered the G1W-CB from them last time, it was shipped 10/3/2016 and arrived 24/3/2016.

This A118C shows as shipped on 14/4/2016 so hopefully it'll be by the end of this week.

Both items use a different shipping tracking site though so maybe a different service?

      • +1

Still waiting. Ordered on 13/04/2016. Showing departed facility 16/04/2016. Still in transit. The G1W-CBs ordered from last deal came within a week, which i was really impressed. I'm expecting that I won't see the parcels for another couple weeks for this one…

    • I ordered mine on the 14th as well. One of the 50 from the first code and mine arrived today.

      • I had a package arrive today too but it was delivered to my relative's house so I'm not sure if it was the dash camera or a phone I ordered which also says delivered on its tracking!
Have to find out on the weekend when I can visit.

      • It was my phone delivery :( hope the dashcam arrives this week.

        • mate, did you receive your camera?
Looks like quite a few people have already received theirs and i'm still waiting for mine. hrmmm …
Might wait till tomorrow and I will probably contact them.
But was wondering if you ended up receiving yours?

        • +1

          @iamtezr:
          Yep, arrived Monday 2nd.
Maybe Auspost is being slow, hopefully you get yours this week.

        • @unco:
          thanks.
then mine should be coming soon, hopefully it's tomorrow.
          cheers.

  • Is pay through paypal will be $67.80 instead of $67.05?

  • Thanks op.
Got one for rear windscreen, looking at street guardian version of this camera for my front screen.

    edit:
Paid with Paypal (and it shows the txn in paypal as $46.99usd) but had immediate fraud detection sms from my credit card provider… instead of one transaction from PAYPAL it shows 3 unknown authorizations of $0.01, $5.96 & $61.57… Going to discuss with bank, never had this occur.

    edit2:
bank has held txn as there are no merchant details listed as yet, fraud dept will sort it out tomorrow.

    • Update on this:

All is OK, just unfortunate timing of 3 different txn's hitting card at that time… merchant info was available in back end systems to fraud dept and it checked out on all 3.

  • Just ordered one.
    $60.70 through paypal.

    Maybe i should get 3 at that price… :-/

    This isn't a deal!

It can be had for that price on AliExpress.

      That's the battery version.

Capacitor version is over $51usd. Agreed, not a big saving but there are a number of different versions all labelled as B40/A118C, take a look on the various dashcam forums and it appears that it's luck of the draw as to whether you get the awesome version (such as reviewed by TechMoan) or the not-so-awesome version..

      • any way to tell which one your getting?

        • A118 = Battery
          A118C = Capacitor

If keen to confirm, open up the casing (4 screws) and look for 2 cylindrical components, likely green, these are capacitors.

Sorry, misread your question. I haven't been able to confirm if there is a surefire way to confirm whether the cam from gearbest or everbuying will be a dud or not but it's for sure that some have been burnt using eBay, therefore I'm going to worse case use this one as a rear cam in one car if it is a dud and I cannot return etc.

Street Guardian do a sg9665gc which looks identical but uses better hardware for $240 delivered, I'm strongly considering this as my front cam but am reviewing a couple reports of it struggling with certain bright situations causing whiteout of the image.

          Good luck

        • @inertia8:
Went for the A118C. Taking a punt on $67 delivered
Hoping it's in the awesome version category.

Received mine yesterday, gave it a run during the night…I just feel bad for those who bought more than 1. The camera turns to a potato at night, then turns into a decent camera during the day.

    • Thanks for sharing. I expected the night would be bad after looking at the review. Seems like they've learnt the mistake and trying to fix this in a119. Definitely I wouldn't use it for rear window as it would be totally useless at night.

  • Does anyone have an issue with the micro sd card slot? My micro sd card does not stay inserted and the dash cam is unable it.

  • Any code on Xiaomi Mi Band leather strap deal? My original strap has broken.

  • Hi, can anyone confirm the dash cam is compatible with a sd card larger than 32gb? (e.g. 64gb, 128gb)

  • This website is a total gamble, bought my A118C dashcam decide from them 3 weeks ago. The dash cam decided to stop working after two days. I contact their customer service team. They try to offer me a partial refund of $20 USD (credit to use on their site) or pay another 30 USD for shipping another unit to me. If you want to test your luck go ahead and shop with them. Otherwise, you better off buying from a eBay locate seller which you are entitle for a protection.

    • I would suggest try contacting the OP. He's very helpful with this sort of things. I'm still pending on my arrivals of cameras. I contacted the OP and was advised that EB will get in touch with me. EB support emailed me within a few hours about my parcel.
Even though I was asked to wait a bit longer by EB and now it's been a month, my tracking showing it's still in transit and who knows what has happened to my parcel. I'm being positive and hoping it'll turn up any minute now but at the same time…I've got a strange vibe that maybe some prick is currently using my cameras in their car at this very moment.. hrmmmm….

Contact the OP lamby and see if you have assist.

    • Hello lamby,

Sorry for the inconvenience that has been caused.

Could you send me an email at [email protected] about your order number and a short video to let me check again? Then I'll see what I can do to help solve your problem.

  • Ordered 14 April and still waiting for mine

    • Can you please send your order number to Becky and let her know that you have not received.

  • Same…

    • Can you please send your order number to Becky and let her know that you have not received.

  • Finally got around to installing mine last night.

Do I have something wrong in the settings that's causing this grey/blue colour through my videos? It looks nothing like the sample videos posted :(
I'm using the 1920x1080 30p setting with WDR off.

Can you please check the lense. There is a thin lense protector just remove that.

      • Don't I feel like a twit.

I actually saw that blue protective film and thought to myself "I'll remove it once I install the camera to the windshield otherwise I'll get my prints on the lens".
        And what do you know..

Thanks for reminding me I'm a bit lost sometimes monty haha.

I just removed it, I'll check out the footage after the drive home tonight :)

        • let me know how it goes :-), I am using the same one.

      • It came on that setting out of the box so I didn't change it.

Is there a noticeable difference or gain to be had with WDR turned on?
I figured I'd check the footage and compare with it on and off over the next few days since I just put it in.

        • I will give it a shot with it on tomorrow and check out the difference and report back :)
