Its for accenture employees. might want to mention that because you might be banned or get your membership canceled.

Also the 4 stays must be under Accenture rate codes, which means other bookings don't count. I work for a similar company which has this type of offer, and hilton gives special codes to companies to book hotel rooms under, so they get special rates.

    • Updated thanks!

    • In the off-chance you're staying 4 times with Hilton in 90 days, there's another targeted offer for 50K points

      • strange that i am not eligible to get this 50k deal. anyone else has a same problem?

trying to create a password after the validation e-mail but it won't let me! swear i'm doing it right but keep getting this error message:

Hmm, your login details don't seem right. Check that your caps lock is off and try again.
Careful! After five tries, you'll get locked out.
Forgot your password? Get a new one.

    any tips?

    • +21

Make sure your caps lock isn't on

      • wow, thank you so much!!!

    • Don't use your email but rather your member number.

      • might sound like a dumb question, but where can i find my member number? didn't get one when i made an account yest..

        • Would have shown on the confirmation screen and the email that went out. If you don't have either. Bad luck.

  • +1

Gold is gold, they wont police this.
    Thanks

  • +1

Got it , wouldn't mind a status match on other programs soon!

  • +1

Icant see where I am gold. Nothing in the email or the log n shows gold. Howcan I confirm?

  • +3

I tried, got created as a Blue status member. Not sure if it works any more.

  • If I'm silver status already, and take up this offer for 3months, will it revert me back to silver?

    • It might be like accor. Bumps you back to pleb unless you call up

  • +8

I took advantage of this offer last time round, and subsequently stayed at 4 different Hilton Hotels, here, in the US and Japan.

Apart from free wifi and a weird large biscuit with my name on it in icing (in Japan of course) I got nothing out of this.

Express check in didn't really work when I tried it, no room upgrades(I tried every time), no discounts at all in the hotel bar (I tried it on multiple times), not even a complimentary drink (one night I spent $200 at the bar, and didn't even get a bowl of peanuts on the house.)

I hope others have a more positive experience, but sadly, like nearly all 'reward' programs, this isn't worth your time….

    • +2

Actually I find the hilton rewards program is one of the best.

Free breakfast (meaning you can book a cheaper room without breakfast)
Spouse stays free (meaning you can book a room for 1 person, and 2 can stay)
If you do get upgraded, sometimes you get access to the executive club with free drinks/snacks. This has happened to me quite often in Asia. Also our flight was at about 11pm, and they let us check out at 9pm.

However I'm tempted to neg this deal as its targeted at accenture employees.

      • Osaka Japan…

Paid for base level room and was upgraded for the week to an Executive Level Suite, lounge access (free supper, alcohol) daily breakfast etc… Very happy.

+1 to Hilton Gold from me…

      • +1

You normally pay for a second person in the room? I had no idea, I thought you just pay per room

      • Agree with this. Got HHonors Gold via a Visa promo and always got upgraded to the Executive Lounge Access rooms at Doubletrees which was great.

I think the free breakfast buffet and high-speed internet access are probably worth $50/night for two at rack rates (obviously you can eat cheaper).

If you're lucky enough to get a room upgrade and executive lounge access (which is quite likely from my experience in Asia/London) then it's even more valuable. Can get free snacks/drinks any time of day, plus cocktails during happy hour.

    • +1

In practice the benefits vary dramatically from one hotel to another, but you usually get breakfast in some form. The benefit is continental breakfast i.e cold cereals and bread etc. In the US they generally do enforce this but here in AU you will normally receive the full breakfast or at least a blind eye.

Hilton usually have separate categories (superior, deluxe etc) where the rooms are exactly the same (maybe a higher floor?) so upgrades are dubious at best. I can tell you from 6+ years as Gold and Diamond I have never once received what I would consider an ACTUAL upgrade.

Having said that, I'm usually at the Sydney Hilton which is as tight as they come.

Cairns and Adelaide are my favourite in AU for recognition of status.

      • How is the complimentary breakfast at Sydney Hilton?

        • +1

Depends. If they give you executive floor, or access to the lounge then that is where you have the complimentary breakfast (you can't elect to eat downstairs anymore). It's okay for a quick bite before you run off but it's not exactly what appears in your mind when you think of a hotel buffet breakfast.

If you don't have access to the lounge then your complimentary breakfast is downstairs. I think the food and selection is very impressive, however I haven't eaten there for 6-12 months and just yesterday I spoke to someone that was unimpressed. I can tell you that the coffee takes forever to come out and half the time I leave before it arrives.

Overall the rooms are cold, tiny, and unimpressive. Sheraton on the Park has the bulk of my business.

        • @LoopyLou: thanks mate. Agree with your opinion on the rooms. Small and unimpressive. I was Just curious about the breakfast as I did not have it when I stayed there. Did have a peek at the buffet downstairs and it looked great. I think the place is called the glass brassiere or something.

          Sheraton is under SPG?

        • +1

@Jared17: Yes Sheraton is under SPG.

      • Even as an SPG member with no status this year, I received an upgrade to a larger room from an award stay, all with a simple email request prior to my stay, genuinely for my honeymoon. Even during first two nights of my stay, they had provided complimentary champagne and dessert.

    • +1

But you got a free biscuit….that's good

      • +3

        Doubletree only for the biscuit.

  • I find the Accor group one isn't bad, frequent room upgrades, free drinks and exec lounge where available pretty good.

Just stay at your fancier iterations of the chain like sofitel, your not going to get much at the ibis.

  • +3

I guess this would be good if you're heading over to France and want to spend one night in Paris.

    • +4

I stayed at the Paris Hilton some time ago… Nice hotel.

      • +1

You sure it was the hotel? ;)

      • +3

I went inside once, very dirty but hey it was free. Got a tape out of it too.

      • Let me guess, you only stayed for one night?

    • Why Paris?

      • Just don't google one night in Paris.

        • +1

Oh Lol! I haven't heard that joke in YEARS!

Also, I googled it, watched it, and am back now pretty happy. So yea, bad advice.

  • +4

    Trying to sign up,
Hmm… Something doesn't seem right. Double-check your entry and try again.
I have no idea what's not right

  • +4

    Sounds like this has been O Z B A R G A I N E D

  • Anyone got this to work?

  • Sorry, we can't access your customer profile right now. If you're trying to make reservations, continue without signing in and enter your Hilton HHonors™ number on the guest information page during the booking.

    Ozbargained

  • I'm an existing customer and can't even log in at the moment let alone apply this. sounds like they are having technical difficulties…

  • Sign up working now
And successfully upgraded to Gold - sign out and back in to take effect visually in the app.

    • +1

you are lucky! I signed up, signed in, signed out and I am still on BLUE

  • Is there a need to book via Hilton.com to get benefits (as opposed to a hotel site that might have promos running)?

  • +1

Can I status match this to anything as of now?

  • +1

HH from my experience is a great club. I signed up for free in December last year as I was staying at the Hilton Fiji Resort in January. We booked through Expedia.com.au instead of direct but still got upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom apartment, plus free late checkout. Status still Blue after the deal though :/

  • Darn! Too bad, I just returned from France (and stayed at Hilton St Lazarre). This one would've helped a lot!

  • Thank you, successfully signed up. The website shows I am in blue status, but I downloaded the app and says I'm gold.

  • +3

Anyone with Blue status, try going back to the link and enter your login details and click on the register button. Then logout and log back into the app and it should work… well it did for me.

    • +1

      Just worked, thanks!

      • +1

Also worked, great work team! Perfect timing, India and Hong Kong this month :D

    • Still no luck =(

Could you provide dummy proof instructions to what you did.

      Cheers.

      • +3

I clicked on the link (Go to Deal) button, then clicked Enrol Now and created the account.

I then downloaded the app and signed in using the membership number and password. I went to account and it said Blue status. I signed out of the app.

I went back to the link (Go to Deal) and entered my account details (for the account I just created) and hit Register.

I then went back to the app and signed in again and in the account section it now says I have Gold membership.

Hopefully the same thing works for you.

        • +1

          Thank you animal

          I now have GOLD

        • +1

          thanks mate

        • This doesn't appear to work anymore :(

  • Android app not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7! 😕

  • You can get a free gold membership if you are a Gold or Platinum Velocity member as well (through the Velocity website)

    • Velocity Platinum = Hilton Hhonors Diamond for 1 year, one off. The diamond benefits are great, I have received some really great benefits and little extras.

    • Do they recognise gold etihad?

      • no, it's a one off one year benefit when you get velocity platinum, and velocity platinum gets one off one year Hilton hhonors benefit, however if you move up and down levels you can get it again.

        • Good to know i will wait for a virgin status match with my QF platinum.

  • So how long do you get to keep gold status for?

    • as stated in the title and description: till 31st of August

      • and i think if you stay 4 nights in the promo period, you keep the gold status until 2018

  • Any freebies without spending anything? At the prices they charge most of these bonuses should be included. Ironic that budget hotels and even some lower-level Hiltons provide Wi-fi for free…

  • I think I confused myself reading this…

does this mean it won't work on existing bookings? I have one in brisbane coming up in a few weeks and the breakfast would go down really well

  • +1

Going to be a few people disappointed to find that the gold thing is totally worthless.
The real effort is only made for the top tier and this is a con to increase bookings
I'm gold Accor- I actually called them about my never getting an upgrade and the next time I'm staying there I've Ben promised they'll finally do something
I've been gold Starwood- pointless. Their supposed upgrade is always the minimum eg we've upgraded you to a room away from the elevator…
If your staying in the middle of nowhere it MIGHT be better

  • There's still one running with Visa as well https://www.visa-promotions.com/promotions/HiltonHHonors/pri…

    • what is visa hilton?

      • Visa is a credit card, Hilton is a hotel group.

  • Pretty sure there is a promotion with Virgin at the moment too, with platinum and gold members of velocity getting equivalent status at hiltons. Saw the ad in the Virgin lounge.
