1280

Is it just me or does this seem cheap? Yeah I know, crap phone. Blah blah. But for Brick's and mortar, cheap nonetheless?

So many neg comments about the lack there of storage and no negs on this deal.

Frankly I think 8 GB if doable as I am using an 8gb Android and it works fine.
Enough storage for emails texts pictures and some time filling games.

8Gb isn't for anyone, but it is still a good price for someone want iOS phone and doesn't need more storage. You shouldn't tell other people how much storage or which os they should choose, because that their preference. My dad still using 16Gb iPhone 4, but even 4Gb is more than enough for him.

    • There's about 3.7GB of usable storage after you've done software updates. Install around 20 apps or so (email, banking, facebook, few other bits and pieces etc) and you're down to 2GB left. Take some photos or videos of the kids over the weekend and now your device is full. It might be passable but for anyone who is a basic user, this is going to be quite annoying.

      • My father doesn't use the phone to take pictures, listen to music, or even use the iTunes or App Store. He just need a phone to make/receive calls, check couple website for update info, check the weather and mail which I installed and setup before I give him the phone.
I have a 16Gb phone, which I need to upload my photo/video to cloud or PC, delete unwanted apps ect, I wish I have a 32 or 64Gb phone. But in my father case, half of 8Gb is enough for him

  • How well doea the 5c runs iOS 9 though? If it's laggy and slow bit much to expect $279 especially with all the other compromises. I say people spend the extra for the 5s because iOS 9 runs well still on that hardware. The soc is about twice as good as the 5c one. Ignoring all the other area's Apple improved in with the 5s over the c.

    • It runs OK, it's basically iPhone 5 specs. A lot better than the iPhone 4s, but still not amazing or anything. There are faster phones for less money.

    • Installed Antutu apps last night, iPhone 6 benchmark 79k, iPhone 5s 64k, iPhone 5/5c 31k. Just an reference for you.

  • Another thing to consider, these phones having been probably stitting on the shelves for a year or so. Wont that mean the battery will degrade faster?

4s is unusable for many on 9. Definitely avoid if performance is that poor. Not worth nearly $300 for sure.

  • It's a joke that still to this day that Apple iPhones do not have removable storage for Micro SD card.

Are they waiting to develop a unique Apple memory card (just like Sony did with their Memory Stick Duo…) before they ever allow the world standard MicroSD cards? That way they lock in their consumers to their special product.
