Woolworths Mobile $30 Pre-Paid Starter Pack Half Price $15 + $2 Delivery, New Activations Pre 30th June Get 6GB. Online only

150

Woolworths Mobile are offering their $30 Starter Pack for half price at $15, plus $2 delivery. This is great value, plus if the SIM is activated before 30th June customers will get 6GB data in the first month! I've checked out the inclusions on the website and they are pretty good. The $30 plan for $15 includes;

  • 3GB + 3GB bonus data, so 6GB in first month
  • Unlimited SMS
  • $1,000 call value and free calls between Woolworths users.

It's also on the Telstra 4G and 3G network.

It doesn't have an end date but states, 'while stocks last.' The offer is online only and a maximum of 2 units per order can be placed.

Deal meant to last till may 31. Funny how it's now back in stock.

  • "$1,000 call value"
Does it mean that this can be used for calling other network provider and international call without using up the $30 credit?

    • There is no $30 credit. The cost is $30 which gives you $1000 call credit and 3 gigs of data to use within 30 days of activation. And yes you can use that $1000 to call internationally and other networks.

  • can I buy two, then port the same number from one Starter Pack over to the other Starter Pack? will that be a problem?

    • +6

No to the 1st question & yes to the 2nd.

  • No. You have to port out first and then port back

  • Hmm I have relative visiting for 10 days, this seems better than Optus $2 per day. Optus gives 500mb per day. Not sure about international calls include or not. This one equal to 600mb per day

  • is it available in store as well?

  • Wasn't this being sold for $1 a few days ago?

    • Yes but no longer available

  • sold out again even at $15. even missed out on this offer. back to the drawing board for a decent mobile plan.

    • What were you looking for specifically? I'm sure there would be something around for you.

If you wanted something for a month or so to port to/from then there is Amaysim Starter Pack Unlimited Talk, Text and 7GB Half Price $19.95 or Optus $30 starter pack for $10 @ Woolworths with 3GB data at the moment.

If you are looking for a good value plan long term, ALDIMobile is a good option and also on Telstra - $20/month 1.5GB data for example.

      • I was looking at the vaya 3gb for $26pm. I know alot of people aren't happy with vaya.
still currently on live connected 1.5gb for $22, but my wife uses the free social data at around 1gb, so I really need the 3gb to cover this.

didn't really want to spend more than $30 so the aldi $35 is out. maybe best just biting the bullet and getting the Woolworths.

        • Optus $30/month comes with 3GB data + free music streaming and it'll only be $10 for the first months if you grab a starter pack at Woolworths. Probably better option than Amaysim which is also 3GB for $30 and on Optus network (you could get that 7gb starter pack for $19.90 then downgrade the plan after a month). Only a few dollars extra a month for those 2 options if you want to avoid Vaya, or just pay full price for this Woolworths kit if Telstra over Optus is important to you and give up the cheap first month.

  • They're back in stock again

Kalatiola: So, due to all the system error that kept occuring, the management team and the IT team had to increase the price for the starter kit from $1 to $15 which is 50%off the original price, to avoid any future faults and system errors. We aplogies for the inconvenience cause but we are still in the process of getting our system fixed.

Yeah, they need some money for a better server. ;)

  • Has anyone received the $1 woolies $30 starter pack yet. I bought 2 on Sunday, but still no confirmation email .

  • Nothing so far..might be time to hassle them Monday if they've not arrived.

  • Got my woolies sim (from $1 deal), expiry date is 31/12/2017 so maybe its the same for this deal too.
