    Any way you want to slice it, that's a ripper deal on the Xbone, especially if you pick Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'm tempted to grab one at that price just so I don't have to wait til the end of the year for that game to come out on PS4.

      yep nice price. id go for forza 6 personally. far more replay value. can pick up ROTTR for like $30 on gumtree, play it and resell.

      All those choices are pretty good - Rare replay collection has 30 games in it and Gears of War Ultimate is still fun.

      We went to a Big W midnight sale launch once, in Blacktown, it was pretty crazy. We thought no-one would be there, but there was a HUGE crowd of nutty (fellow) bogans after the cheap consoles and jumping castles.

    the ps4 deal isn't as good as JBhifi's $399 ps4 1TB UC4 bundle(already gone) or costco $390 1TB bundle(membership req), but if you didn't get the jbhifi one or a costco membership card, it still might be a choice.

      Why would you update the deal with expired deals? what about when dick smith was closing and ps4s were $299. not as good as that deal either. if it's expired then you don't need to mention it.

        This deal was posted before JB's and costco's, and it was locked up after couple of hours. So instead of removing this deal after the unlock, I mentioned what other options there were during the lock-up and let people do the judgement themselves.

      The 2TB one coming soon. if you need the storage wait if not buy this one but hope you don't run out of space. games are usually 50 to 100gb with patches these days.

    I went to the midnight opening at Rouse hill big w. Many people there, big queue for it to open. Before this I heard from staff they would have 70 Xbone consoles. Had to line up while inside at the entertainment counter. Most people were buying xboxes.

      Forza has replay value, but Tomb Raider looks freaking gorgeous! I found the environments really beautiful. TR doesn't have much replay, except to get all the collectables, but it's a fun story to ride along with.

    I went to the midnight opening of Big W in Noarlunga SA. They had none of the expensive Star Wars kits on sale. No Avengers carrier kit. Disappointing lack of stock. It's not that the stock was already sold out, as they didn't have it on display the day before either.

      I went to my local last night at Eastgardens NSW and all the big sets were kept out the back and had to be requested from the staff. The ghostbusters one was gone in seconds. Managed to score an xbox also. They had plenty of consoles but only had 3 minecraft games on hand so they were taking names to be put on hold.

    Anyone finding some of the games are sold out - take the catalogue to EB or JB. They'll match big W advertised prices with no questions in most cases. Might be harder to get them to match the XB1 bundle though haha.

      Last time I asked EB to pricematch JB (the JB is just next to EB at Canberra Centre), the staff's face just turned black and did the price matching very unwillingly…..Though no question.
