I applied the promo code. It says first ride is free up to $25 thanks to Westpac and Uber. Doesn't say you have to leave from Westpac. You're misunderstanding the title.

I was saving this until tonight, its been sitting there in my ubereats promotion section as a $25 credit, went to use it tonight and boom, the app totally ignored it.
Guess it will stay there until it finally expires as there doesn't seem to be any way to use it.

How do we know if the code will be applied?
Is it when placing the booking or when payment is about to be made to the driver?
when the code is present in ur account, it will be used first when you submit ur booking. you will be charged the difference at the time of booking. therefore payment is made when you order. tip: you can schedule a future ride to test if coupon is valid. if it is not valid, then the coupon will be cancelled.
