FREE: St John Ambulance Click-To-Save Online First Aid Course with Certificate

2080

It has been over 2yrs since this was posted so just a reminder for those who didn't know or time for a refresher course. It is a very important skill to have and if this helps save just one life, then the course has done it's job. This first aid course will provide you with an essential reference to help to identify the first aid appropriate in an emergency.

Quick and easy to do. Just register, do the course and exam. You can even print out your certificate if that tickles your fancy!

Please note that this isn't a replacement for the accredited course you need for certain occupations, but is a tool to help everyone being able to possibly save a life in the case of emergency. In the event of an emergency, always make sure someone calls '000' as well.

It was developed in WA, but anyone can do it. Being online and all..

      • I think they should change the description on the web site because the course is online so not restricted to WA.

        Is it in WA English?

        Is there a NSW version?

Voted, because this is important. It's a small commitment that could save a life… maybe even a family member's life.

A phone is not a medical device

Even better join your Rural fire service and get an actual first aid qualification

How much time do you have to devote per week/month to the service as a member?

      • Honestly Nada and it makes you more employable. Plus perks

Not sure about RFS but with SJA, it's 60 hours of attending events a year. They do a lot of events like easter show, music festivals, marathons, new years eve etc.

You need an apply first aid certificate to join. After the paperwork has gone through, you start with stage 1 where you get training with the radio, revision of basic first aid, proper documentation methods and so on. Stage 2 you complete advanced first aid training, pain management training and you end up as a full member with a Cert II in emergency medical service first response (don't know if they still hand these out). Once you have full qualifications, there's more courses you can do such as ambulance driving, leadership, radio dispatcher, cert III (more advanced first aid) and so on.

There's 2 hour meetings every week at night(some optional, some mandatory because of training). Joining the RFS or SJA is great. They'll provide all your training for free so long as you are committed to events and regular meetings. I encourage people to join not for the training but the experience gained.

Thanks OP just completed the course.

    • Now for a deal on motor oil or coolant, slick up an off-camber bend and wait…

  • Thanks. will complete

  • I was looking forward to refreshing this course two months ago. Groovy it's back as free.
As I commute on highways, streets, roads, go out to country roads, could come in handy if ever someone needed first aid and / or reassurance before the hard working professionals arrive.

  • why is the clicktosave site so sloooOOoOoOooooOooooow?
    Has this been OZBargained?

    • 😂 cut it out, it ain't that fast…

  • Can I put this on my résumé?

I guess no one stops you from doing that but it may or may not satisfy the requirement of a job description, if there is one, to have a nationally accredited course. Nevertheless it is good to have it. You can save someone's life :)

  • It is a very meaningful course. The certificate is a bonus. What a good bargain!

  • Thanks OP, registered, attended and passed the course.

  • Thanks OP! its really meaningful.

Thanks again OP. I used this last week when someone fainted on the bus.

Put them in the recovery position and made sure their airway was clear until the ambulance arrived.

Luckily I didn't have to perform CPR. :x
