    Thanks tighty

O.o Why not submit post when it's actually ready and complete? Is it so anyone else who post a completed list a couple mins after this post will be removed as dupe?

    • +8

TA is pretty competitive, and this look like a "I got in first" placeholder.
I'm guessing he's setting the specials out in a table, so they're readable.
Probably should have put some of the items in the post along with the "will update post with full list in around 30 minutes"

anyway he does great work so we'll just have to sit back & wait for the update & specials to roll in!

      • +5

Tables are good. Though I personally prefer looking at the actual catalogue (online or not).

Imagine if every deal post had "will update post with full list in around 30 minutes"!

lol, our comments removed, yet we were in the right.

        • +4

Yeh. I think our comments were only removed because it fell under nocures comment thread, unfortunately he decided to unpublish his comment, thus removing ours too. I guess I would do the same thing if I wrote something stupid and regretful.

        • @Ughhh: it's really annoying how some are abusing the removal of comments.

Especially some of the big posters who want to protect their image. It was two posters who requested the removal btw.

          @GameChanger:
So true. As soon as I responded, they totally knew what they said was wrong and didn't want any of their fan boys/girls too witness what they truely are like.

        • @Puska: Yep spot on, I seen this happen multiple times! The worst part they come back and neg the comments without giving a reason.

Submit a post for coles specials next week now with "will update post with full list in around 7 days" to get in first

      • -1

        Exactly!

Who cares about first, especially when you're posting in so many days advance.

    • +3

No point having two people submit a post that takes 30 min to edit and format. At least this way the later poster won't be halfway through theirs before realising it's already been done.

  • Is the coconut water come " fresh" in the coconut fruit or is it from a can?

    • +2

      Neither, it's fresh from a carton… ;)

TA will let you know in 30 minutes;)

    Majans Bhuja Mix

Hope this applies to the cashew bags which are exclusive to Coles. I love those, I'd buy a whole damn box/crate/pallet/warehouse of them.

    • +1

Ha! Sounds like you really like them
I think I bought some of those a little while ago, I recall enjoying them

    Majans Bhuja Mix $1.92

woolies was this last week, good to know its still half price.

I picked up a Philips BDP-1300 Blu Ray player for the in-laws today at Coles for $39.20 (reduced from a low more).
    I thought I'd mention it.

    • Last year Coles sold Philips bluray player for $60 then $40 then $20 then finally for $10 iirc but I didn't buy it coz I didn't need.

I tried gyoza and it wasn't good :( but I love bhuja mix!!

    • Yep, it was just mush inside, couldn't taste any prawn at all.

      • +1

Good to know, Ill give it a miss and spend my $ on bhuja instead. Mmmm Bhuja.

    • That's interesting, we had the Gyoza last time and found them really tasty! Would recommend and I'll definitely be going back to get some more. I used the pan-fried method.

      • I've had them before and they've been great. I just bought them this time around and agree they are just full of mush. I'm going to throw the rest of the packet out, disappointed.

  • iTunes gift cards are already 20% off at Officeworks. Higher amounts are 25% off.

  • KB's Prawn Gyoza 1kg $10.00

Nice. Even Asian stores sell this stuff for $16~$20 per bag.

    • Costco never go lower that 13 bucks with these. How are you guys cooking them?

      • they can get to 9.99 if they are one of the on sale coupon items. bought before at that price. Pan fry is the best, careful of the oil splash. Makes the bottom nice and crispy. Mhmmmm. I love the taste of these.

      • I saw this on YouTube on how Chinese people cook their dumpling in a healthy way. Take a non stick pan with a lid, add a bit of water (3cm high), put your frozen dumpling in (base down), close lid, only open when cooked after 3 mins or so. Base will be crispy

I tried this method and had success, and with these Coles dumplings too. Healthier than frying, gonna stock up!!

        • But pan-fried is nicer I think.

  • OPtus prepaid starter kits - is $10 good price for $30 kit or does it go lower than that as well?

    • +3

they were down to $5 at xmas but that was a one off (as were the telstra ones). $15 is the norm when they go on sale, $10 is probably as good as it'll get for little while.

  • OP thank you so much. You rock

    • Oliving Twiggy Sticks $15.00/kg

Aren't these permanently "on special"? I see this price every single time i go to the deli counter and it seems to be at the expense of any other worthwhile deli specials… grrr! At what point do specials stop being special? Who even eats twiggy sticks ffs?

    Oh and thanks TA.

  • SFC Sticky Toffee Bourbon Chicken Wings

    Oh. My. God.

  • I tried the Majans Bhuja for the first time this week. What a taste sensation. Can definitely feel an addiction in the making. I'm convinced I must look like a busy squirrel eating these.

  • Not sure why the catalogue doesn't have it but just bought some Ferrero Rocher T30 pack for half price in my local store (Murwillumbah NSW). The Coles online shop lists the T16 pack for $6.30 instead of $13.86 http://shop.coles.com.au/online/nsw-regional-murwillimbah/fe….
