Usually the stuff on sale at Dan Murphy's (cheap beer and ciders) are absolute garbage! I got some "Cider brewed in the style of beer", and I wouldn't wish the taste on my worst enemy! It had all the bad elements of beer taste, with all the bad elements (the sweet sugary taste) of cider
I remember that stuff, it was awful. Absolutely disgusting.
Bought 6 of these to try from the previous OzB post. All I can say is that some people like it but I can't for the life of me work out why. It is as far from a beer taste as you can get. My take is that if you want a shandy simply add lemonade to your beer in whatever amount you prefer. This is just a very weird product imo, but at $1 it might be worth a try. It is not particularly sweet if that's a concern. I'd give it a 3/10. Some stock was very close to the BB date, so watch out.

They are a shandy, so basically taste like lemon drink.

Could be a light, refreshing drink when you don't want a full strength beer. Nothing wrong with that IMHO.

These style drinks were a fad in England last year after the summer they were giving them away too just doesn't work.
Honestly, it's pretty refreshing stuff. Don't ever think it'd be possible to drink enough to feel anything unless you're a two drink tipsy of course. Light beer flavour, good bit of lemon, reasonably balanced.

I didn't miss the qualifier. This stuff has a brewed flavour but any reference to "beer" is grossly misplaced imo. It is what it is, and as I said above some people actually like it as a change.
