Crucial BX200 240GB SSD $74.40 Delivered @ Futu eBay

910
CLICK20

Another nice price drop by Futu. From comments in previous posts for this drive, not the fastest on the market. Still, it's cheaper than previous best and bang for buck, probably the best value SSD on the market. Enjoy :)

    I approve. I have the 500 version as a games/programs ssd and it's fantastic! Think I'll get this for my server as an os drive.

    Cheers, cant pass it up at this price ~ getting one for my laptop and one for my PC

    Would be nice to buy something off Futu, but I bought a couple USB drives a week ago and they have limits… asked them if I could be exempt (a 3k feedback ebayer) and nope…

    What a stupid company.

    • +7

      so they want all customers to have a fair go instead of a few people buying up all their stock cuz its cheap and you call them stupid?

      • +1

        So you buy 2 USB sticks, and you can't buy anything else off their thousands of products within the next 10 days? How's that buying all their stock?

        Did I say I was going to buy 50 SSDs?

        • +1

          really? was this through ebay? didnt know you can enforce such limits on ebay

          @dabell:

          Yes, NFI why I'm being negged.

          They even suggested to create another ebay account to get around it.

          That's ridiculous.

          I fully agree, limit someone buying a lot of the SAME item, but I went to buy a M.2 SSD, now tried a 8TB Hard Drive, and still can't buy it.

        • @scuderiarmani:

          Yeah bit surprised you got negged too, don't worry, couple of people getting a tuffy by negging an opinion that holds water….as I do agree with what you are saying. turning away business in today's cuthroat markets, especially a regular customer……. craaaaaaaaaaaazyy

          @TilacVIP:
          It's more than a couple, some positives have cancelled it back out, multiple times :)

          For them to suggest to create another ebay account just proves the stupidity of it all IMO.

          Could you imagine Target saying sorry you bought something last week, come back next week…

          Sure block me if I added 50 to my cart, I'd fully support that. But around 10 days later I choose to buy something else, and I can't? Weird.

          @scuderiarmani:

          I bought 4 SSDs from them in 4 separate order in the last 2 days. Haven't heard anything about a limit from them at all. I think the CLICK20 limitation is set by eBay instead of Futu, so they probably can't do much about it.

        • @systema:
          For some reason you are exempt, and I'm not. I'm guessing it's cause I haven't bought before, but this is definitely not an ebay CLICK20 limitation if you can get through. It's them blocking buyers.

          Having said that, if you have done 4, how? isn't there a 3 transaction limit?

        • @scuderiarmani:

          I used a different email address for the last order but with the same postal details. Didn't seem to bother them at all.

    • Isn't this an eBay limitation rather than Futu's? (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though)

      • Conveniently the limitation would be removed come just after the sale period, maybe you are right. I can't be the only person here encountering this problem given the volume of Futu deals. Seems incredibly backward thinking regardless who is at fault.

        • +1

          there is a $1000 ebay limit on the amount of click20's you can redeem.
          Maybe you've bought some high proced items elsewhere that pushed you over ?

          EDIT: dabell found it, max 3 per click20's per account

        • @birnie:

          2 USB Drives, same transaction. Got them for $60 I believe (Samsung 64gb). Haven't bought anything else.

          No where near the limits. That to me says it's a seller introduced limitation.

  • well the 20% off deal does say 3 transactions per person

    • That would be split up between orders, but to block buying off 1 seller multiple times suggests they have the limit. I'm pretty sure it gives you the option when selling to block bidders who have bought multiple times off you.

      Where it's even sillier, is I have left +ve feedbacy already for the 2 USB sticks. So that transaction is all safely completed anyway.

  • Thanks, perfect timing

  • Thanks. Got 2. will see later how I can use them

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks got 1

  • Perfect. I needed a new drive for Windows To Go.

  • 7mm?

  • From a quick search, yes 7mm

    • thanks. i had a quick search from the ebay description. it stated 7 to 9.5mm. :(

      • Someone correct me if i am wrong but the drive itself is 7mm. It may come with a bracket the give it a height of 9.5mm for some older laptops that have a 9.5mm sata connector??

  • Damn this is cheap… tell me why i dont need one… :-(

    • +1

      ….. crickets….

  • What's the difference between this and MX200?

  • Got two of these for my laptop in the last moment and will connect them RAID 0. Cheaper than the EVO 850 500gb and way way faster than any single SSD.
