When this costs less to manufacture and ship to me from China than it costs me to post a letter to my nan in the next suburb, you know Australia's postal system is inherently broken.

I've actually heard that the way postage works is that Australia post has to deliver all stuff from overseas at Australia's expense and vice versa. But a lot more stuff comes into Australia than goes out, so they have to recoup those costs with the charges they place on us when sending mail domestically or internationally from here.
