They are a Brisbane base company with no overseas call center which is a nice change and my service was set up in a week! Also they said there is no fee to switch over to NBN when it is rolled out in my area. Sorry if I have put my post up incorrect still quiet new to all this :)

  • Just did a quick comparison to my current plan with Exetel. They don't seem any cheaper? Nothing here seemed to stand out as a bargain.

    • How's the internet quality of Exetel?
Would you recoomend it over tpg or iinet?

Would you recoomend it over tpg or inept?

As long as you have no need for the internet during peak periods….Exetel its great =)

        • Hahaha :)

  • Thanks OP. Price for NBN seems competitive enough. Never heard of them b4. Will have to look up how their service quality is like.

    • Hi Mugsy. Feel free to give us a call on 1800 053 250 for more information. Hope to speak to you soon. Buzz Telco.

joining fees might be a dealbreaker. $148 joining fee month to month. Otherwise, locked into a contract.

    • It's a $99 joining fee. You're looking at the minimum amount of a one month contract which is $99 + $49 (one month's connection) = $148.

      From their website:

Total Minimum Costs are calculated as: (contract length) * (monthly charge) + (setup fee). Early termination fees may apply.

      1GB of Included Downloads = 1,000MB.

Set up Fees: $99 for No Contract, $49 for 12 Month Contract and $0 for 24 Month Contract.

    • Hi edshays. You are correct, however our contracts are a little different. Our contracts are with the person and not with the address. If you decide to move, it's simply a $50 transfer fee and we move the service to the new address. If we are unable to service that address, we waive the contract. We don't charge you fees to break a contract and start a new one if you are moving house. If you are going on an extended holiday overseas for example, we suspend the account and re activate it when you're back. Our contracts have a little more flexibility, so that our customers don't feel "Locked in." We are more than happy to assist and answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to email us on [email protected] or contact us by phone on 1800 053 250. Hope to speak to you soon, Buzz Telco.

      Joining fee is not attractive

  • 12mbps seems really slow for an NBN service. What if I want to watch five full-length movies in the same household at the same time?

    • +1

Then you sign up to a plan at a faster speed…

    • +4

      People don't need higher speeds
disclaimer: yes, taken completely out of context

      • +1

Like I said though it's about movies, not the economy.

    • +4

Nonsense my good man, why Philosopher Prince of Broadband Malcom Turnbull says 12Mbit is all you could ever need.

Aren't you glad we have a complete ****ing moron working for Telstra as Prime Minister?

You should be more worried about what happens when you want to watch 2 movies at the same time. Or just one in 4K. The ****ing moron only cares about giving Telstra money for their copper infrastsructure, nothing else. Certainly he does not care about Australia having good internet, he would rather give billions of dollars to Telstra. That's what the actions show and you'd be a fool if you listened to any politician because they're professional liars.

        • hehe

pity nbn is not available in my area, otherwise i'd get that 25/5 plan. hmmm their adsl is not available in my area either :S

        • @CVonC: Hi there. Please feel free to send us an email to [email protected] with your address so we can do a more in depth search for you. Hope to speak to you soon. Buzz Telco.

        • This error has now been rectified. Thank you for pointing it out. Buzz Telco.

  • Well I am in Perth WA so we have ADSL2 only at the moment and there are only a handful of suburbs that have NBN and because we are in WA get charged excess cost by most of the Telcos like Extel and TPG and these guys said to me what you see is what you get no matter where I am so was pretty happy with that. I have been with Belong, Ausbbs, Westnet and Extel and dont have a nice word to say about any of them especially the sell outs who now have overseas call centers so was happy to speak to someone in Australia. I am pretty happy with my ADSL speeds they are the same as when I was with the other telcos. I also liked the fact that when NBN comes into my area they wave the transfer costs as I was quoted a fee with Westnet.

  • WOW! Thanks for sharing Janeswaz. We're excited to have you on board. Our website has now been updated with our competitive pricing. If you're interested in finding out more information, or have any questions, Please feel free to give us a call on 1800 053 250

  • I require a plan which I can suspend now and then. Do you guys offer such service? I have a premise where I only internet when there are family members visiting.

    • Hi mysrh. The best option we can provide you is a month to month plan. This is available with a set up fee involved. The set up fee depends on which service you require. For more information, please feel free to contact our sales team on 1800 053 250. Kind Regards, Buzz Telco.
