These guys are running out of ideas. Rather than giving 1 month free, they give $50 in such an indirect way.

Sorry for any confusion- this is a cashback offer covered 100% by InternetChoice.com.au and not an offer from iPrimus directly.

    • Bit of fun..
Got a call from iPrimus yesterday:

Her: "What is your internet speed..umm I mean how many GB you got"
Me "ummm… 1 Terabyte" (Confused whether she wanted to know data allowance or speed.
      Her: "So sorry, thats slow.."
Me: "I am a tourist here.. Bye"

their customer service is terrible i signed up on a similar deal took 3 months and about 30 phone calls to get my $50 credit.
will be leaving one my 12 months is up.

    • Was this with iPrimus or are you referring to InternetChoice.com.au?

Sorry should have clarified it was Iprimus

          Thanks Steve. Appreciate it.

    • 3 months + 30 phone calls ! I thought the recent Canon printer cashback promotion is bad enough. 2 months and still nothing. But these guys are even worse.

  • Also just to confirm, you will need to click on the plan link on Internet Choice and once directed to iPrimus you will fill in the "Register Your Interest" form. Once iPrimus calls you and you signup over the phone you will qualify for the cashback offer.

    Cheers.

    • And once you sign-up over the phone, they will deny any cashback offer and ask you to deal with the middleman directly.

      • Yes as mentioned this is a cashback offer by Internet Choice- not iPrimus directly. All cashback communication will be directly with us.

  • Is there a reason you're offering this for Primus only?

I think people prefer good internet speeds and customer service rather than $50….maybe that's just me.

Avoid IPrimus. My in-laws are with them and (amongst other issues) their IPrimus mailbox size is 50mb (yes 50mb, there no zeros missing)
They get about 25 emails before they need to delete stuff.
When I spoke to the service desk saying that this may have been an OK limit for 1998, I was told that "that's what it is and nothing can be done about it."
They are now moving to gmail and another provider
(I realise that they could have just moved to gmail, but they were very reluctant to change address having had it for many years. It is just a reflection of IPrimus not giving a crap about their users)

    • Could setup a mail forward with the ISP email maybe? 50mb is crazy.

      • Yea, they have to pay about $15 a month to have it redirected (because they didn't listen to me and start migrating across before their contract ran out)
Re. 50mb……I know, I couldn't believe it. I had to make them repeat it about 3 times :/

  • Hi Rep, I signed up TPG NBN service as per last month deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/253183
But I haven't got my cashback. I also emailed you twice through contact form, no reply yet.

    • Hi Durant,

Could you message me your username and I will look into this for you.

      Cheers.

      • Thanks rep! I just received the cashback!

Please specify that you get a commission for each sale (and possibly on going)

    • Hi Fruit,

Yes we receive a commission on sales processed through our site of which we pass on $50 to new customers.

      Cheers.
