      Better optics, sensors: accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, Proximity Sensor. Control buttons. Focus adjust.
      I suppose the sensors might be somehow better than the ones in your phone??

        Optics, buttons, and focus yes. The rest are built into your phone.

          The gear VR has a USB connector, and built-in sensors. Not sure why. Older phones may lack gyro.

      Titles are all fairly expensive but it's a new platform so I guess that's to be expected. Personally I've bought Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (which is just MADE for VR) and Esper (which has the same feel as Portal). Would also recommend Streetview VR which is great, and the Netflix app is also good. Everything would be much better once Samsung starts releasing phones with 4K displays (i.e. Daydream-compatible) but for now it's not bad.

    Looks like this will be superseded by the new Note7 Gear VR headset which has just been announced @ the Note7 launch event! Hence probs why it's getting heavily discounted. New headset is backwards compatible with older Gear VR compatible Samsung phones! Would wait for new headset IMHO! Cheers
