  • Quickly pop into 7-11 this morning and bought 3 sandwiches. It's morning break now and just found out all 3 used by date are 30/8/2016.

Should I still eat them? 2 ham and cheese and 1 bacon and eggs. Zzz

Everyone please at least check the dates when buying them. I will next week!

Includes $7 sandwiches!!!woohoo i just told in store

    • Awesome! I've always avoided them as I thought they weren't part of the sale.

But now that they are, does anyone know what's good from the $7 range?

    • Thanks.. I'll try for a 3 pack $7 one and see if it is $2 as well. That can be tomorrow's meal. haha

great for. a cheap date in the park

    • +2

Why go the park when you can just eat them out the front of the 7-11?

      • Could eat at the 7-Eleven to make it the cheapest dine in experience around.

Worth noting too last time I bought a sandwich there the attendant told me the condiments are complimentary and to fill up my pockets.

actually good sandwiches, went out on my morning break and got a schnitzel one and egg/lettuce, both tasty sangas. i disliked the normal chicken/lettuce though - had bits of gristle… defs going in early next weds again :)

    • +1

Yeah I found the chicken lettuce one too salty aswell for my liking

      Egg one is the best!

The south Yarra store was sold out by 8AM. Surely they knew in advance the demand this sale would attract.

    • I just bought 5 at my local 7-11, there were still tons left. Not sure your experience warrants a neg vote

    • Melbourne High kids capitalising on a cheap lunch? I used to buy a $2 sandwich there back in the day on the way to school.

I vote up, but also respect other users negative feedback based on experience.

  • Just smashed a couple. They're a bit salty. There is bugger all avo in the chicken avo.The wraps were ok though.

  • Hi guys, I went to about three 7/11's for $7.00 (reduced to $2/-) sandwitch, but none of them had them, they are only stocking the egg sandwitch and egg and bacon then ham and cheeese, disappointing.
I wanted the beef and pickle one, which sells for $7/-. NO LUCK!

My local 7/11 had the $7 chicken Parma

Hate to admit it but their sandwiches are honestly pretty good for the money / convenience.

Wynyard was just all ham cheese (& tomato) …. although that was at 3pm…

Hey guys, it's Wednesday tomorrow, who's excited? I'm super bummed I can't get these because I'm leaving in the morning on a holiday to three countries for a month. Gutted that the deal will be over when I get back, fml :/

    • k?

    • I was excited but the ham and cheese they are substituting are pretty mediocre.
Bet they threw a lot out too, I checked 3 stores and the sandwich fridges were fully stocked at 6pm but with all ham and cheese.

  • Any truth to the prisoners making 711 sandwiches rumour?

    • they get paid in sandwiches instead of eating crappy prison food

    • Interesting. I haven't - how does it work?

  • Great toasted!
    Also $2 soups as well?

  • Damn it why now? It's school holiday! Would have made a lot of mums and kids happy. Imagine a different sandwich to take to school each day for $2…

Oh wait! Every Wednesday until end of September… so it's only for ONE day?!

    • The link comes up every Wednesday automagically. You can see the post date was in August.
