  • TRS possible?
if any issues who to look for?

    • +3

No, it's a grey import so no gst.

      • Even though the company supplys you with a invoice containing a abn?

        • do you know if the invoice has GST breakdown? if, so then TRS will work. TRS just needs a tax invoice with company name, abn, gst component listed & customer details.

        • Correct, if you don't pay GST on it, you can't claim GST back.

  • +1

Don't think TRS applies to these.

    *edit: as jesseboy mentioned.

  • Damn, i just bought that Moto G4 deal from Amzon UK as gift for my dad….if knew about this would have bought this for myself and given dad my zenfone!

……DAMN you "fathers day"! (Shakes fist)

  • +1

Dam it could have held off from the previous sales lol

  • +3

got the s7 from them from last sale, they shipped quite fast but the seal is broken.

    • which shop did you get it from?

    • Ordered from last deal as well but my seal wasn't broken

      • +2

Neither was mine. I ordered from Mobileciti. Pay a bit more to get peace of mind.

This video shows how chinese managed to turn a refurbished phone into "sealed" new product.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JR0CP_8K2k

        • I was hoping for peace of mind also and just got my S7 from the last Mobileciti deal today, but my seal was broken.

They claim it happened during shipping due to the 'easily broken' seals that Samsung are using these days. I'm not sure whether to trust them on that or return it for a refund.

So now I've got the worst of both worlds - paid extra for peace of mind but may just have an expensive grey import or refurbished unit.

I really need the phone and it was a good price (assuming it is Australian stock), so don't know whether to return it or keep it. I've opened a forum post to hopefully get some good advice from people who have dealt with Mobileciti in the past…

        • @slackarse:
Actually this is my second s7. My partner took my first one, as she likes is more than her good old iphone 5c. I have to buy another s7 for myself. First one I bought TGG during 20% ebay sales, and the second one mobileciti last sale. Both came with seal intact, and I can tell you for sure, that those seal are not easily broken during shipment. In fact, for the second one, I have to use a knife to cut open the seal, as my penknife was a bit blunt and I can pierce the seal.

The box will have to be very damaged during shipment in order for the seal to be broken in my opinion. I haven't seen the picture of your seal, but I believe you can tell, whether the seal was torn during shipment or cut open intentionally.

Also, when I received my phone from mobileciti, they were wrapped in bubble wrap tightly(they did well in packaging), and I can't see how is it possible for the seal to be broken during shipment without the bubble wrap burst.

        • @ausdday:
Thanks for the reply. The seal does look torn or frayed rather than cut, however I can't see how that could have happened during shipping as it was tightly wrapped in bubble wrap and there is no significant damage to the box or packaging when I picked it up. It's not like the seals are made of tissue paper, and using this explanation for the broken seal has actually raised my suspicion a bit, but I don't know whether to give them the benefit of doubt or send it back. Obviously they are selling some sealed units, maybe I just got unlucky?

        • @slackarse:

I believe some places open phones, put a local sim in and turn it on/activate it for a few minutes to bypass the region lock that Samsung put on their phones.

Have a read of the green text at the bottom of this page for example - https://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge

        • @tight-ass:
Thanks for the info but I don't think it is relevant in this case. The phone was advertised as 'brand-new, unused, unopened, …' and 'Australian Stock', so it shouldn't have been necessary to open it for any reason, and I really can't see how the seal could have torn by itself during shipping.

I think I'm going to return the phone as I didn't receive what I paid for. I'm really annoyed at the hassle and the fact I don't have the phone any more but I'm not willing to take the risk on it.

        • @slackarse:

Sorry I accidentally responded to you. My response was directed at 'whatadeal'

      • Same….just ordered another one off them today as well.

    • +1

Heck I got mine from telstra and the seal was broken. No fingerprints or anything on it so ehhh

    • If this make you slightly better, "Sealed package doesn't always mean brand new."

  • Again missed out on the pink S7 edge :( Before I can add the voucher code, it got removed from my card :(

How fast do I need to be!

  • Are those HK grey imports very different to local ones?

  • +3

This is a steal , S7 Edge for only $670 . But my S6 is still working fine….

    • +2

Same here….my current one is still working, but I've noticed that scratch mark on the Screen Protector is making my G4 slower.

  • Ordered! Thanks

  • Please be aware that depending on their suppliers, you might receive an open box item (with a "random check" sticker on top of the original Samsung seal).

  • Will wait till s7 edge touches $500. Should be soon

    • $655 is an amazing price tbh, I'm chuffed

      • you are right. no doubt in that. but just remembering my last purchase of S5 (same 20% off ebay deal) 2 years ago in October for $480, so I am gonna stick to that price for S7Edge. ;-)

        • +2

          inflation.

    • +4

The s8 will be out by then. If you never want the latest and greatest then it's fine but right now that title belongs to the s7 edge.

      • when S8 is coming I thought next year probably. not this year!

  • Ordered. Thanks!!!

  • Which one will work on all bands on Australlia, especially Telstra network..dual sim necessary here?

    • +2

G935FD is the best bet…..it's compatible with all of Telstra's frequency's - wife and I both have one and we're with Telstra.

Its a dual sim, however you don't need to use both SIMS, just use it as you would every other phone and only put 1 sim and 1 SD card in it.

    • I wish they have dual sim silver.

      • +1

who care what color, you would usually put protector cover on dont you?

  • +1

Ordered 1 as well, Cheapest i seen!

  • +1

For some reason the link for this deal doesn't actually show all of the Samsung Galaxy S7E's - it's missing the 2 G935FD models listed below which are for the black and silver:

    Black - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Edge-S7-G935FD-4G-…
    Silver - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Edge-S7-G935FD-4G-…

FYI - I ordered a S7E from Shoppingsquare a couple of weeks ago and it only took about 3 business days to arrive.

    • +2

Thanks nicely found, managed to get a link that includes them now.

      • Just about gone now anyway :)

  • Can find the S7 dual sim in Silver. Are they already gone?

  • Does anyone have a contact no for shopping square?

  • Increase the prices by 100 bucks just now.

  • They were cleaned up quick lol.

  • I am after S7 G930FD in SIlver or white.
Any chance of getting them back?

  • =( nooooooooo

  • Did not bite as could not confirm coupon worked till you commit :(

    D

    • +4

Add the cart to see if coupon works you dont need to commit

  • +3

Wasn't lucky enough to catch the previous Shopping Square deal but now have a bit more luck.

Beat other two guys for 30 seconds and managed to place the order for S7 Edge single sim. $655 for a new S7 edge…even used phone is selling dearer on ebay…

Closed cashrewards and ebay then came back to see the item and all colour and all S7 and Edge stock were gone…Ozbargainers are truly amazing.

    Thanks for the post!!!

    • Good buy. Choose single sim over dual sim and can use the diff to buy phone case unless you really need dual sim.

      • Good advice on case…thanks.

Thought about dual sim version for oversea trips but it seems SD card has to be removed before fitting the second sim in. [One phone with two sims and small storage] VS [one phone with big storage + an Alcatel with the 2nd sim], I'd pick the latter. :)

        • Dual sim might be good for travelling but need to consider that it can drain battery quicker when both sim cards are installed.

  • Meh…price increased..not supporting such merchant

  • +2

    Missed out again!

    • me too and i was waiting for this one to show up again :(

      • Same

  • Have you checked the paypal receipt you get after placing the order? I managed to put in an order for the pink S7 edge with the CSUN20 code for 20% off, but when I saw the receipt, I was charged the full price. Even my credit card transaction was showing the full price charged.

I ended up contacting shopping square and they told me not all of their stores are included. Thankfully they cancelled my order and gave me a full refund.

    • +2

My paypal receipt is for $671.20 and checking my account shows the same.

      • Did you ordered the pink s7 edge?

        • No, I got a black one.

        • @wombat1955: Great. Lucky you. I wanted a pink one for the wife, and it was coming up as $687.20 but my transaction showed $859 paid.

        • @Austin 316: Good to hear they did the right thing by you and refunded the purchase.

  • Not just galaxy s7's, they have pulled all the phones, not a single phone for sale on their ebay store.

Unbelievable. ShoppingSquare just cancelled my paid for Samsung S7 Edge order. What a way to avoid filling orders-

This is regarding your recent purchase of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge G935FD 4G 32GB Black

We regret to inform you that due to an unexpected stock cancellation we are unable to fulfill this order and unfortunately we have not been able to source the item from other suppliers either.

Hence we have reversed your order and sent a full refund request to our Accounts department for authorization. Please be advised that it can take a few working days for the payment to transfer in your PayPal account.

Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Anyone else in the same situation?

    • Same. Not happy.

    • Exactly the same and about perhaps the same time if this happened approx. 10 mins ago. We can surely complain about this somehow and to someone?

    • +5

same here, extremely unhappy. Already purchased accessories for the phone and now it got cancelled! We really need to complain about this.

      • +2

I was doing the same ref. purchasing accessories for the phone.

I bet their stock situation will magically fix itself after the Ebay promotion ends.

Surely this goes against Ebays T&C's for Sellers to not list items for which they have no stock (not just talking about a single items but multiple items) or for the seller to avoid providing stock since it would seem the majority of orders were/are being cancelled.

        • Any email address we can all complain to? I thought Shopping Square has good names here. Even if they plan to dishonor the deals, they can at least offer some gesture of compensations, not just a cold, plain email.

I'd say we all stick together and go against this shop on OzBargain.

        • 'm in the same boat guys, just got the email from them saying it's a no go. And Bow the price is $850

        • +1

@doubletoplei: Shopping Square is currently banned here on OzBargain.
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/shoppingsquare.com.au

      • My accessories just got shipped today. Not happy either.

        What options do we have?

    • +2

This is bullshit. I bought it within 5 minutes of the Ebay sale starting.

It is still for sale on their website at a higher price - http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_418636_Samsung_Galaxy_S7_…

      • +1

I am with you. I paid at 10:45 yesterday and was listed the first buyer of the phone ever since the deal started.

      • Bought it pretty quick as well. Can we go complain to the ACCC? Will that do anything?

      • Looks like it wasn't within 5 minutes like I recalled, but still wasn't slow.

      • yeah same, bought at 10:30am, and nothing.

    • same here , sad about that

    • Same here, not happy, got my order cancelled tonight as well.
If they cancelled straight away or on the same day I wouldn't have been so pi$$sed.
But to do it now is extremely disappointing.
I've purchased accessories etc. for the phone as well.

    • same thing happened to me too.

  • +6

Apparently we have gathered enough anger here on orders being cancelled for no reason (and everyone probably knows the reason)

Other than complaining in the thread, can we actually do anything about it? I bet we have legal people somewhere here (Or maybe they are too rich for OzBargain?) Any suggestions?

    1. Complain to Ebay and get the shop punished?
    2. Complain to OzBargain and get the shop blacklisted\banned?
    3. Complain to ACCC or other authorities?

Do we have to save evidences on the availability of the s7/s7 edge from their website?
