I did google search for AWA company , here is the link

  • This is not a digital TV as far as I can see.

      I bought one today
there are digital as well as analogue tuner .
In the box written " Buit in Analogue & Standard Definition Digital Tuner "

      • how is the reception with the supplied antenna, also can you tell what resolution the screen is?

        • +3

          800x600

      • Thanks for sharing, it's tempting, and thanks for confirming it picks up digital tv.

So how's the quality (not that I'd be expecting much for $148 :p )

Does it come with an AC power source?

        • +3

Yes, it comes with AC power , remote, headphone, about 1,5 meters wired digital antenna , Cheers !

  • Does it hane a DVB-T tuner? there is nothing mentioned in the specifications.

    • +3

Yes it is DVB-T in the spec.

  • analog TV is going useless soon, so is this unit if it's a analog TV!

(only way to extend analog TV is to add in a STB, but this so called "portable unit analog TV" will be quite useless without a STB around?)

unless…it's a DTV as mention on the web site?

    Model T2102B

  • Any chance it has video and audio inputs? That's what I'm looking for!

    • +3

Yes it has video-audio and PC input

      • Thanks for the reply mate. Very useful. Any chance you could tell me a bit more about the connectors? Does it have RCA inputs? How many? If you're really feeling like going over the top, a picture would be awesome!

I do video production, and I'm looking for something lightweight and portable to use as a field monitor. Running the output from my camera to the monitor while I shoot.

I would also be very interested in real world battery performance. Assuming it's only an hour or two?

        Cheers. Positive from me.

        • Another question sorry…

If the screen res is 800x600, is the screen aspect ratio 4:3 too? How does it display wide screen content?

          Cheers.

          • @mightyboy: There are 2 mode of display : 16:9 and 4:3 .
Wide screen display is ok , no distort picture as far as I know. Quality of picture is acceptable with portable one.

        • One VGA and one RCA input. I have not fully test the battery yet , but it is replaceable, you can buy extra battery at AWA if u like .

  • I wonder what sort of milage you would get out of the battery.

      2200 mHa in the specs

  • Ebayee - you're amazing well done with all the responses - only thing letting this down for me is the lack of xvid/mpeg playback. If anyones got one could they let me know if it does play xvid.

  • a+ from me for all ya responses aswell :}

For interests sake. I remember about 15 years ago (as a 10yo) paying $150 for a second hand 2.5" portable colour TV. I thought it was amazing.

What's truly amazing is how times change! I don't think I could have fathomed that I would pay the same for a new 10" TV with digital tuner and memory card slots etc.
