True. The official price drop, No DEAL!!

      • -1

It's not official price drop . There are still some stores selling them more expensive than this deal

    • -1

$399 last week and was $499 on launch, bargain for mine.

  • Upto 18 hrs of battery life, no good.

    • it has a great heart rate monitor to track sleep, but you cant wear it in bed… unless u charge it before go to bed….

36 hour battery is minimum for any watch to be actually wearable for more than a day!

      • heart rate monitor
        wear in bed
        fitness tracking for 18 hours

        giggity giggity giggity

        • wonder how many hours with gps on?

based on other phones i'd guess around 2

LOL funny how you made the comment

I’ve found that 20 minutes of charging here and there gives it enough juice to last through the night. Charge time is very fast, benefits of a smaller battery.

sorry for saying that EC but I am kind of getting bored with those Apple Watch deals.

When it is the same price, buying direct from Apple is way to go

    • Why?

    • +2

It doesn't really matter where you buy it unless you plan to use the Apple Stores change of mind returns policy. They'll do support for phones purchased elsewhere should you have issues.

        Quite right.

Apple don't care about where you get your devices from. Being a global company that can't complain when you bring a device into them. I would be careful with brought from other places though, keep your receipt of Apple might claim it is older than it is.

I had a friend by an iPhone from an online seller and 4 months in went to get it repaired and was told that it was out of its 1 year warranty. Lucky he had his receipt but the online seller had brought a bunch from an official reseller who had registered the sale date.

Did apple honour the warranty though? As technically your friend bought it from a unauthorised dealer.

Also its quite common practice for manufacturers to use the manufacture date or release date as purchase date if no receipt is provided. If they allow it.

        • @lplau:

Yes, they did. In the end, he had legally bought an Apple Product and while the seller had gotten it a weird way he had an ABN and had provided a receipt.

I have found Apple are pretty good with their warranty. They once replaced my iPhone I had given a bath by accident (and told them) and they did it free of charge.

        • @daven1985: People tend to balk at the sales price of Apple products but I’ve always had good service from them. Even out of warranty they tend to be quite forgiving.

@victinini: I agree. I have found that in-store if your nice and piolet they are friendly. I also had an iPhone replaced under warranty that had a technical fault that they said was in acceptable levels so shouldn't be replaced.

However speaking to them nicely they decided to replace as they saw my frustration at the issue.

10/10 Apple support is my personal history.

This deal has legit been done to death. Stop.

    • Much like these anti-Apple posts, we get it, Apple are different.

    A courageous deal nonetheless
