To get your free copy of Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac (Not For Resale): simply scroll down the page until you see "Step 2: Pass the knowledge check" and choose the following answers.

  1. All of these
  2. True
  3. Programs, files, media, and user settings such as browser favorites
  4. All of the above

Now scroll further down a little and fill in the form, for the part that says Company just write Student, and below "Store Number or Store Name" just select Creative.

Once you have done that, click on the big green Sign Up Now button. On the final page it says it can take up to 10 days to receive the serial, but I received mine 4 days after submitting the form :)

        I compared the FPS when playing Metro2033 between VMWare Fusion and PD; I can tell you PD is better!

    Big waste of time getting this download. No doubt when MacOS Sierra is released, this current version of Parallels won't be compatible…. Next Sierra compatible version will definitely not be free….

          Welcome! Its similar to bootcamp except it runs as an application - either in a window or full screen, but when running full screen just swipe left on the touchpad with 3 fingers and it'll switch between OS X and the OS you've installed on Parallels.

          You can also choose how much space you want to reserve for the OS, I think a minimum of 2-3GB is recommended for Windows 7/8 so it runs smooth

    Too many ozbargainers doing Parallels access.

    This is a lengthy process that forces you to watch four videos and take a test. So if you have not even successfully loaded the site it would be better if you tried later and allow those who have already done that to complete their signing up and free up the site for you.
