Sign up to receive the catalogues by email, after the second and sixth get a $25 off voucher (minimum $50 spend). Unfortunately they have a short expiry, so mine expired :/

i got an sms last week for the '2nd catalogue' $25 credit. i just re-read it and it has a expiry date of 19/9. Earlier i read that the 2nd and 5th week codes could be stacked up for a $100 purchase :/ guess thats gone now.

i signed up a bit later after the catalogue deal was posted :) thought i could get my mum an ipad for her birthday yeek. Do you think TGG would price match to OW prices and then let you apply the code? (wait is the code only for online purchases too?)
i just went back to check the post and they did say you could stack the codes to make $100. does that mean they were encouraging people to sign up on multiple accounts? As the credits expire in 2 weeks but the weeks between the 2 and 5th catalogue are at least 3?

You can still combine 2 but you need to sign up with 2 different accounts so you can apply both before the other expires
I bought a chromecast and a $2 Telstra Sim a little over a week ago. Used the $25 voucher so $49 for the chromecast plus $2 for the Telstra sim minus $25 from the voucher equals $26.

Bear in mind that the 4K Chromecast Ultra/Pro is expected early October. No idea what the price will be, but if you want the latest and greatest….
I'd want it for 4k but my internet connection probably isn't fast enough to stream 4k anyway
The new 4K chromecast will support HEVC and VP9, which helps bring bitrates down to a tolerable level. Netflix is pushing it's 4K offerings at 16Mbps, which is in theory within the scope of Trunball's "everyone will get 25Mbps" pseudo promise.
Even without that, it becomes credible to stream stuff you've already downloaded, and things like HEVC are quite reasonable at lower bitrates too. There's talk of better wifi/more antennas, but in theory that shouldn't limit you (eg even 802.11n is in the hundreds of Mbps). They might even put in an ethernet port.
