  • Aaagh. i wanted to sign up for this before my plan ended on the 15th of this month and they told me last week it was gone, so i just signed up for Virgin $40 p/m. so annoyed.

      • yes it is that one :) i guess its worth it for the sake of convenience and reliability. but man.. $15 for 10GB / 3 months would have been pretty sweet. i only mostly need data, dont really call much/

      • Good value for prepaid without discounts, but I had horrible 2 year experience with the Virgin Mobile Samsung Wave phone plan in 2008 and have avoided Virgin since then. If there were discounts, I want to hear from other people first before trying Virgin again, and the discounts need to bring the monthly subscription costs lower than this $15 Yomojo promo.

    I used cashrewards because apparently there's a $45 cashback offer. I'm stuck on the processing page after you enter your credit card details. There's no option to put the YMJAW code.

    Update:
    1) Amps from Yomojo confirmed my payment went through,
    2) The YMJAW code went through despite not having the option to enter YMJAW, so 2 months free was confirmed granted;
    3) $20 referral was confirmed thanks to @syamcvaa2;
    4) $45 cashrewards offer was unknown to Amps, so will monitor cashrewards account during the week.

    • No tracked cashrewards transaction yet after 6 days when my Aliexpress transaction from yesterday was already tracked.

      Also, the SIM card hasn't come yet, despite the email stating automatic activation on 19th (~approx 14 days from purchase date). Everyone, please consider the automatic activation before purchasing, @Currybender OP please update.

        Amps told me that I couldn't receive referral credits because my service want active yet (I only just received my sim after about 7 days).

        Does the $20 credit show up in your available credit?

        Apologies to all those that I referred if you didn't get the credit. Seems like yomojo duped us.

    • Yeah you get $20 credit for yourself and the referrer, feel free to choose me as your referrer for providing you a response. Also remember to use cashrewards because there's supposed to be $45 cash back as mentioned above. However, the cashrewards transaction has not appeared under my tracked transactions. Anyone able to shed light with their own experiences is warmly welcomed in the above response

  • Yomojo fiasco
    Hi everyone, if you got scammed by Yomojo denying you the right to use your balance to buy subscription packs, know that Yomojo changed their T&Cs after everyone got in, and then inappropriately denied everyone in retrospect. Yomojo admitted unable to specify a revision cut off date but their fishing net disadvantaged a lot of customers.

    As a result, Yomojo used half of my "remaining credit balance" for a subscription pack.

    Furthermore, a lot of customers had auto top up deactivated but were charged by Yomojo without consent. Such unconsented charging violates consumer rights. Ask Yomojo to remove your credit card from their system. Around late Dec 2016 to early Jan 2017, Yomojo admitted to system glitches. Please check your credit card and file a complaint against Yomojo unauthorised charging.

    As anyone would, I want out and to take their "remaining credit balance" owed by Yomojo. However, Yomojo have highly unethical administrative practices in dispute handling too. I asked on your behalf to rectify this huge mess. Yomojo told me they would only if customers file a complaint. In such a way Yomojo hope none of us complain to avoid compensating us.

    A TIO complaint was lodged and the support manager feigned ignorance of not understanding what "remaining credit balance" meant to wait and delay until after close of business on my last day of my subscription to repeat the same question three times. Yomojo purpose was to force me into chewing into my "remaining credit balance" so there would be nothing to reimburse. Dodgy af huh, but wait it gets worse.

    Yomojo deliberately waited after expiry so that there was no service for a whole weekend + few days to call me and say the reimbursement will be processed. Yomojo has willful disregard for customers.

    I strongly urge everyone to file complaints with the TIO to get your owed remaining balance back to your bank account from when Yomojo intentionally misdirected everyone. Also, to check your credit card for unauthorised charges. These violations must be reported to the TIO and punished for consumer exploitation. Yomojo fiasco
