    I bought a handful of similar items from this deal.

    I paid for quicker shipping. On the shipping tracking it's still listed as not being picked up from Zapals yet. So the absolute latest I should have gotten it was 3 business days processing + 8 business days shipping and it would arrive today. Since it hasn't actually been picked up yet odds are it's not going to get here for at least another week, maybe more.

    So general PSA: it might take up to double the listed processing & posting times.

      I think mine took 4 weeks to be picked and two weeks shipping. Seems like a good unit though.

    This is typical loss leader behaviour so just keep in mind that they are buying you as a mailout subscriber with this deal. Nothing wrong with that but just be aware. I bought four of these and it took well over a month to get them.

    Very nice device. Works perfectly for me. Feels very light when you put an SSD in it but I guess that's to be expected :p

    Simple but sturdy. Handy thing to have around if you're working on a laptop and installing a new drive - can just put the old drive in this and then copy it via USB to the newly installed one.

    Personally I wouldn't risk corrupting my drive on a $6 caddy. Caddy of similar quality can be had at MSY for $12.

        Funny you should say that because I did that last week. Bought an SSD + $12 caddy. Caddy + SSD did not work. I took it back in, they RMA'd on the spot. They recommended the $15 caddy. I paid my extra $3, they mounted it and checked it and now it is working great.

      Generally, I find the hard drive / SSD lasts shorter than than the enclosure. The reason this enclosure is being discounted is most likely due to the 2TB limit (so it only supports 32-bit LBA, rather than 64-bit LBA). Essentially, old stock.

      If you have older hard drives or SSDs which can benefit from an enclosure, this might be a good choice.

        I wouldn't consider a 2TB 2.5" HDD old, and I couldn't even afford a 2TB SSD.

    I forgot to add, that it works really well and feels pretty well built. Of course concerns on putting an expensive drive into a cheap enclosure are valid but it actually feels pretty good. I like the ease of insert and removal, the drives fit well and and remove easily when required but no chance of it opening and coming out by itself.

    Very good case, bought one 'full price' from ebay for $13. I'm using to to put old laptop 2.5" drives in.
    Didn't receive a confirmation email from these guys, even though paypal payment went out, anyone else have this issue?
