Yeah customer service is they send it back to the manufacturer for warranty, and they don't recommend products because under the consumer laws they might mislead and you would ask for a refund as it's unsuitable ……
hence they don't talk much, just sell you what you ask for, and it's up to you to have done your research as to suitability for your needs.
This is great, missed the last one because of exams.

Something likes a QNAP TS-453A.
I am using Synology DS916+ with 2x4tb HGST. So far I really like the Synology interface. Feels like Windows and you get video station, torrenting, audio station and ftp capabilities. Haven't had an issue for the past 2 weeks since I got it. I don't use torrent much on my Nas but I just use seedbox for torrents and download from seedbox to my NAS. Safer in a sense.
Haven't tried QNAP yet so I can't comment on it.

HP intel gen 8 microserver (wireless 1 $259), takes 4 drives in the front and can boot off USB or a 5th Sata, and you can run synology or freeNAS on it.

I know it sounds silly but with online shopping 'the new normal' for anything computer related I cannot remember the last time i physically walked into a store to buy stuff (other than to pick things up)
Can you find out online if they do have stock or does it require a phone call ? Hurstville appears to be my closest store..
I think you need to order online from their website first. At least that's how I usually do it. Note that you'll have to select the pickup option for your local store before you place the order.
Scored a new modem and wireless adapter and probably going back for a mobo once I've made my mind up on my new build. Cheers, OP.
