I am not very sure as to how this laptop at this price compares with other good entry-level laptop deals in market at the moment, such as this and this with 20% off. In any case, $297 looks like a very good price for a brand new laptop with these specs.

  Quad core Celeron is still Celeron. My childhood nightmare was actually with a Celeron CPU.

    This is actually an alright celeron (not far behind the Pentium N3700). Not to be confused with the terrible N3050 that floods the budget market. Fine for a general purpose machine.

        @donnot: Yes, quite handy though. Easy to carry around or work on sitting on couch or in bed.
