A lot of people are going to be pissed.

Good thing rebel allows for free returns both instore and via post

Maybe add that to the OP to alert people they can return the previous purchase and make a new one using this deal

going to try and buy this instore with 20% off and use 2 AMEX cards to reduce price to $197

    • I am standing behind you to buy your brand new unopened one.

    • +1

Pay $100*2 to get $40 off with AMEX, then pay $36.80 with the Ultimate Kids Gift Card bought @14.5% discount @ Coles!! :D

    • Buying online with free delivey and the $18.80 cashrewards cashback might be easier and then you still have 1x$20 rebate to spare

      • im going to see if HN will price match $236. That way i can get a $66 item and still pay $200 for the watch (after amex cashback)

  • +1

Very happy I waited and didn't just jump at it this morning, inc cashrewards its a huge saving.

      With ozbargain sometimes procrastination pays!

Was going to make the same comment, but never got around to it.

  • Hmm, I price matched at HN to get it for $296 (before a $100 Amex credit) I wonder if I price match again with their 7-day price match policy, if the Amex credit would get reversed as the transaction would no longer be above $300?

    • Would HN match the 20%off coupon price?

      • they did it for me once

        • That would be great because you could use the Amex and effectively get the watch for 237 - 100*237/300 = $158 assuming you buy something else to trigger the $300 Amex deal.

    • hmmm I got it price matched at HN and added a micro sd card to hit the $300 mark with Amex ….go I guess it's still a cheaper deal ?

      • Yeah - still a better deal with Amex at HN as the watch is $200 (and even less if you can get the 20% off too).

    • +1

I just tried and they said they wouldn't price match the coupon code. YMMV

      • Same here.

  • Wow…. that price.
    God dam….

    Thank youuuuuuuuuuu OP

I was so close to buying it last night and I thought I'd sleep on it. hahah

Probably this is one of the rare occasions in ozbargain history when "you snooze you loose" does not apply!

  • Kicking myself for not getting the $20 AMEX deal. Great price.

  • Showing up as out of stock or unavailable for me?

If I've missed this by ten minutes imma be pissed. Bought the 230 a few months ago for $270.

  • Looks to be out of stock. Damnnnnn

  • Dammit! I was waiting for the entertainment voucher to come through before I bought it. Looks like I missed it.

  • Bloody hell. Decided to wait until I was back home, all gone now.

  • anyone took a screenshot of their cart? for price protection. Thanks

I think they have pulled the listing. Most of the discounted garmin products are suddenly unavailable.

    • Yeah I think you are on to something.

      Will check back tomorrow.

    • +1

Yup they've removed most of the top tier sport watches entirely.

All the fenix 3's, the suunto top tier stuff…

      Shady!

  • +1

Um…I wonder what is going to happen. It is not a pricing error as such but I guess they inadvertently allow two discounts to stack when they are not meant to stack…

    • Hoping they don't cancel mine, got this email:

"We are currently reviewing the payment details provided and will send to you a confirmation once these details have been verified"

      • I have even received cashrewards confirmation …….

        • +1

mine says "We would like to confirm that internet order xxxxxx you placed has been received and is currently being processed.""

          paid with paypal

        • +1

@aerona: I got something similar to that and I paid with CC

I guess its time to play the waiting game.

However, if you look here: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/11/trainers-fenix3-boatload… American Garmin is having a sale at the moment and starting from 24/11 the 235 is on sale. I'd say its probably at the end of its lifespan and will be replaced by a new product so… hopefully they are happy to part with stock now!

  • If anyone got marsala colour and wants to change to black, PM me. Have a black one bought yesterday that is still unopened.

  • I bought one of these a few months ago from rebel.

The band will suffer from wear so the matte finish will wear off and feel like rubber.

Remember to wash the band after every workout or you'll develop skin irritation/rash.

    • Remember to wash the band after every workout or you'll develop skin irritation/rash.

I did, but got skin irritation anyway. I couldn't find any third party band, so Garmin refunded the money.

  • Still haven't got confirmation they are honouring this.

    • Still waiting as well. My partner bought during the day (prior to 'rebfrenzy' code) and received his yesterday

    • I got shipping confirmation today

      • Ok cool, I'm hopeful but haven't heard anything yet. Did you order just the watch or other items as well?

        • +1

          Just the watch

        • @em:
Thanks me too. I had a theory that they might only honour orders accompanied with other gear. Seemingly they are honouring regardless

  • I was able to get the Rebel East gardens $269 price match. Useful if you don't have the Amex HN $100 cash back promo.
