Any one have the new chuck taylor IIs? Recommend? The originals were the most uncomfortable things I've worn on my feet…
i was planning to the buy the originals because their product description shows "Nike Lunarlon insole for cushioning". Can't tell if that's a mistake though…
I am a Converse Junkie (I collect the limited editions but not to wear) - Chuck Taylor II is MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. Has a cushioned insole. I find them a little 'tighter' in my regular size though with the new insole, but prefer the new to the old style. I think this style of shoe is better if you have a narrow foot.
Do you know if a solid black colourway of the Chuck IIs is available? I find the contrast white sole/logo/laces make them look a bit clownish. But I can't seem to find any just black pairs on the website
Have you checked out The Iconic or ASOS? They tend to sometimes have stock that Converse are no longer showing as available on their website.

I've been a Converse man for a very long time but I just can't recommend them anymore. The quality has just gone downhill rapidly. I used to be able to buy a pair and they'd easily last a year or two, now I struggle to get 6 months. I'm not hard on my shoes, I wear them maybe 3 hours a day, heading to/from work, going to lunch etc. I don't get them wet or muddy or do any hard work in them yet they are falling apart like I soak them in river water for 10 hours a day.
My past 3 pairs have all done this. Just something to keep in mind.
