    Can I order the HDD from other ways without going to the site??? It's just impossible to load it…tried many times, only loaded twice…but the page was half displayed…and sold out of course…

    • lol no

  • Looks like its gone. Better luck next time guys. I'm disappointed I couldn't get one =/

    Doesn't seem like anyone's able to get one after 2pm, or maybe only the ones who didn't are posting lol…

    Some confirmation would be good

  • +1

    Eeny MinnieMinyWu, Come out and kindly explain the situation please.

    • He/she might be very busy receiving too many order, as we speak…

  • -1

    lol they won't, there to scareddddd

    • His/her profile says he/she's online o.O

  • Funny when you think about their motivation for this deal (attract customers I assume, perhaps also word of mouth, image as true bargain site etc) and in the end they pissed people more off than anything else by offering something they aren't able to handle yet.

  • People don't hold phones - Steve Jobs

  • Sold out

    • -3

      thanks for stating the obvious

  • It's now gone 2pm I still cant get onto the site, can anyone confirm
    if there is going to be any more stock?

    • +2

      no there at lunch

      they may have more at 6pm

      thats when they need to start cooking the server

  • +2

    this is fail to the max

  • Made a reasonable effort to access the deal.
    If you make a reasonable effort and cannot access the deal, then it is not a good deal.

    Negative.

    • We are try to do our best. But it is over load. please be understand it is not good to us too.

      Please be understand.

  • +1

    it's been 40 minutes of f5…. since 2pm (not including the f5ing from 12pm)
    is this a good enough reason to neg?

    • yes.

  • +1

    i think its a scam, seriously, the java applet or whatever it is kept saying 1 or 2 or 4 or whatever in stock for me but as soon as the mouse hovered over it, it would reduce consistently like it was a animation….it kept doing this on an off for a while….so i was unable to actually buy cause moving the mouse made the numbers available to buy go down

    (both in firefox and internet explorer)

  • wasted an hr trying!

  • Makes me wonder if there was anything for sale at all at 2pm if no one here could buy a single piece.

  • +1

    !!! Cheers

      Have to say i am a bit suprised the amount of flack you are coping over this, looks like you tried your best and you have offered great deals and freebies before.

      Guess people are exited by the price and then equally disappointed by not being able to get it.

      Relax peeps its onbvious this person is trying and then freebies come, what a nice thing to do :)

      Good luck hope you get the website/servers sorted

      • Thanks we will change the server next week. I think will be getting better.

        Thanks

    We can't even sell anything

    Thanks

    • :) oK. I'm out

      Quit spamming xD

    • +1

      Why didn't you tell us this 1 hour ago?

    • Why don't you make the site offline, do the maintenance then place it back up :S ?

      • We have try that before. But we con't even get in to our server.

    • The site is up and smooth now *at least for me XD

  • how many do you have for sale?

  • 100

    • im guessing none got sold tho ;)

  • Pricesengine, just try again tomorrow :)

  • ok well this is ruddy stupid, i get into the paypal account and all i get is gibberish on the price site, its not even working with paypal so how on earth can ie ven purchase if i get in??

  • guys please we have to update the stock. Give us a min. Please otherwise we can not sell anything. Thanks

    • +1

      What do you expect? People have been sitting at their PCs for hours trying to access the deal, now you just ask them to give up trying? I don't get your whole business model, since you have only 1 deal at a time you can't even call these "loss leaders".

  • +2

    Relax guys this is a legit seller, they've sold many electronics etc. with many happy OzB customers.

    With a price as cheap as this, it basically beats anyone out there.. and they're 4000+ clicks purely from OzB itself (haven't seen a number that huge for a while), you can't expect them to be any better than COTD with a freebie-rush, which only has about 2000+ pure clicks from OzB - and that usually crashes them hardd…

    it's because there's thousands of people who RSS feed the deals here from their fancy phones/tablets, and other sites who leach bargains from this site, then there's word of mouth etc etc. it's not just us who's commenting and +repping

  • Think sites dead or they are out of stock :(

  • This is rubbish. What the hell does this code do?

    $(document).ready(function(){
        if(0 < 1)
        {
            $("#quantity_dummy").val('sold-out');
            $("#quantity_dummy").attr('disabled','true');
        }
    //$("#quantity_dummy").val('sold-out');
        if(0 < 1)
        {
            $("#quantity_dummy").val('sold-out');
            $("#quantity_dummy").attr('disabled','true');
        }
    });

    • I'm pretty sure their code would automatically update the 0 number to how many there are in stock.

      • Aha so you're saying the 0 numeral there could be passed server-side? Hmm yes I hadn't thought of that.

    • 0 < 1 always true XD

    • I think that's just temp, I tried submitting using the same form from on-the-fly debugging, but requires an active session, lol fail. That code you pasted is simply javascript, don't worry you're not in for a scam.

  • even if you got through like i did the paypal integration to their site doesnt work, all just gibberish about price and all my details were wrong

  • Guys we are trying to restart the server now. Please give us a min. Thanks

    • so you can't get into your own server, and unless you do you can't change the quantity ?
      What do u think would happen if you sell 1TB HDD for $49.95 ?

      Upgrade your servers for next time around …

      • +4

        Maybe their hard drives aren't up to it!

  • It is still showing sold out…

  • +1

    It has been many minutes now

  • minniewu, can you please reserve 2 for me? It's always sold out on your side :(( PLEASSSSSSSE…..

  • Give the server a good slap and kick… should help it move along..hehehe

  • +2

    I'm not greedy. I just want one to shut my bf up =p

  • +1

    at least im finally getting the page to load up now…just all sold out tho lol

  • +15

    For ppl who whinge and whinge, please don't try to load pricesengine webpage and I hope you never come back to this site. At least they will reduce the load on the server.

    Pricesengine is trying hard to source products with excellent price and yet you guys just keep complaining.

    I couldn't manage to get one but we should all expect this to happen when the deal is that good.

    You don't really lose anything if you didn't get it but if you neg them for not able to load the page (prob partly due to your fault anyway leechers) you're an idiot! They are trying to do business here.

    I haven't bought anything from them but i think their prices are pretty good.

    Minnie you're doing a good job =)

      • I should neg you for the swearing, but I agree with the statement.

  • oh my god people cant u just quit the page first

  • i have faith in them i got my free HDMI cable real fast :) good work even if i dont get peanuts.

  • -1

    minniewu….thanks for the deal, maybe for this one choose some of the interested posters of your choice and give them access to the drives…just a thought. Otherwise your server is going to continue to be flooded.

    • +1

      yeah, because sucking up is gonna get you one

      • +1

        lol

      • refreshing hasnt….suggestion, no sucking here.

  • Waiting waiting….

    Looking to purchase…

  • +1

    We still have about 188 people online. please we have to update the quantity. Please give us a min to update the stock for you guys.

    Thanks

    • +2

      Take the site offline then.

      • -1

        I think they would if they could, looks like they can't or don't know how.

        • +2

          killall httpd

          • @jobski: They probably need to access a web interface to update the stock level.

        • Pretty silly then.. Not everyone would be on the site from OzBargain :(

          • @MiCCAS: traffic would also come from facebook fans, and whirlpool for starters…

            • @[Deactivated]: at this rate, it's never gonna be updated, everyone wants to be the first one on. they won't get 0 viewers at any point from now, meaning they can't update, which means no one's getting anything.

              • @shk1: They should implement a maintenance page that they activate to stop people from accessing the main site.

                • @juln: would be useful at times like this, yes

    • easy way, update in your website, the deal will be on at 6pm, please came back later. then you can do update your item.
      some people might not check this ozbargain site all the time

  • Any idea what shipping to Melb will be like?

    • total cost for me was $57.73 AUD to melbourne when I originally purchased it just after midday (too lazy to work out postage for you)

  • -2

    been refreshing for 1.5hrs now, i'm not gonna give up that easily

  • It's a whole chicken or egg situation going on here

  • +2

    We will all need good deals on new keyboards after this for wearing out the f5 key lol

    • +1

      Actually, I'm on the look out for a good price on a backlit keyboard. Microsoft sidewinder x4, logitech illuminated…something like that. just sayin', might be a good idea for next week, minniewu :)

  • +2

    I think priceengine should build another server with their own parts ;)

    • Yes we will. We will change our server next week.

  • yeah and new computers from punching them in anger!! LOL

  • When is the deal going online?

  • Just out of curiosity: what hard drive is the server using that keeps crashing? One of these? ;) just kidding

  • How about we just email you and the first 50 emails receive a HDD? :-P

  • server's actually pretty responsive now… but sold-out…
    maybe i didn't refresh more frequently. hat's off to those that got one. better luck next time to the rest of us.
