    Bloody hell, that's good.

    • +2

it would be better if they stocked more than say 10 of each item they sell.. its already "sold out"

      • +5

I counted (haphazardly I confess) only 6 people posting to say they bought one.

I suspect there may have been only 10 drives - at the very most - released, one by one to keep the flies buzzing.

Same with the SSD drives last week: "Lots of sizzle, but not much sausage".

  • Yea got one without hesitation.

This is the last HDD I will ever buy. Going with SSD's for my next PC upgrade.

edit: PricesEngine is now officially my favourite website.

Wonder what's next for sale, I hope it's a Core 2 Quad CPU or DDR3 RAM. Could do with a cheap upgrade :))

    • They had i7 cpu only a few days ago

    • +1

Last I checked, a 512gb SSD would set you back around $2000.

When do you plan to next upgrade your PC?

      • -1

When was the last time you checked?
        You can get a 960gb SSD from scorptec for $369, 1TB for $418, 2TB for $785.

  • -2

Being able to buy more than 1 would be good :)

  • -1

I'd buy 3 if I had the money… Damn tax return comes a month too late! :)

Awesome price for a fast 7200rpm not 5400rpm

  • how do you pay for this without paypal?

    • You can't. Sorry.

  • what a price,far under cost.

  • +1

    unbelievable Price!!
    Got one…
    Thanks scrimshaw!

  • Our BOSS it's not home today!

    • LOL miniewu
Can you launch another deal if your Boss doesn't come back…!

  • These are awesome. I have two running in RAID 0. Unbelievably fast! :P

    • +1

      Say that in 2017 lol

      • +1

Incredibly, though I've replaced the boot drive with a succession of SSD's since, these are still running in essentially their original configuration. I've added a couple of Hitachi's and changed to RAID10, but they are still as fast and reliable!

  • Sold out :(

  • Bought one too… ~$30 cheaper than the lowest price from staticice. :D
They really take people by surprise.. infinitely better than keeping them hanging with empty promises.

    • Lol like LTS haha

  • sold out apparently

  • -3

    no more stock

    friggin worthless

  • JUST keep reload the page. It will be back again.

  • sold out can u sell me one as i asked for it to go on
    thanks

  • So there's still no limit on how many one paypal account can buy?
    A bit unfair..

    • +1

i got an error trying to get more than one. says 1 per paypal only.

      • +2

Oh good then! They listened! :D

  • Damnit, i reload, it shows stock, click, and sold out, over and over again..

  • paid $80 for one a few weeks ago and that was cheap.
So had to get another one for no real reason.

SO lucky i got one in time.

    Thanks for the post!!

  • How long will it take to build a computer from just parts from pricesengine alone?

    • ummmm~~~

      Hard to say…..

      • Would love DDR3 RAM next week if possible, given what has been released to date…

  • I want one :(

  • +2

Great deal … but really getting frustrated by the promise of more SSD's and it never eventuating. Surely PayPal is not the problem when you continue to sell new item using PayPal on a daily basis. Please make sure if you do have a new SSD that you restrict the quantity to 1 (or 2 if you get a reasonable level of stock) and have a sufficient number (before posting any deal) to ensure that everyone is happy.

  • Sold out already! BAH!!!!!

  • guys our server have a little bit over load.

We will stop the deal about 1:00 PM and back about 2:00 PM

    Thanks for your understanding.

    • Ah, awesome! Was already quite frustrated about having missed out 20 minutes into the deal. Good thing. Cheers.

  • -1

    Got one!!…
I think anyway, they took the money from my paypal, so i had better have one.. :)

  • +1

pricesengine.com deal is the new best offer now, most of their deals got sold out very fast.

  • got one 1 min ago! can't believe!

    • +5

      Its not butter.

  • Just picked 1 up, the stock seems to come back gradually 1 at a time.

    • How? Do you keep hitting refresh?

    • +1

That is the system problem. We still working on that. We trying to make sure everyone who want to purchase once they click on the buy it now button.

The stock it's already reserve for them. But if they don't confirm the payment at the end, we have to manually put the stock back for other customer to purchase.

That the reason why our server will over load. But we are trying to fix this problem ASAP.

In this case. we will face the situation like. All of the customer reserve the stock by click on the buy it now button. but not confirm the payment until they leave the site.

This action on our site will deduct the stock from our system. So

PLEASE DO NOT CLICK THAT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BUY IT.

  • come… just release all of them in 1 go.

  • .

  • Guys the deal will be stop now until 2pm. the server it's over load right now.

Sorry for any inconvenience. See you later.

[GUYS PLEASE BACK TO OUR SITE AT 2PM. WE WILL HAVE STOCK FOR YOU TO PURCHASE. NOW THE SERVER IT'S OVER LOAD WE GOING TO RESTART IT]

  • ALL GONE

    Please have 2TB Hard Drives!!!

    1TB is wayyyyyyyyy too small!!

    • I concur. Looking for a 2TB drive. I keep visiting IT Estate's website every day to see if it has gone down in price. I think I will bite when it is around $120 for a 2TB, although $99 would be pretty friggin' sweet.

    • +1

      Back at 2pm please

    • -8

      Whats the negative for?

      • +1

Who did that to you and to us.

        • You gave the deal a negative vote Bugoy8

      • +3

because you negged a good deal.

so i negged your comment too…

      • +3

Why are you negative voting a good deal?

  • Cya back here at 2pm!

  • anyone got a source for a cheap external case for this?

    • good point RdWarrior, I'm interested too.

  • see msy for that or umart

  • Pricesengine is legit, people have got their products, all good etc?

  • hi minniewu , can i pick up from your chatswood store?
also could you tell us what is the available stock for today sale? thanks

    • Sorry we don't provide pick Up service at this stage. But our shipping fee is cheap I'm sure.

I'm out for lunch. The deal will be back about 10min

we have about 100 unit togo.

I will be answer all the question once I get back to office.

  • anyone knows if Samsung do warranties from these online shops or not.

  • bargain!!

  • +1

Can someone please confirm the hardisk size:
    Pricengine website says 1TB
Samsung website says 1TB in main window,
Samsung website says "MAX.500GB Formatted Capacity Per Disk" under Overview Tab
Sansung website says "Capacity * 750 GB " under specifications Tab

    • +1

The model number is for a 1TB drive, it's a copy and paste error on the Samsung website.

  • Sold out :(

  • -1

whats the postage cost to NSW?

  • any chance of getting 2TB drives on special?

    • Yea I need to order 20 2TB hard drives

Probably sold out by then right? Is there any way I can reserve one or two? =P

  • Whats the shorthand way of saying terabyte? With megabyte its 'megs', with gigabyte its 'gigs' so would it be 'tebs' or 'tibs'?

    • +1

by the precedents you just showed us, it's "ters". i prefer "tits" though.

    • +3

Terras. As in Terra Patricks. Ahaha.

  • +1

Far out! crazy price… never seen anything like it

I'm starting to like this site :)

  • what's the postage cost to 3000?? anyone knows?

  • -2

how much is shipping? - this is needed to know if its a good deal or not!

    is this item new?

how do i know this isnt one giant scam since the website gives no real details as to who the seller is
    - i could be visiting a phishing website for all i know?

    • there is a ACN, if you dont trust then dont buy

      • Also, both this site and 9289.com.au are registered to Ideam. I have nothing but good things to say about 9289, so I am happy to trust pricesengine (until proven otherwise).

    • +1

I think they use instant paypal checkout.

you can see your shipping cost when you checkout with paypal :)

Btw, they are 9289.com.au (if you ever heard of them)
good reputation, so yeah :) Not a scam as people got their previous item already

eg. SSD Deal* Super bargain price
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/27154

    • through past deals OzB members has verified it's legit/authentic, but you're right they should have more info on their website, it would've look a bit scammy if i didn't know about it from OzB

and yeah please put the shipping :/ …..

  • -1

    this is awesome

  • I don't see the point of this bargain sale (for the seller). Why would you mark down your sale price to sell a few units? They must be losing money on this. Sure, it might generate a following, but it will be a legion of bargain hunters who will not pay over the odds for any future products offered. After all, they are bargain hunters.

    • Maybe they fell out the back of a truck? Who knows. Either way good work priceengine!

  • $6.76 to Sydney Metro area

  • +2

PayPal only payment option? That's annoying. Plenty of people out there who don't have an account with PayPal or have issues with their accounts.

    • Anyone can get a Paypal account, its not an exclusive club.
Bear in mind that you do have to link with a Bank account to be verified, which this seller requires.

    • Yeah I cancelled my paypal account back when eGay decided to make it a mandatory payment method. Vowed I'd never use the stupid thing again.

  • 2 minutes to go! servers will crash i bet :/

    • I think the servers are back up, and SOLD OUT is correct.
If the servers were down, so would be the web page.

      • no they are just displaying that so they can fix the servers i believe
